Yesterday an application crashed on my phone and made it behave weirdly. Now, every time I type a text it makes little sounds, from a typewritter. That is really annoying, how do I turn that off? I can not find the settings anywhere.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to set up custom notification sounds for the various apps (email, message, FB, etc.). I would prefer that instead of using the various cute sound effects that come with the phone, I want to have a voice that says, "new email" or "new message" instead of the various beeps and chimes. Ideally, I would like to use the text to speech engine that comes with the phone to do this like what the Navigation app. How can I set up the notifications to activate the text to speech engine to say a certain phrase? If that is not possible, how can I activate the text to speech engine to say a phrase and then save the output to a sound file which I can then select as the notification for those various apps?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy "beloved" Epic was working perfectly last night but this morning as it sits here, it is making a low clicking noise (about every 3-5 seconds). Almost sounds like electrical something. Nothing has happened to the phone (no water, dropped or anything).
Has anyone experienced this with their phone? I only got it less than 2 weeks ago too. The phone is perfect so far (obviously room for improvements with 2.2 but I am actually quite happy as is). I am so hesitant to even have to replace it because my battery life has been amazing! I feel like a got very lucky with this one. I still have tons of juice left by the time I go to bed at night (which is when I recharge it.)
This is driving me nuts! Ive had my phone for a week and all of a sudden today it makes the worst clicking sounds when I type anything. It literally sounds like a typewriter.
I have Settings>Sound & Display>Audible selection "unchecked" and I still get this.
Can anyone help me figure out how to turn this off?
Ok I found it and boy did I have to do some digging. settings>applications>running services>android keyboard>Sound on Keypress = Uncheck.
If i click on a button on one layout it should add text view in another layout dynamically again if i click that button same procedure should get repeat.

3. I want the keyboard to show up (without the need of clicking inside the edit text).

When the user click the editText Field I need to show spinner(dynamic) from that user select any of the item i need to set the Text for Edit text .How to do this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedDuring playback of music, video if I turn the volume right down there is a clicking noise. Tried different tracks and a couple of different players. It can also be heard between tracks. is this normal? You can't hear it when u turn the volume up though.

Prior to the update, I had different tones for my texts, and email accounts. Since the update, seems I can only choose one option under notifications.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just flashed Nonsensikal v13.7 last night and since I am not getting any text message notification sounds. If I happen to get a notification sound, it is the default notification sound I set for my emails, et cetera. I use Handcent and have from the beginning. I set, reset, and reset my Handcent notification sound to be "pixie dust" but like I said, I'm not getting any notification sounds for my texts. Is anyone else having this issue on Nonsensikal? I didn't have this issue with version 12.5. Any advice, tips, or suggestions would be helpful.

I want to have a different notification sound for when I receive an e-mail from a certain person in my contact list. All my email plays the normal GMAIL notification sound. I need this person's incoming messages to play a different special sound.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason when someone text messages me it plays no sounds. Just started it today. I checked all volume settings and everything is on. Even selected a new ringtone still no go. It plays sounds so its not the speaker. Any way to fix this?
Also I fixed my numbers not coming up in my gmail contacts sync last night. Now the phone wont recognize my gmail contacts. I made sure all sync settings were turned on. Anyone know how to fix this. Search the forums and went to manage applications and cleared all google apps still no go.

I'm trying to set custom text sounds with Ringdroid, but I'm having an issue. When I create the file, it shows up if I want to set it as the default for all text messages. However, when I go to choose it for a specific contact, the file doesn't show up.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI absolutely cannot get text message notification sounds to work. At all. It stays on the stock sound. I can change it to any of the preloaded stock sounds and click ok but when I get a text it still plays the stock sound. I also tried using custom and that didnt work either. I have searched and searched and found nothing. And I am using the proper folder structure on the sd card for the customs. Does anyone have any ideas at all? Im getting very frustrated.

On the iPhone, there was an option to select different text notification sounds for different contacts. Bob has sound A, Carol has sound B, etc. I haven't found that option in the S3. Do I need to create Groups and then assign the Group a specific sound for text messages? With over 1200 contacts, I would like to choose one text sound for friends, another for clients, etc.

I have tones already picked out and saved to my Gmail account. I thought I would be able to set them from there, but it turns out that's not possible. My ringtone works as my new one. My notification sound plays my preference (Clapton's Layla) when I have an email and such, however, when I get a text message, it still plays the default sound. Is there somewhere you change this other than notification sounds?

1. How do I delete ALL text messages from ALL contacts?
2. How do I un-grey the notification sound options?
