Not sure if it's Droid specific, but is there a way of moving items within a folder? I created a folder for my speed dials and want to rearrange the order of the individual icons. Is there any way of doing that?

Had no problem getting my phone to play nice with our exchange server at work and emails are coming/going fine.
However, there are some configuration items I have a big issue with as it relates to the 'look' of the email (coming from a BlackBerry).
1. Is there any way to have a single folder show my received items and sent items combined? My BB had this and it was very useful.
2. How can I edit the way my folders are displayed at the top horizontal bar? The sidescrolling folder display is awkward, it puts my inbox first (good) but then all subsequent folders are listed alphabetically; it pays no attention to their order on my desktop and also shows sub-folders of other files. Any way to change this?
3. Is there a way to change the way emails show as unread? The difference b/n read and unread is only a shade of grey, and difficult to see outside.
Has anyone figured out how to move a mail from the inbox to another folder.

I want that every time the possitions got updated then they get repainted on the map without having to move or zoom it with my finger
Invalidate is not the answer, because it makes a full repaint of all and needs to redownload the map from internet...

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Desire and have set up multiple email accounts on it with no trouble. The system works great. The only problem I find with work email accounts (non-gmail or hotmail) is that when I send an email it saves to the sent items folder on the phone but when I go to Outlook and go to the sent items folder there it does not show the sent item. But other than that there are no issues with sending or receiving. I am using 1and1 IMAP for these emails that are having trouble. Has anyone else found a solution to this without downloading an app. I am very used to the system already in Android 2.1.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI searched but couldn't find this problem. I use the Google Sync software on my PC to sync Outlook 2003 to my Google Account. I use the 2 way sync option.
When I create an appt. on my Inc. it shows up in my Gmail calendar fine but when the gmail calendar syncs to outlook that appt does not show up in the outlook calendar but goes directly to my "deleted items" folder and shows an appt date of 12/31/1997 no matter what date it is scheduled for.
Appts made from outlook synced to Google work fine and vise versa. Only appts made on my phone have this issue. I hope this makes sense and any help would be appreciated since I love the fact I never have to connect my phone to my PC.
Is there a way to move pictures from one folder to another in the Gallery? Or do I need a file manager.

I usually need to wait to get to my computer to do this. Is there a better way so I can do this from my Inc? I have both yahoo and gmail coming to my Inc. View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, which has a folder in the app drawer. I want to move the apps in that folder OUT of there, and just put them back into the overall app drawer.
But I just can't even begin to figure it out -- all I can do is move the apps to a home screen, but they'll remain in that app drawer folder.
SO basically, I'm using the "Online Nandroid Backup" app to create a nandroid to prepare for the upcoming 4.4 update and the whole root/unroot process. I want to know if I can move the backup folder from my phone to my PC (due to the complete erase that'll happen eventually), and then move it back. Will my phone recognize the backup as long as I use the same app to restore and have TWRP installed?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to move a set of images currently in the resources/drawable-hdpi folder to the Assets folder.
These images are copied to the private application directory when the app is installed.
When I do this the resulting image is smaller than when I had the image in the resources folder. i.e. the baked beans image is smaller than the others. If I load the baked beans images from the drawables folder it is the same size as the other product images.
I have tried to scale the image but it has no effect.

Is there a Rom that has bare items in it? I'm talking about just the basic basic essentials that makes the stock rom look like a joke. Something that doesn't contain ringtones, music files, just the bare items to keep the rom going: basic phone, basic texting, etc. and no added items like facebook, twitter, etc. No added scripts, features. If none like this exists, then does anyone know what is safe to remove from a stock rom and what needs to stay? I'm looking into making my own personal rom (and maybe one I can share with you all) that I can play with as far as adding and removing items while maintaining max storage space on the phone itself.

However when I view "all articles" unread or not it lists everything it has pulled down. There are currently 500+ items in the "all articles" and I cant seem to delete. how to remove items i have read already or at least if they will be truncated somehow.

What i'm wondering is if that's the best way to move movies over? It looks great but the sound seems to be a second behind the video which I wasn't sure is because of the way I transferred it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just want some input on what i should do. i realize this is the droid forum so im probably going to get some biased answers from people, but i am looking for some good feedback. basically, im tired of going back and forth between trying to decide if i should keep the eris or go to the droid (or wait for something better). the factors i am looking for in the phone are the following:
-fast system that can compete with today's best smartphones
-longevity of the phone (meaning once i get on the 2-year, i won't regret it because something far outdoes this phone)
-best internet experience possible
-"bring it all with you" design, meaning, i want it to be an all-in-one unit that can do basically anything on the go.
-i do not want a budget phone, i want power to do things.
what can you guys say about these factors compared to the eris? im especially interested in the longevity for i do not want to be outdone by some new smartphone so quickly with a 2-year contract. is the moto droid going be around for awhile? on a final note--design. i chose the eris because when i went to verizon i saw it and it looked so much more slick. and its a beauty.....
So I finally DL'ed the root explorer app just so I could move the su file and update to 2.2. Well after I longpressed the su file and selected move, I went back to /system/xbin to paste it. I selected paste and it told me that I "Cannot paste here because the file system is read only." What? Is no one else having this issue?
