General :: HTC Acquire Root - Reboot Into Recovery Mode It Says Locked?

Nov 13, 2012

Ok, I just bought an HTC Acquire with Android Version 2.3.4 HTC Sense 3.0 Software number 1.26.557.9 Kernel 2.6.35.10

When I reboot it into recovery mode it says:

***Locked***

Kingdom PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-1.22.0000
RADIO-1.11.00.0903
eMMC-boot
Aug 8 2011

I have tried to root this phone using Gingerbreak, Revolutionary, Z4root, and a few others. When I search on Google or the XDA website I can't find absolutely anything about an HTC Acquire. It's like the internet thinks the phone doesn't exist? I recently upgraded to it from my HTC Desire CDMA Bravo-c that I had rooted, flashed a custom rom, custom kernel, custom radio, the works.

General :: Galaxy S3 I9305 On 4.3 Losing Root Mode On Reboot

Mar 5, 2014

I've rooted 6 or so different android phones mainly using cf-autoroot, including an i9300, and never had any issues. But I have had a few issues rooting my 9503 using the cf-autoroot method (method #1 in this post). It aooeared to work, but SuperSU subsequently fell over, and Knox complained but after reading other posts I rectified that, but obviously not quite correctly:

After using cf-autoroot, SuperSU DID NOT appear in the apps list, but Google Play said it was installed but only presented the option to open it (not update or remove).

So I then tried flashing twrp (as per method #2 in this post) which all appeared to go successfully according to Odin. I was expecting to install superSU updater, as per step 3, but recovery mode appeared unchanged/stock so of course I couldnt flash anything as there was no option to do so. Yet there were no errors reported by Odin?

So I then got hold of the app file for SuperSU 1.93 and installed it (via Airdroid). It ran. It found knox. It removed it, and root was installed successfully (as verified by root checkers, titanium backup, droid wall and the like). So I concluded I had successfully rooted my 9305.But when I reboot SuperSU falls over again on boot up, and the version I added via Airdroid has disappeared, and of course there is no root mode.

But I can then restore root access after a reboot simply by following the same process, namley installing the supersu apk via Airdroid. And why is the later version of SuperSU disappearing on reboot?

General :: Evo LTE - Phone In Reboot Loop?

May 26, 2012

I went through the long process of setting up my new Evo LTE yesterday. Basically, installing and configuring a bunch of apps. Everything was looking good and working well. So the last thing that I decided to do last night was to give it a reboot. I saw it reboot (and was nice and fast) so I walked away. When I came back I noticed that it seemed to be rebooting again. So I watched it. The phone starts up and I can unlock it. I see items in the notification bar starting, I see a message right above the bottom menu bar appear stating "Content update error. Try again later.", and then about 30 seconds later the screen goes gray and then reboots. I have time to get in and look at settings and uninstall things - about 1 minute. But I really do not know where to start.

Is there a way of preventing apps from auto starting at boot? The phone is stock (no root).

Android :: Phone Reboot Breaks App

Oct 21, 2009

In my project, in the res/drawable directory I have:

CODE:.......................

When I put the app on my HTC Hero, it works fine. But if I reboot the phone, the application icon stops using the icon.png, and instead begins to use the go_bg.png. The button that uses the go.xml no longer works either. Rebooting the phone basically breaks the app. I can reinstall the app and it again works fine all up until I reboot.

I know of two ways to get the app on the phone, first using Eclipse and second using the HTC Sync software that came with the phone. Installing the app either way produces the same issues in the end.

I've tried renaming the button image names and the xml file. Nothing helps there.

My phone is the HTC Hero. In Eclipse I'm building using the 1.5 SDK.

Any idea why rebooting my phone breaks my app?

A while back I rooted, then promptly unrooted when I decided that the pros of the rooting world didn't outweigh the cons...I figured all was fine since my phone was soff.

lately what the november ota update came out I haven't been able to update. I accept the prompt and it says the update will be installed after the required reboot...after the counter counts down the phone doesn't reboot. Samsung Epic 4G :: How To Reboot Phone Via Key Combo?

Sep 14, 2010

I may just be losing it, but is there a way to reboot the Epic via key combo? i.e. to reboot the i Phone you just continue to hold power, to reboot a blackberry you do crtl + right caps + delete...but there doesn't seem to be any way to reboot the epic and it is really, really annoying. Been having this bug that Tasker is causing and I need to reboot the phone every morning, and I need to do it once I get away from my home wifi, so when I walk out of the building I have to keep fiddling with the on and off buttons while walking...long story short I would really like an easier way of doing a quick and easy reboot that doesn't require extra steps to turn the phone back on once I've turned it off.
