In gmail (when on the computer) there is a labs feature that allows you to undo sending an email because it delays sending for 10 seconds. Is there something similar for emails and texts that works on the Droid phone? I have accidentally hit send on the touch screen a few times when I'm not done typing.

So I've never used Gmail before and I'm playing around with it. I've sent two emails and both have been sitting in my outbox for over 5 minutes. Is there normally this long of a delay in sending email with the Gmail app and is there a way to change it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Receiver for BOOT_COMPLETED intent and it will start a Service by calling startService with an intent and the Service processes that intent in onStartCommand function by spawning a thread that does a HTTP post to a server.On powerup, sometimes it takes 3 to 5 seconds to get the active data connection on phone, when this happens Service fails to do HTTP post as there is no data connection. Is it possible for the Receiver to send the intent to Service using startService with a delay.? so that when onStartCommand of Service is called data connection is ready to post data.

The fixes I have found say to clear the cache under applications, but I can't find google mail or google mail storage under applications. I cant find where to reinstall gmail app from either. I am running Cyanogen 5.0.7 stable.

1. He is on my Facebook contact. (His facebook pic appears in my Desire contact list)
2. He is my Gmail contact as well.
3. He is added as a 'Phone Contact' as well.
I sent him a text few days ago but don't remember if it was using facebook or my phone (network provider sms) but now when I go in to 'Messages' and send him a message, I just can't figure out if I am sending him a message via Facebook or to his mobile number.
I was wondering, has anyone figured out how you can send emails via different addresses from the gmail app? I can send from 5 different ones from gmail's web interface, but can only get the app to use the default.

Emails received in that account go to GMail and I can send an email from GMail but put the "from" email address as my school email). I can't figure out how to do this on my Droid though.

1. Regarding font size. I realize there is no current setting for font size on this phone (that I know of) does anyone here know if the upcoming 2.1 update will include that?
2. I know there is a text size option for the browser. However, it doesent seem to work on most websites I go to (like CNN for example) I try setting it at different sizes and nada. So far my browsing experience hasent been that good because of this (having to constantly strain my eyes looking at website text) Any tips on why the text size option doesent seem to work?

And that works ok. On my G1 running 1.5, I get a verify error, guessing because SmsManager is not available in 1.5. Maybe for 1.5 we need to use the deprecated class?:

With the default Android's e-mail client, how could I send messages in plain text? I have not found any such option.

The coding for text msg is done in another activity i.e the second activity.I m successfully able to select the desired item from the Spinner but am not able to pass it as text message. to select the item from first activity. I've seen some older queries on the web asking how to do this but have not been able to find a definitive answer.
Is it possible to use an Intent.ACTION_SEND (or some other method) to send an email pre-set with an html-formatted message body?
