My default Android 1.5 alarm clock didn't work properly. I tried to scheduled an everyday and a pre-scheduled Mon-Fri alarm clock. Looks like the 1st time when I activate my alarm, it worked. But it didn't for the subsequent days.Anybody has any idea what went wrong here? Is there any other alarm clock freeware that could helps?

Well, go the update in the middle of the night and now have a slight problem. I use the phone as an alarm and this morning it would not shut off. I have the side buttons set to disarm the alarm and nothing. I had to turn the phone completely off and then re-boot to get the damn alarm to shut up. Now I can't get "what do tigers dream of when they take a little tiger snooze" outta my head (ringtone from Hangover).

View 3 Replies View RelatedI own my HTC Magic for only few days till now, but there is one problem what really makes me angry. I bought this phone mainly for having good and comfortable access to the internet. So, all websites are working good on default browser, except one - pinnaclesports.com. When I try to enter there, it says error:
The application Browser (process com.android.browser) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
And I have only 1 option to choose - Force close.
The same happens on Dolphin. Opera is working good with pinnaclesports website, but to be honest I don't like Opera, I definetely prefer default browser.
I've been trying almost everything. I did wipe and even changed interface from standard to Sense UI (which IMO is worse than normal interface) and I still get the same error.
I've noticed after I have rooted and installed the newest Fresh rom I have problems getting my alarm to shut off in the morning. It's not a huge problem, just an annoyance. I have not installed vanilla lock screen, I did search the forums which states if you use that you have to use vanilla clock. I literally have to shut off the alarm every morning by shutting down the phone. Sometimes I do get lucky and it shuts off (after about 1-2 minutes) and then I have to disable the alarm and re-enable it or it will snooze.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've read through the other suggested alarm threads but didn't find a solution.In my case the screen turns on but the alarm screen does not display nor does any alarm sound or vibration happen. I do not have a task manager installed and i verified via the QuickSettings app that the alarm volume is turned up. It has been many days since I had power cycled my phone.I tried setting a new alarm a few minutes from the current time and it did not activate at all same thing: no alarm screen, no sound or vibration.I power cycled my phone and setup a new alarm. This time it worked perfectly.Is Android killing the phone app at some point to free up memory? Do I need to activate the clock app before I go to bed to make sure its running? But what if it gets killed overnight--odds aren't likely as I won't be using it.

I have had my phone replaced once and the replacement phone has worked very sporadically when I set the alarm to go off for me to wake up at 6:30 AM. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? Has anybody else had a similar problem and how did you resolve it?

Its unreliable and its the only thing i absolutely hate about this phone. Is anyone else having this problem? seems like something petty to visit the VZ tech for, but i've been late to work too many times since getting my phone.

As of now, if we have set two alarm of ,say, 10:10 and 10:15, now if the first alarm pops up at 10:10, and we click on snooze button(snooze time: 10 mins), then it says that the snooze will not be set since there is already an alarm in between(the 10:15th one). Here i want to both the alarm(i.e, snoozed one and 10:15th one) to be set. Any ideas???

It is not executed at 23:22h. What I am doing wrong? I noticed firstTime and c.getTimeInMillis() differs a lot in size and length. When I use firstTime, so when set to 30 seconds, the alarm is executed well.
I have a HTC Magic with Rogers firmware, and am having problems with the alarm not going off in the morning. I have tried multiple approaches to try to fix it including unplugging the phone from wall, calling my voicemail and then hanging up (suggested on android support), as well as restoring to original settings. The alarm sounded on the first day I got the phone, but has never went off since. Has anyone had a similar issue?

This morning I woke up at half 8, I went to look at the time on my phone and it said 04:36, then after a couple of seconds updated to the actual time of half 8. As a result of this, my alarm set to half 6 didn't go off. I don't have any task killer apps, my phone was not turned off, or on silent.

View 43 Replies View RelatedI have gotten a new Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (android 4.4.3), but i HATE the system clock widget/app with the analog hands,and minimalist design,so i installed an apk extractor on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (android 4.0.4) to try and get the system clock app from there as i absolutly love it with its big digital numbers,and exact manual input of desired countdown timer,and apk extracted fine,but when i try and install it on my xperia i get an "app not installed" error after installation actually has happened.
Is this not possible what i am trying to do? Is the clock proprietary to each company the phone is from?
Soon to get the Magic. When you set an Alarm at night for work in the morning, then switch the Phone off, will the Alarm sound in the morning whilst the Phone is off?
