Samsung Captivate :: Phone GMail Shows No Emails / Web Gmail Shows New Emails
Aug 18, 2010So this thing just started within the past week. My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

Nov 20, 2009When I purchased my Droid, the Verizon sales rep told me about an app that would show where you have been...i.e. like if you parked your car in a large parking lot, then you could mark that location with this program and it would show you how to get back to that spot. I thought he said it was called 'Footprint', but I do not see a program like that. Do anyone know of an app that does this?

May 24, 2010Im the happy owner of a HTC Desire with android 2.1 and until lately it has been a pleasure. A few hours ago the GPs symbol in the status bar popped up and its been there since. Usually the icon disappears after I close the app which uses it but this time it just seem to have come out of nowhere (didnt use any app at the time) and it doesn't go away. It is animating so it seems like the GPS is really being used. Since I don't know which apps are using it I can't just turn it off either. Is there an app on the market which displays what programs are currently using GPS, wireless and so on?

Jan 6, 2012I've recently used Buzztouch to make my first simple Android app for my rugby team. It's made up generall of RSS feeds from a wordpress blog that show our results and match reports.
The problem I'm having is this: When I used the app on my wife's HTC desire, it works perfectly, with the display just right. When I used my Galaxy Nexus, the text from the RSS feed is tiny and only uses half the screen (here are some screen shots http:[url]....
Is this a case that I have to simply change a setting on my display or is it something a bit larger.

Jun 28, 2010I would like to move my Family Guy episodes and perhaps Caddyshack or any other great movie to my DInc but alas iTunes has shut me down with AAC protection. Some of the other posts I saw suggested using Doubletwist which I downloaded on my Mac and seems like it would work, yet the files are still protected so that doesn't help. Another said to use FairGame to take the DRM protection off of the file so I can transfer them, but that didn't work either. Is there ANY easy answer that won't cost me anything or be difficult to do? Anybody out there already do this on their DInc?

May 21, 2010I have an Incredible, and would really like to catch up on TV shows that I miss. I usually use hulu on my computer. I know that CBS has an app, but I don't really watch CBS much. Is there a way I can get ABC/ Fox to work on my phone? I know with 2.2 it will probably work, since it will have full flash but can I do it now somehow?

Aug 6, 2010I know there have been sporadic complaints of random things happening (or not happening) since the update this week. So far, I myself haven't had any complaints, but I just noticed that if I get a call WHILE I'm on a call, only the phone number of the new caller shows up, and none of their contact info. I remember the phone showing me everything before, i.e. name/caller ID photo etc. Is anyone else having this problem or find a way to fix it? I don't think I've reset it by turning it off and pulling the battery yet, not that I know that would do any good, and I'm not doing a factory reset. I've got a ton of apps I'd rather not lose.

Jul 14, 2010I've just taken delivery of my brand new HTC Desire and I'm having a little difficulty importing my contacts from my old SE W995. I've put the SIM card in the new handset and it seems to have recognized some of the numbers but as far as I can see its only showing one number per contact whereas my W995 let me save a few different numbers for each contact (work, home, mobile etc) - is there any way to get the HTC to recognize this without keying them all in again?

May 6, 2010I have recently upgraded from the Hero to the Desire and i am very impressed with it superb phone ....
When sending an SMS you type your msg and click on the little human icon in the top right corner to view your contacts well my Desire is showing my phone, sim, google and Facebook contacts! all i want to see there is my phone contacts there is no option to change the view? and when you click <Groups> it shows <Device Contacts> but shows no contacts although i have lots on my device? is this a known issue or have i got settings wrong?
So far i have had to unsync my FB which i really dont want to do because its great having peoples pictures alongside there numbers and when they ring...I have set my phone to only show my phone contacts (in the 'People' settings) not my google or my SIM or my FB!
Still after all the above i now get my duplicates because the phone still shows my phone and SIM contacts WAY?
I cannot delete my SIM contacts as i need them on there! surely this is a bug of some sorts? because i have checked every setting i can find to stop it....you would have thought there would have been an option in menu to let the end user select which contacts to view? i only want to view phone contacts and the only was it to do this it seems is to disable some of the very good features this phone has....
