It's only a little niggle but I sort my browser bookmarks alphabetically but most of the time when I go back in they've gone back to being sorted by newest.
This happens without adding any new bookmarks!
Anyone else get this and find a solution?

I've got my Internet bookmarks sorted alphabetically, but can't work out how to do the same with the Bookmarks widget?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway of changing the order of the bookmarks? I know you can in Dolphin, but as I added the paged I most visit first, they're now at the bottom of the bookmark list, and I'm sick of having to scroll through them all to get to the main sites I like.

When I'm on a webpage and go to menu - bookmarks and then choose sort by most visited they always reset to the order i bookmarked them, newest first next time I go online.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Hero in January of this year, and until now, have had my pictures from my old phone in a separate folder from the photos taken on the Hero. I decided that I'd like them all combined to better organize my SD Card. I figured that if they were all renamed sequentially, the Photos app would sort them by name. (IMAG0001.jpg, IMAG0002.jpg, etc...) I used Automator on the Mac to run a workflow that sorted all my pictures by creation date, and renamed them in the sequential format stated previous. This is the format that the new photos taken on the Hero had. Once I re-opened the Photos app, all of my pictures were sorted funny. I'm quite upset about this.
I proceeded to modify creation and modification dates on the files, and still had the same sort order.
Does anyone know how the photos are sorted? How can I modify the sort order? How can I manipulate my photos so they'll sort properly?
I am using the bookmarks widget, list view. I like it but would like to change the order the bookmarks appear. I did not any options for doing so. Is there a way to do this?

My question is simple really, and I'm sure Ive read a solution somewhere before, but here goes... On the bookmarks swipe gesture, which brings up your bookmarks, how do I make my Dolphin HD bookmarks show, instead of the generic browsers??? In other words, can I import bookmarks from Dolphin to the LPP bookmarks?

I want to use the 16gb sd card from my E71 in my Desire but what do I have to do to keep from losing info, and app info that's already on my Desire sd card? Is there a program that backs it up completely? I've heard that some people have switched just by copying onto PC and then back onto the new card, but have had problems with application data etc. Also, is the 16gb card going to run really slowly? Slowed down my E71 a bit but I'm assuming the Desire could cope much better?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my desire for about 3 weeks now on O2 contract, and have an annoying problem.I appear to lose signal intermittantly, and end up with a little grey 'x' by my bars. However, this then STAYS like this even when I am back in a normal area, sometimes for hours before I have even noticed that reception was lost.The only way that I have found to get reception back is to power off my phone and restart it.I have called o2, and the only advise they had for me was to remove the sim card and 'give it a little wipe',
View 6 Replies View RelatedSometimes when I turn on the screen there's a notice saying that backing up to SD had failed, so I try to look at the contents of the card and I can't see any of my files. Sometimes I notice it when I try to take a picture and it'll say that it doesn't have the required access. Other times, I've just wanted to access something on the card and noticed it had happened. Now, this sounds like it happens all the time, but it's only a couple of times a week, but quite annoying nonetheless.
The only solution I have found is to turn off the phone, and then turn it back on again. I have tried with the programs SDRemount and SDRescan, but neither have any effect. Is it an issue with the SD card that would go away if I got a new one? I have searched for this topic several times in here, without finding it, but I think something goes wrong in the search process (even if I just search for SD, nothing is found, and I'm quite sure SD has been mentioned a couple of times in here.
Unbranded, fully updated (2.1-update1), Desire. Three months old. No task killers installed. Just this past couple of days I've noticed it has not been showing the data connection symbol in the top bar, next to the signal strength bars. Try and connect to the internet or the market and get a 'failed' pop up window asking to either retry of cancel. Retry never works.
I go into settings > Wireless & Networks and disable Mobile Network, then enable it again and it flickers on then goes off again. Repeat this and it stays on for a while but always goes off again after about 20 minutes even though the Mobile Network is ticked green. Why is this happening? I'm missing emails because of this and it's a bit of a pain.
A few days ago my Desire flashed up a warning that in future I should unmount my SD card correctly to avoid losing date. I hadn't touched it or even connected the phone to the PC.
Two days later and I wake up to find my phone has gone flat overnight and turned off, when I turned it back on it warned me that my SD card is blank and displays a permanent SD card symbol with question mark at the top of the screen.
Apart from my photos/music/video clips etc, what else should be on the card? I've noticed voice navigation doesn't work any more, the turn-by-turn just chimes at me to tell me a junction is coming up, also I've lost all my bookmark screenshots. I'm guessing there is a load of software on there such as HTC Sync?
I was hoping to use one of the free data recovery programs to see if I can recover my stuff...but tried a Sandisk demo one and it said it couldn't find any files to recover.
Only other possibility is I have 'wavesecure' installed, but once I realised you had to pay for it I left it alone. Only the backup facility is available on the demo mode, will it have done this automatically meaning I could pay for the app and be able to restore the data, or do you have to instigate the backup manually?

is there a way to sort my SMS messages into folders? i have looked but cannot seem to do it.
even my old samsung flip phone had this option. it's just useful to be able to put messages i want to keep into a separate folder rather than having to keep it in my inbox and lock it.
Does anyone use Juice defender? I downloaded it the other day and first thought it was great, certainly improved my battery life, but after a while i noticed that i kept losing my data connection even with the screen switched on, and also as soon as i finish a phone call, i loose my data connection and it takes ages for it to reconnect! anyone else had experience of this, or does anyone know of a similar app i could try?

I try turning it off and on but that makes no difference, I have to turn the phone off completely in order for it to come back. Quite often after I do this I have a text message appear (usually says it is a few days old) from 'Anonymous'. The messages are blank.
Any ideas what is causing this or how to fix it?
In win for mobile is it possible to sort your contacts by company name in the same way as in Outlook. I use HTC Desire in my work and I have 1200 contacts. It is impossible to remember all names, but I remember the company name. It would be a nice feature in Android.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDo a lot of downloading of mixes etc on my phone and find that a lot of the time if I leave it the download fails. If I sit there and touch the screen now and again to stop it switching off then it works every time. Its over wifi btw.

So my phone suddenly stopped vibrating... it just stopped. No haptic feedback, no nothing. I checked all settings and it was all turned on, but still nothing.
I reset and noticed that there was no vibrate on start up. Once booted, still not vibrate - but then suddenly it all came back. I'm so confused.
My system was starting to get a little bit laggy (especially messages app), so I deleted all of my messages and a load of apps I no longer use. As well as my phone speeding up by leaps and bounds, my battery is getting about 3 hours additional life (minimum). Before, 15 minutes after taking my phone off charge it had lost a bar, but now.. I took my phone off charge at 7:15am and listened to music for 40 minutes on the way to work.. it's now 10:19am and I still haven't lost a bar!

I have done a search on this site and a few others in the hope of finding out a problem I have with SWYPE on my DHD.
I have auto spacing selected but when typing a sms using SWYPE, no spaces are automatically placed in between words. However when I use the SWYPE keyboard for entering in a calendar entry, spaces are automatically defaulted between words.
The version i am using is 2.4.44.10912 (has English language) and there appears to be a red circle on the space button for the message SWYPE keyboard but the red circle is not present on keyboard when I am entering in a calendar item.
I have uninstalled SWYPE and re-installed, but the issue is still present. Any ideas?
All i'm on Orange and i was wondering how do you get the bookmarks page to show up/use.
