Prior to the update, I had different tones for my texts, and email accounts. Since the update, seems I can only choose one option under notifications.

Can you have a one tone for email notifications and a different tone for text notifications?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy SII. I updated to the stock ICS last week, and ever since the update, my text notifications and email notifications will periodically mute themselves. Screen still lights up, notification is still in the notification bar, but no sound.
I've changed the settings to ensure I have them correct several times. I did a master reset as well. Doing a hard reset will fix the issue temporarily, but it always goes back to not working.
I know how to get different sounds for text and phone, you go right to the app, but what about Ebay? There is only a place to enablenot change the ringtone. I'm looking for help or an app that'll let me do it.

1) Whenever I power my phone off for the night then plug it in to charge, it keeps turning on. Is this normal? Is there any way to stop this from happening? Will this have an impact on my battery life?
2) Is there any way to change the sounds for text message, emails, and other notifications? I am coming from a Blackberry where EVERYTHING has its own sound.
3) I've been looking through the "Most Popular App" threads and, of course, am open to your suggestions. Is there anywhere online where I can easily look at all of the available apps/programs?

Right now, the only way I can figure out to avoid it is to delete my email account from my phone. Most of my email is garbage so I don't need to hear a sound everytime a spam mail comes through. Also if I wind up deleting my AOL account from the phone, how do I do it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had this happen to me twice now over the past week. It seems that periodically my notification sounds will stop. I will see that I have new emails but never heard the sound. I will then go send myself a test text message and it will vibrate but make no sound. I've made sure all my volumes are up, and even went in to pick a notification sound and it will work fine in the sound chooser when I pick it.
I also noticed both times that it did this if I go in to Spare Parts or Battery History and look my phone is staying awake and Android Usage is the one with the partial wake lock. Generally I don't have any sleep issues, it only happens when my notification sounds have also quit working. The only way to fix it is power off and back on and then all is good again.
Can u receive emails notifications that pertain to a text message u just recently received? Whether its sms, or mms? Some people would wonder why I would want an email for all my text message. Received but I have my reasons for asking. Has anyone attempted to do this? If so, How?

I have tried different profile applications but it looks like they just generically turn off "notifications" which looks like both email and SMS notifications. I know I can go in and manually silence the email and the other notifications each time but I wanted to find an easier way. I get important SMS messages from work at all hours but thats all I want to hear.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen the INC is sleeping I can feel the vibrate or hear the notification sound, however, it won't wake up or let me know that I have something waiting for me just by glancing at it from a distance if it's sleeping. This isn't an issue if I am in a quiet environment, but otherwise it is. I have checked all the settings and there doesn't seem to be a way to make this happen.

Is there an app that would allow me to program different sounds for each different notification? For example I want a new email to have one sound, while a new sms to have another, and for the locale updater to be on silent/vibrate.

I only get my email to show up on my inbox on my phone ONLY when i open email. I currently have it set to to check email every 5 minutes but this is obviously not happening. and i dont get a blinking LED when i get a SMS, Text message.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI noticed this morning that my alarm didn't make a sound when it went off this morning. Fortunately it was set to vibrate and I heard that. I than noticed it didn't ring when I received a call. I had my GF send me a txt and no sound with that either. When I go into setting to change my ringtone none of them play. The volume button beeps when I hit it and I other apps that play sounds are working fine.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI am a new owner of the HTC Hero and I tried to customize the ring tones and alarm sounds by using the directions provided by leaky on the tread "HTC Hero: Tips, Tricks & Useful Apps" but unfortunately this did not work out for my Hero. My SD card appeared as DCIM and I had to rename it to SD card and then on the MEDIA folder I added an AUDIO folder in which I added three separate files. One named ring tones, one named alarms and on named notifications as directions provided by thread. Then I added the appropriate .mp3 files to each folder while having the Hero plugged in with my PC.
