I use my phone for a work alarm and have it set to repeat during the week, I had to work at a different office yesterday so set a new alarm, this failed to go off, I thought it was just that I set it wrong but this morning my regular alarm failed to go off too.I've checked the volume controls and everything is set to high volume, I can't see anything that would stop it from going off?

On my HTC droid, my alarm clock stopped working. It will light up and vibrate, but it won't play any sound. I have tried having the phone at full volume, adjusting everything, and I can't get it to work. Has anyone had this problem?? Any solutions?
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy alarm was working fine now the notification is no longer sounding. All other sounds, sms gmail email etc are ok. If you try and change the sound to a stock sound they don't sound either (so I don't think its to do with the SD card). Any ideas?
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy notification and alarm sound has stopped working however when I go to play music off my phone it still works.
I have gone into the Volume section under Sound and tried to mess with the volume levels. When I turn the alarm level up to the highest it can go, instead of playing my alarm sound it plays a very faint beeping noise. When I turn up my notification level it makes a similar beeping noise.
I've read through the other suggested alarm threads but didn't find a solution.In my case the screen turns on but the alarm screen does not display nor does any alarm sound or vibration happen. I do not have a task manager installed and i verified via the QuickSettings app that the alarm volume is turned up. It has been many days since I had power cycled my phone.I tried setting a new alarm a few minutes from the current time and it did not activate at all same thing: no alarm screen, no sound or vibration.I power cycled my phone and setup a new alarm. This time it worked perfectly.Is Android killing the phone app at some point to free up memory? Do I need to activate the clock app before I go to bed to make sure its running? But what if it gets killed overnight--odds aren't likely as I won't be using it.

I have had my phone replaced once and the replacement phone has worked very sporadically when I set the alarm to go off for me to wake up at 6:30 AM. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? Has anybody else had a similar problem and how did you resolve it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy alarm clock does not ring when i set it. I do use TasKiller but I don't kill the clock app when I'm expecting it to ring. Its unreliable and its the only thing i absolutely hate about this phone. Is anyone else having this problem? seems like something petty to visit the VZ tech for, but i've been late to work too many times since getting my phone.

Looks like the 1st time when I activate my alarm, it worked. But it didn't for the subsequent days.Anybody has any idea what went wrong here? Is there any other alarm clock freeware that could helps?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWell, go the update in the middle of the night and now have a slight problem. I use the phone as an alarm and this morning it would not shut off. I have the side buttons set to disarm the alarm and nothing. I had to turn the phone completely off and then re-boot to get the damn alarm to shut up. Now I can't get "what do tigers dream of when they take a little tiger snooze" outta my head (ringtone from Hangover).

I've tested to see that I've entered everything correctly by setting it to go off say for example now and it goes off fine - it just seems to be if it's for a longer period of time away it won't go off.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOK let me clarify, it does work, but only if I am actively using the phone. If I set my alarm then hit the power button to turn the screen off, or even just allow the screen to timeout and turn off, then the alarm fails to go off. This is REALLY annoying as it renders the entire alarm feature completely useless.

I looked across the forum and found that the best thing to do was reset the phone. I did this and all was perfect once more until I went to go to college and was listening to music but couldn't change tracks or pause using the hands-free kit. I have no idea how to get it working again and don't know if the reset had anything to do with it stopping working. All I know is it worked perfectly the other day.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI've had my Desire for a couple of weeks now, and I love it! Have spent FAR too many evening customizing it and playing with it and even taking it along to the pub one evening and completely ignoring everyone else there because it had my undivided attention (yes, I know, very sad). Anyhow, very recently (as in, the last couple of days), MMS has stopped working. It first happened on Friday (I think) when I received one from a friend (well, I assumed it was one!) using Handcent. It showed up from the person with a Download button and when I pressed that, it changed to a Downloading which then did nothing. When I came out of and went back into Handcent, repeated those steps, and got the same outcome. I thought it was something to do with Handcent not being configured correctly for MMS - I hadn't sent or received one since installing and using Handcent - I had sent a received a couple using the default Messages app, which then subsequently were pulled through and displayed in Handcent fine. I thought nothing of it at the time, but I've just been playing with it again this afternoon and I can't get anything out of it. I've been trying in both Handcent and the default app to send a simple picture to myself, and it's not sending.
It did send once, for some reason, as I turned the phone off completely, I saw it suddenly send in the background and then low and behold when I booted it up, it was there - but even that hasn't worked this time?! In both Handcent and Messages the picture will sit there with the little spinning circle icon, doing nothing. In the "undelivered messages" section of both clients, they both report that that particular message is failing, but if I try a re-send it still just does nothing. I just can't think what has changed/why it isn't working - could it be Handcent? That's the only thing I can think (that would effect messaging) that could have caused a problem? Another thing is, although I've found the message centre number for my network (o2) in the settings for the default client, and I've found the Access Point details for O2 WAP and O2 MMS (which got downloaded automatically when I first set up the phone) I can't seem to find a way to reset them - I don't want to hit the Delete button on them if it is just left blank - is there a way of re-downloading the settings from the network? (or do I have to make a note of them and input them manually?!) I don't particularly want to have to do a factory reset for this either! It just seems as though, although the settings are there for MMS, neither application seems to be able to connection to the MMS-specific servers and whatnot!
My trackpad suddenly stopped working, I haven't dropped it or anything like that so I don't think it is a hardware problem.

As of now, if we have set two alarm of ,say, 10:10 and 10:15, now if the first alarm pops up at 10:10, and we click on snooze button(snooze time: 10 mins), then it says that the snooze will not be set since there is already an alarm in between(the 10:15th one). Here i want to both the alarm(i.e, snoozed one and 10:15th one) to be set. Any ideas???
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe first one the flashlight led stopped working in any app. It was returned. Now its replacement has another issue with the camera. I'm getting blocky colourful pixelation when the phone is on a gprs connection and I use the camera. At least that didn't happen on the first one. I'm getting seriously fed up with HTC. Will I get one that works properly? Might swap it for Samsung galaxy, but I know I'd miss sense. S there a fix for the camera bug? Updated software? It takes a perfect picture. It just looks wrong before you click the shutter.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the froyo upgrade 2 days ago and it seems to have stopped my wifi working. Its not a problem with the router as other devices work on the router. I also checked my desire on other wifi networks and there is no connection to the internet. I manually put in the ip address and the wifi icon comes up but still no link to the internet. When I use my3G mobile internet everything works so it can only be a bug with froyo upgrade.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I plugged my Desire in to the USB socket, to top up the charge, and noticed the little USB icon/logo thing that usually shows up on the top left of the Desire's screen wasn't there. I checked in the phone's settings and it is still set to ask me what to do when I plug it in. I have tried a couple of leads (including the one HTC gave me) as well as both front and back USB ports. My PC is running windows 7 and it plays the chime when I plug my phone in.
It also appears in devices/printers but when I right click the phone and choose browse files it is greyed out! I have tried uninstalling the drivers etc, restarting the PC, I even tried to plug the phone into my netbook (running Ubuntu, which used to recognize the phone) but nothing works! It is not really the end of the world but I would like to sort it. The phone charges when I plug it in the USB socket on the PC. I suddenly thought 'I haven't rebooted the phone' so I did and all works as it should now.
Have been sending a few emails no problem, then suddenly the phone is saying the account setting is incorrect. I am not aware i have made any changes and everything looks ok in the account. I can still recieve but not send .
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had the Telus Desire for just under a week now and everything about the phone was working great until yesterday when the side volume buttons just stopped working. I can't adjust the ringer volume on my home screens, or the media volume when I'm running any apps or the in call volume either. I feel like I've accidentally triggered some volume lock, but I've searched for answers and come up empty. Does anyone have any ideas as to what happened or how I can solve this? They were working just fine up until yesterday, and I don't believe I installed or changed anything since the buttons were working.

I've tried clearing the gmail cache but still the same.

Suddenly stopped working for no reason. I've changed nothing in the settings and everything in default settings aswell as Handcent settings show that the sound is being used....but when I 'Test Notification' in Handcent there is no sound.
