I have had a problem with my incredible desktop alarm not waking me at all. I have had my phone replaced once and the replacement phone has worked very sporadically when I set the alarm to go off for me to wake up at 6:30 AM. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? Has anybody else had a similar problem and how did you resolve it?

Well, go the update in the middle of the night and now have a slight problem. I use the phone as an alarm and this morning it would not shut off. I have the side buttons set to disarm the alarm and nothing. I had to turn the phone completely off and then re-boot to get the damn alarm to shut up. Now I can't get "what do tigers dream of when they take a little tiger snooze" outta my head (ringtone from Hangover).
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've read through the other suggested alarm threads but didn't find a solution.In my case the screen turns on but the alarm screen does not display nor does any alarm sound or vibration happen. I do not have a task manager installed and i verified via the QuickSettings app that the alarm volume is turned up. It has been many days since I had power cycled my phone.I tried setting a new alarm a few minutes from the current time and it did not activate at all same thing: no alarm screen, no sound or vibration.I power cycled my phone and setup a new alarm. This time it worked perfectly.Is Android killing the phone app at some point to free up memory? Do I need to activate the clock app before I go to bed to make sure its running? But what if it gets killed overnight--odds aren't likely as I won't be using it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy alarm clock does not ring when i set it. I do use TasKiller but I don't kill the clock app when I'm expecting it to ring. Its unreliable and its the only thing i absolutely hate about this phone. Is anyone else having this problem? seems like something petty to visit the VZ tech for, but i've been late to work too many times since getting my phone.

Looks like the 1st time when I activate my alarm, it worked. But it didn't for the subsequent days.Anybody has any idea what went wrong here? Is there any other alarm clock freeware that could helps?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not liking the alarm clock built into the Dinc. I hate all the alarm sounds and there does not appear to be a way to add different ones or even an MP3. What I'm really looking for is an alarm that will start off softly and build up say over 30 seconds. All the stock alarms just BLAST and freaks me and my wife out each morning. A snooze button is a must as I like to hit it a few times before I need to get up. I also need one that is very reliable as I use it as my main alarm for both home and on travel.

This has happened twice now. My alarm goes off in the morning then I get a text as I'm reaching for the phone. The text pop up (Handcent) causes the alarm to minimize or go to the background but it won't silence it. I cleared the text then tried to silence the alarm but it was closed. I opened it again, unchecked it , checked it again, and closed it and still was unable to silcence it. Had to shut my phone off to shut it up.

Is there an app or something that will turn the phone on so the alarm goes off if somehow the phone shuts down? I use my phone as my alarm every morning, and I need it to go off, even if the phone is off/battery dies during the night.

I also have a tendency to hit the snooze button quite a few times before I can get my lazy butt out of bed. I've noticed on 3 occasions now that when the alarm is going off and I try to hit snooze button or "dismiss" button and it's not available. So the alarm is going off and I'm frantically trying to find a button to shut it off. Pressing every button doesn't work so I have to finally shut the phone off. Has anyone else had this issue as well? I've tried to replicate it sitting in front of me a few minutes ago and I can't do it.On one occasion, I noticed that I got a text message when I was trying to find the "dismiss" button. NOt sure if the text message alert had something to do with it.

I am using service class to play the mp3 file using media player object on Android platform, problem is, i am not able to handle the alarm interruption.When any previous set alarm clock reach to it's alarm time it starts to play in parallel with mp3.I want that mp3 should become paused and after alarm it again start to play,same thing should happen with snooze.

As of now, if we have set two alarm of ,say, 10:10 and 10:15, now if the first alarm pops up at 10:10, and we click on snooze button(snooze time: 10 mins), then it says that the snooze will not be set since there is already an alarm in between(the 10:15th one). Here i want to both the alarm(i.e, snoozed one and 10:15th one) to be set. Any ideas???

If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??
