My phone soft reboots every few seconds, gets as far as "HTC, Quietly Brilliant" and then reboots, anyone had this before and know of a solution? I've googled around but most people with a reboot issue it is random, mine is constant and has been rebooting constantly for over an hour, only way to stop it is yank out the battery but still can't boot afterwards.

I've a Sony-Ericsson Xperia X10 with the lastest official ROM (2.3.3), rooted with Flashtool.
I've tried to uninstall a ROM app (Wize Drive, a GPS app without interest) with Titanium backup (lastest version). It annouced me the phone will restart 2 times to perform the uninstall.
But actually the phone just reboot again and again.
If plugged on power it restart itself. If unplugged, I must start manually (power button) and after a few seconds it powers off.
The cycle is Sony Ericsson logo, and after that a logo on black screen: a phone with a blue arrow and a yellow caution triangle for a few seconds. And it reboot again. This loop is endless, I can't use the phone anymore
Today my phone started continuously re-booting itself. Only gets to the HTC screen and then re-boots. I have done multiple battery pulls with no results. I cannot boot into recovery either, tried that many times as well. My only option is a screen that I have not seen before that asks if I want to clear all data and then reset the device.

And I have the Modaco mod, and I know it said there was a chance it could go wrong. But I tried nandroid restore and it didn't work, now I'm still in a boot loop, what should I do?
I've had System Panel's monitoring feature enabled overnight and I've noticed something using the CPU all night at between 1 and 2%. I have managed to track it down to a process called 'Suspend'. I just wondered if this was normal for whatever this process is? I would have thought the CPU should be at 0% if I'm not using the phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've downloaded 2 different apps, 3g watchdog & netcounter which both show the amount of 3g data usage for the phone. Just yesterday, I managed to apparently use nearly 20mb of 3g data, although I was barely on the web. I must've checked my facebook a couple of times, read a few emails, and that was it. I've also installed a task manager app which closes all running apps, which I always use before locking the screen and putting the phone in my pocket. So as far as I know, there shouldn't be any apps running or using any data at all. It may be that push email may be using a bit, but surely not 20mb in one day?? It's also only one email account and the full html version of the email is never shown. I'm with Vodafone, and their supposedly "Unlimited" internet is capped at 500mb, which means at the rate that my phone is apparently going now, I would have maxed that out in a month hardly using the internet at all! I doubt that the data counter apps are wrong as they are both showing the same usage. They've both had really good reviews by other users as well. However, I find it extremely hard to believe that I used 20mb in one day when I only looked at possibly 3 web pages. The counters actually show that I used over 1mb after 30 mins, even when I wasn't running any apps.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm getting quite frustrated with my Desire. All was fine when I first purchased it back in April (or whenever it was first released in Ireland) - I installed & played around with a countless number of apps and uninstalled the ones I found I didn't use frequently. In the past 4-5 weeks however, I'm constantly getting the "running low on internal memory" message appearing in my taskbar. I had to uninstall a lot of apps, including ones I did use frequently, in order to install the Froyo update and now I'm basically left with 15MB of internal storage and just over 20 apps installed (some of those are simple widgets).
These 20 apps installed on my internal phone memory accumulate to just over 41MB. Only 8 of my apps had SD storage activated. For a phone that touts 512MB of internal storage, I would love to know what on earth is taking up the other 446MB. Any ideas? It's so unbelievably frustrating having to uninstall apps I use on a daily basis (DropBox, Gowalla and so on) and I'm getting fed up.
Oh, and FYI I've cleared the cache in every app and rebooted several times but to no avail.
Installed the new updated 1.3 version of Facebook for Android this morning. when i checked my phone just now i noticed battery is lower than it should be. a look at the Battery Graph (separate app) shows that it's draining constantly... so i checked the PARTIAL WAKE USE via the Spare Parts app. and voila: the new facebook up stays awake constantly. that's despite having any connectivity turned off (via the network connection switch; i only turn on when i need it to save battery).

I tried rebooting, I took out the battery, I put a different SD card, I restored an older backup and I wiped all the data! Now it's always stuck at the green hTc screen.

OMG my desire wont boot up right!it shows the white screen and htc but it just stays there and i cant get into the HBOOT to reboot i always have to remove the battery to kill it. any help?? plus the phones hot should i just fully let it charged while it is off?

When i Turn on my Desire i will be prompted to enter the pin. When i dont enter anything the system loads and i just can make emergency calls.
So the question is how to enter my PIN afterwards ?
My phone is playing up, particularly signal and reception wise. So I want to 'format' the phone back to its factory settings and start again. However, I have a few questions. Firstly, I have noted what apps I have downloaded. Apart from the ones on the SD card, will I have to pay for the paid apps again in the Market? Only directly after such a reboot one can set the phone discoverable without fear of another crash. Terrific!

A few weeks ago I registered for that network thing, back then I was using the HTC Hero. At first it would work, then if I turned my phone work, it would say "Sim can not be registered to this Network" and when I searched for other Networks, only Orange would appear.
When I got the Desire, I can never seem to get this to work still. Orange has terrible signal in my area although there site says its amazing. I never have network in my own home. and Im not sure I have ever saw full bars on my Desire.
So my question is, does yours work 24/7 if you have it. Does anyone else get the sim not registered thing after a reboot and how can I actually set it up properly cause I may be doing it wrong. p.s I have roaming n etc on
I was just sending a text and all of a sudden i had the black screen of death and then the phone seemed to reboot itself with an image of a red triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle of it
I proceeded to try and turn the phone off but it gave me lots of options with a white screen, i couldn't get it to do anything so i took the battery out and then it started normally.
Is there a way to reboot the phone instead of shutting off, waiting, then turning it back on? Seems I have to do this for my battery to last since froyo, so hoping I can make the process easier.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI rooted using unrevoked 3, installed unrevoked forever & radio update as well as cyanogenmod. now when i go to use the camcorder it freezes the phone and reboots every time. i thought the radio update was to allow the use of the camcorder? any help would be very much appreciated as i am still VERY new to all of this. just been using guides set up on these forums as walkthroughs.

When I put the app on my HTC Hero, it works fine. But if I reboot the phone, the application icon stops using the icon.png, and instead begins to use the go_bg.png. The button that uses the go.xml no longer works either. Rebooting the phone basically breaks the app. I can reinstall the app and it again works fine all up until I reboot.
I know of two ways to get the app on the phone, first using Eclipse and second using the HTC Sync software that came with the phone. Installing the app either way produces the same issues in the end.
I've tried renaming the button image names and the xml file. Nothing helps there.
My phone is the HTC Hero. In Eclipse I'm building using the 1.5 SDK.
Any idea why rebooting my phone breaks my app?

lately what the november ota update came out I haven't been able to update. I accept the prompt and it says the update will be installed after the required reboot...after the counter counts down the phone doesn't reboot. I tried to clear the storage, I did a factory reset, then I even did the how to downgrade to factory 2.2 (http://androidforums.com/incredible-all-things-root/99828-video-howto-unroot-incredible-downgrading.html)...when I was prompted to update again the end result was the same....

View 4 Replies View RelatedI went through the long process of setting up my new Evo LTE yesterday. Basically, installing and configuring a bunch of apps. Everything was looking good and working well. So the last thing that I decided to do last night was to give it a reboot. I saw it reboot (and was nice and fast) so I walked away. When I came back I noticed that it seemed to be rebooting again. So I watched it. The phone starts up and I can unlock it. I see items in the notification bar starting, I see a message right above the bottom menu bar appear stating "Content update error. Try again later.", and then about 30 seconds later the screen goes gray and then reboots. I have time to get in and look at settings and uninstall things - about 1 minute. But I really do not know where to start.
Is there a way of preventing apps from auto starting at boot? The phone is stock (no root).
