Apr 25, 2010Ive just downloaded the Barcode scanner App from the market and when i use the Barcode Scanner my phones starts making clicking sounds, Is his normal with this app?

HTC EVO 4G :: Clicking Sound At Boot
Oct 14, 2010This may not be important at all but I did think this was a bit strange. After I rooted, I noticed a clicking type of sound coming from the camera whenever I booted the phone. Its kind of alarming but not sure if I am the only one.

Jun 10, 2010Whenever I take a picture in Google Goggles, i hear 2 clicking sounds coming from the phone. The first sounds comes when the capture button is pressed, and the second sound comes as soon as the picture is taken. I don't hear these noises when taking pictures through the regular camera app. It sounds like it's coming from inside the phone.

Dec 1, 2010My "beloved" Epic was working perfectly last night but this morning as it sits here, it is making a low clicking noise (about every 3-5 seconds). Almost sounds like electrical something. Nothing has happened to the phone (no water, dropped or anything).
Has anyone experienced this with their phone? I only got it less than 2 weeks ago too. The phone is perfect so far (obviously room for improvements with 2.2 but I am actually quite happy as is). I am so hesitant to even have to replace it because my battery life has been amazing! I feel like a got very lucky with this one. I still have tons of juice left by the time I go to bed at night (which is when I recharge it.)

Dec 21, 2009So I just picked up my Eris yesterday. For the most part it is working great right now but a couple things are a little annoying.
First, pinch zoom isn't working in the Google Maps app. Should it? Works great in the browser when surfing the web but not in maps for some reason.
Second, it clicks at me. For example, I'll hit the red power/call end button when I'm done using it to turn off the display. Then I'll set it down on the table or something and it makes these little intermittent click sounds just sitting there. After 5 minutes or so it stops. It isn't constant, just a couple clicks ever 10-30 seconds for a little bit then stops.
HTC Incredible :: Barcode Scanning App Unable To Focus On Barcode
Apr 29, 2010Just got my droid incredible tonight and when trying to use the barcode scanner app it keeps trying to focus and just as it is about to lock in on the bar code, it goes out of focus and back in focus again... and repeats over and over.I tried cleaning the glass but it is pretty darn clean. Anyone else having this issue? Any thoughts?

Oct 31, 2010Thought I was clever enough to try to root my Desire but fell at the very first hurdle and now seem to have some problems. I tried to format the sd card after backing up my apps (not everything else). Wasn't sure at first if this worked which I still have my doubts. However I did lose all my video and photos which I am not overly bothered about but have lost several important apps and now when I try to download them again from market the download just stops unacceptably and nothing happens. Can't get barcode scanner and many others despite leaving it downloading overnight.

Oct 26, 2010During playback of music, video if I turn the volume right down there is a clicking noise. Tried different tracks and a couple of different players. It can also be heard between tracks. is this normal? You can't hear it when u turn the volume up though.

May 29, 2010Yesterday an application crashed on my phone and made it behave weirdly. Now, every time I type a text it makes little sounds, from a typewritter. That is really annoying, how do I turn that off? I can not find the settings anywhere.

I have a Nokia ck-7w handsfree kit in my car, i can pair my desire with it and all seems ok until i try to make or receive a call. Oct 25, 2010I purchased 2 HTC desire phones and whilst I am happy with them it appears there may be a bug as both phones seem to do it. Occasionally when a text message is received for some reason the notification sound doesnt go off. I know this for sure as I have had the phone right next to me waiting on a message thinking I didnt get it only to discover later it was actually delivered but no sound.Is this a known issue and if so is there a fix for it.

Apr 28, 2010I've seen a thread which covers this topic - but I've started a new one, as the question is slightly different.I've just downloaded the Act 1 video player (demo) from the Android Market to see if the sound and video are out of sync when using this media player - and they're not. The video plays perfectly. The downside is that to play more than 2 minutes, I have to buy the app - even though it's not a lot of money ($1.79), that's beside the point! I see that many people with this sync fault have reported it to HTC, but we're all waiting for a firmware update to resolve it. I think giving this app for free would resolve most people's issues!
