Nov 25, 2010I want to find a good topic or webpage where I can download icons (for HD screens). I need glass like transparent icons for my apps, similiar to the style LauncherPro Plus uses.

Apr 29, 2010So I just unlocked my desire (allowing me to use the new phone on o2 for the last few days of my contract) but 2 new icons have appears in the top left corner.
The first is a "general alert" according to the user guide, a trianle with an "!" along the horizontal line.
The 2nd is a circle, within a shape I can only describe as a tear drop, with an "!" to the right of it. I cant find this one in the user guide.
Can anyone explain what these mean?

May 18, 2010does anybody know if there is a way to remove/delete icon from the menu (not home screen). I dont use them all and would like to remove some. Also is there a way to rearrange them?

Jun 20, 2010Right i dont want to hijack the 'show us your screens' thread so thought i'd start this one.I am really keen to pimp up my phone and keep changing it like most of you,but the one thing i am unsure about is changing my icons.My main screen has handcent,people,facebook,market etc and i would really like to change the stock icons but am not sure how.What apps do i need etc and then how do i do it?.Some of the screens in that thread look cool and i want.

Jun 20, 2010I was backing up all the apps using astro to sd then deleted some off the phone to increase the internal memory. In the process I deleted google maps then I lost the navigation icon so I can't find it back. Is there any way to get it back? I can't even access the navigation app from anywhere not even the market. It's the one with the blue arrow.

Jun 10, 2010I'm new to Andriod and in a place with poor WiFi and poor cell coverage but was able to download my first program yesterday "Olive Tree" and it works.
I don't understand all the icons on the power strip I put on my home page:
From left to right:
WiFi, Bluetooth, X.Y, Screen Brightness
Can some one explain X and Y?
Screen is set to medium.
I turn WiFi and Bluetooth on and off as needed. Is that good power mangegment?
At a conference so don't get to play much most of the day.
Also using the built in weather widget, not much connectivity sometimes it works, sometimes not.
HTC Desire :: Change Icons - Do I Need To Root?
Jun 24, 2010Having now got used to Android I'm wanting to mess about with my Desire and get it looking really personal.
A lot of people on here completely re design their folder icons using the icon packs. However, can you do this without having to root your phone?
I just don't want to be rooting my phone and would love to make it even more personal.
HTC Desire : Android Icons Not Saving / How Can I?
Jul 14, 2010Rather than spam the 'homescreen' thread I thought I'd post this in a new one. Just installed the Android icons as seen in the HS thread, and have changed them with Folderexplorer no problems, except for the 'messages' one, it pops up as the android and then changes back to the original one after a second or two Have changed the apps/camera/e-mail ones fine and they stay like that. Anyone else had this, almost like the system doesn't want you to overwrite the original?

Jul 29, 2010Not having much luck with this.For some reason the icons on my home screen are stupidly small.How do I get them to a more legible size?Their dimensions are currently 256x256, which I only just noticed but they come out smaller than 48x48 on the home screen.

Aug 21, 2010Firstly, I love this app! Finally got my Desire looking awesome! One slight problem though, I'm running Defrost 2.9a with Launcher Pro, and have changed the dock icons to custom ones. However, every so often, two of these custom icons revert back to the original ones for no reason?! Anybody had anything similar. I would definitely pay for the Pro version of this app, if I knew that would fix the issue...

Sep 7, 2010I've been having fun customizing the look of my phone and getting more and more out of it. Recently I've been making custom shortcuts as I like having different icons. What I don't like is that there's a label on the Icon. The icon pack I am currently using is Manups Simple Word. What happens is when I create a Shortcut to the market for example the Icon shows in text Market Stock and then beneath it the Label Market. I don't like that if read together it becomes Market Stock Market
Is there a way I can remove the labels from shortcuts? I am currently running Froyo with LauncherPro using folder organizer and I also have anycut. The solution must not involve rooting or using any paid apps as well I can't get paid apps here. I read here Is it possible to strip HTC Sense UI from the HTC Desire? that Helix has the option to remove labels from shortcuts. I'll rather not move to Helix and stay with launcherpro.
HTC Desire :: Making Icons (PNG Files) Available From SD Card
Sep 7, 2010I've added some icons (png) files to a folder on the SD Card. They are visible in EStrong, but not to other applications. They only become available when I power on/off. Is there a way to make the available? As I am toying with many icon sets and generally playing, it's annoying having to reset the phone everytime to see anything.

Jun 30, 2010I have tried using Better Cut and Folder Organiser in order to change the icons on my HTC Desire. However, when I try and do this for Messaging, Email or People application, it always reverts back to the standard HTC icon.

Sep 7, 2010Ok, just trying to set up the screens on my new desire and just put a direct ring and direct text widget on it, however i can't seem to change the name/icon of either.
As they both of them look the same i want to change them into "ringname" and "txtname" but can't seem to figure out how. And is it possible to change the widget picture as well ?
HTC Desire :: Icons On The Bottom Row Of Home Screen Are Out Of Alignment
Nov 16, 2010Not sure where the issue lies, with Android itself or launcher pro, but I have a strange issue where the icons on the bottom row of my home screen are out of alignment.
The two on the left, SMS and Mail, are widget icons for counters and the two on the right are direct app launchers, but yesterday they stared to show out of alignment.
