Jul 21, 2010Had no problem getting my phone to play nice with our exchange server at work and emails are coming/going fine.
However, there are some configuration items I have a big issue with as it relates to the 'look' of the email (coming from a BlackBerry).
1. Is there any way to have a single folder show my received items and sent items combined? My BB had this and it was very useful.
2. How can I edit the way my folders are displayed at the top horizontal bar? The sidescrolling folder display is awkward, it puts my inbox first (good) but then all subsequent folders are listed alphabetically; it pays no attention to their order on my desktop and also shows sub-folders of other files. Any way to change this?
3. Is there a way to change the way emails show as unread? The difference b/n read and unread is only a shade of grey, and difficult to see outside.
Android :: K9 Mail - (IMAP) Trash Folder
Aug 30, 2010When I delete a message from my K9 Mail app, it creates a label in my webmail account named "[imap]/trash". It also places a copy of the mesasge in the normal TRASH folder. I delete the [imap]/trash folder from my webmail account, but K9 re-creates it whenever I delete a message from the phone. How can I stop K9 from doing this, and only placing a copy in the normal TRASH folder?

May 14, 2010Why will the gmail app not empty the trash folder? If I delete an email on the phone and then switch to the trash folder my emails are there. I then select them all again to delete as you would expect. Yet each time I reload the trash folder all the deleted emails are still there. If I want to really delete them I have to go in to gmail with my pc.

When I have a lot of emails piled up in my trash folder like say 70 or more, when I hit delete all it hangs and doesn't do anything and than it forces close. What I do is delete them 10 at a time. May 27, 2010I recently installed Simply Stunning 3.2 rom and its running fine so far, however I have a bit of a problem with a shortcut that I made with bettercut. I made shortcut for contacts with bettercut but when I try to use it, it tells me the application is not installed. Now I have encountered this before and found that I could fix it by deleting the duplicate shortcut that bettercut makes on the built in home launcher (I use helix). My problem with this new rom is that it doesn't have the home launcher installed and only has helix and helix 2. Due to this, I have no way to open the android home launcher. My question is, there a place that shortcuts are saved even though the home launcher isn't installed? If so where is that directory so I can remove the dupe shortcuts?

Dec 21, 2013Android Central file attachment system. It said files that aren't utilized will be auto deleted in an hour, but everything I ever uploaded is still there even if I remove it them a post. Including an image I uploaded that gave me a warning in the process.
I just uploaded files with the same name twice and it's very confusing differentiating between them. The only thing I can do right now is move the unwanted files into a folder. It let me delete that folder, but it said the files within will return to the home folder.
I'm using Chromium btw.

Oct 18, 2010I have an HTC Desire and have set up multiple email accounts on it with no trouble. The system works great. The only problem I find with work email accounts (non-gmail or hotmail) is that when I send an email it saves to the sent items folder on the phone but when I go to Outlook and go to the sent items folder there it does not show the sent item. But other than that there are no issues with sending or receiving. I am using 1and1 IMAP for these emails that are having trouble. Has anyone else found a solution to this without downloading an app. I am very used to the system already in Android 2.1.

Jun 7, 2010I searched but couldn't find this problem. I use the Google Sync software on my PC to sync Outlook 2003 to my Google Account. I use the 2 way sync option.
When I create an appt. on my Inc. it shows up in my Gmail calendar fine but when the gmail calendar syncs to outlook that appt does not show up in the outlook calendar but goes directly to my "deleted items" folder and shows an appt date of 12/31/1997 no matter what date it is scheduled for.
Appts made from outlook synced to Google work fine and vise versa. Only appts made on my phone have this issue. I hope this makes sense and any help would be appreciated since I love the fact I never have to connect my phone to my PC.
