Remove removed items from downloads folder....I downloaded an app from the market, installed it, removed it . Its still showing up in downloads section of market. anyone know how to remove it from downloads?

Had no problem getting my phone to play nice with our exchange server at work and emails are coming/going fine.
However, there are some configuration items I have a big issue with as it relates to the 'look' of the email (coming from a BlackBerry).
1. Is there any way to have a single folder show my received items and sent items combined? My BB had this and it was very useful.
2. How can I edit the way my folders are displayed at the top horizontal bar? The sidescrolling folder display is awkward, it puts my inbox first (good) but then all subsequent folders are listed alphabetically; it pays no attention to their order on my desktop and also shows sub-folders of other files. Any way to change this?
3. Is there a way to change the way emails show as unread? The difference b/n read and unread is only a shade of grey, and difficult to see outside.
I searched but couldn't find this problem. I use the Google Sync software on my PC to sync Outlook 2003 to my Google Account. I use the 2 way sync option.
When I create an appt. on my Inc. it shows up in my Gmail calendar fine but when the gmail calendar syncs to outlook that appt does not show up in the outlook calendar but goes directly to my "deleted items" folder and shows an appt date of 12/31/1997 no matter what date it is scheduled for.
Appts made from outlook synced to Google work fine and vise versa. Only appts made on my phone have this issue. I hope this makes sense and any help would be appreciated since I love the fact I never have to connect my phone to my PC.
I don't use peep or facebook or regular mail or about 5 other things on this menu. Any way to trim this down so it only has the few methods of sharing I plan on using?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having a problem with Android ListView. I'm trying to delete the selected item from ListView. The delete method is working and will allow me to delete as many items from my list as needed, but whenever I scroll to the bottom of the list (after atleast 1 item has been deleted) I get an Error that closes the Application.

Just got my verizon Incredible. It came with some applicaitons on the home screen (Peep) that I want to delete. When I do a long hold on it and drag it to the Garbage can it does not delete from the home screen. After trying it again, I must have accidentally dropped into a folder that was created on my home page to hold documents of mine. So ...
1) how do I get peep hopefully off my system, but at least off my home screen
2) how do I edit the FOLDER on my home screen to remove peep?
I accidentally (sure!) removed all permissions on a folder in / so now the system can't even read it to display it in root explorer. I've searched pretty hard and tried chmod and a couple other ideas in the terminal but nothing so far has worked.

I selected Downloads from the app drawer, looked at them then tried to delete them. I can't find any option to delete. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Desire and have set up multiple email accounts on it with no trouble. The system works great. The only problem I find with work email accounts (non-gmail or hotmail) is that when I send an email it saves to the sent items folder on the phone but when I go to Outlook and go to the sent items folder there it does not show the sent item. But other than that there are no issues with sending or receiving. I am using 1and1 IMAP for these emails that are having trouble. Has anyone else found a solution to this without downloading an app. I am very used to the system already in Android 2.1.

But now I want to keep the list of items dynamic, i.e. I want to be able to add/remove items from the selection list at runtime. However, when I call adapter.add(item) or adapter.remove(item) I always get a UnsupportedOperationException, even though the Javadocs of the ArrayAdapter class describe these two methods as to be usable for exactly that intended purpose.

I am brand new to the Android world (replaced my lost iPhone4 with the sexy looking Captivate), and was wondering how to remove items from the default dock on the home screen. I use Gmail instead of the Mail app, so I would like to remove the Mail app and put Gmail there instead. View 5 Replies View RelatedSo my gallery has the typical folders in it such as Camera shots and I am familiar with the option to turn on "Default Folders' such as My Favorites, All Photos, All Videos and All downloads. I also have a couple folders that I created and uploaded to the root directory of the SD card to be recognized and displayed by the Gallery. For SOME REASON I have two OTHER folders that are found in my SD card that are also ANNOYINGLY showing up in my gallery. One is called "icons" with about 91 little...you guessed it, ICONS...and is associated with the Maps and My Maps app on my SD card in the path .../sdcard/maps/mymaps/icons/...
The other folder that showed up is "tmp" associated with the FreeTube app in the path .../sdcard/FreeTube/tmp/... First WHY are these folders randomly and "without my asking" showing up in my Gallery app? Secondly, PLEASE tell me there is a way to get rid of them. I'm a bit annoyed that they are listed in folders in my Gallery App but the MUCH BIGGER ANNOYANCE is their inclusion in my slideshows...I see 91 stupid little map icons in my slideshows and screensavers!

I went back through the svn logs as someone reminded me that this had happened before - sure enough, one two separate occasions developers had attempted to remove the bin folder and instead the src folder completely disappeared. Any idea what the heck could be going on? This is an Android project that's under version control.
