Aug 20, 2010Task manager in my Samsung Galaxy S shows RAM as 326 MB. Is it not supposed to be 512 MB ? Or is it that Indian versions have a different hardware configuration ?

General :: Samsung Galaxy SII Rings For A Second - Shows Missed Call
Oct 16, 2013The phone begins to ring and will ring for maybe a second, the screen lights up for me to answer, then it goes back to home screen and ring stops. A missed call notification shows up and then immediately begins to ring again...this only takes maybe a second... it does this over and over, showing up to 12 missed calls for one call. I have tried factory ringtones and downloaded, it does not discriminate.

Aug 18, 2010So this thing just started within the past week. My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

Jun 16, 2010I was trying to get calkulins DE03 on my moment tonight, and since I've put dd03/dd10 on, I thought it would be easy but I obviously messed up something. i have the new 2.1 rom flasher, i have joeykrims 2.1.3, those dont seem to be the issue. the issue is now when I place the phone in download mode, I no longer get a data connection. I just get something called m900 under the Other Device category in Device Manager. i have no idea what driver I need to make this happen, and I certainly dont remember this from flashing it the previous two time. I tried to install the drivers from the Technica YT video, but that didnt seem to solve anything. when the phone is in Normal Mode, I can mount and do all sorts of things via USB, so clearly, this is a Download Mode driver issue.

I still have bars (like two) but I can't get anything to work. Every once in a while there will be a pulse in signal bars and I'll update date and time. Anyone know what's going on?

I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted.How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number?In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown.When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. So the issue is not operator related but telephone related.

Sep 5, 2010I have configured my Samsung Galaxy S using my normal Gmail account. This has helped me to sync the Google Contacts with my phone.
Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
Samsung I7500 : Bugs With Galaxo - Dial Pads Dont Vibrate - Instead Of Showing My Providers Name It Shows 302320
Oct 16, 2010there are some some very annoying bugs with galaxo 1.6.3.4. am I the only one who is having them or it is common?
1. when I plug in my headphones and then unplug it, it would start randomly playing music through the speakers.
2. dial pads dont vibrate even though it is set to vibrate in the options.
3. instead of showing my providers name it shows 302320
anyone else having the same problems? btw I already reinstalled it and it didn't help.

Jul 12, 2010I was originally going to get either the HTC Hero or Motorola Droid but found out they are both CMDA. and the Milestone is out of my budget. People have been suggesting to get the Samsung Galaxy S, that's also out of my budget and looks too much like an iPhone. So i stumbled upon these two phones.I'm leaning more towards the Spica because it has superior battery life, and 800mhz compared to the 528mhz the i7500 has. and it can also play DivX.What's making it a difficult decision is the i7500 has an AMOLED Screen. It can display 16,777,216 Colors while the Spica can only display 65,536 Colors I'm not too sure if that will make a difference. Also it has 5mp w/LED Flash while Spica is only 3.2.One phone has a little of both. This will be my first Android phone I'm coming from a Sony Ericsson W995.

Nov 10, 2010I have recently picked up a Samsung Galaxy S Captivate (Android 2.1) on Rogers Wireless. I've been having an issue with the wifi on it, it only works intermittently when I'm at home. It will connect to my network without issues, but none of the data-enabled apps can access anything, they just time out. While this is happening my old iPhone (recent android convert) and my Nintendo Wii are able to connect flawlessly. This ONLY happens when I'm at home on my own network from what I've seen, when I'm on the wifi at my work everything works fine. Has anyone seen issues like this or have any suggestions as to what may be causing it? FYI I have tried different wifi channels, currently my router is setup to use TKIP on WPA2 for encryption.

When I go to send a text message and press contacts, my contacts are there multiple times, but I can't see any differences because they are named the same. Nov 20, 2010My phone was advertised on ebay as being simlocked to T mobile. However I quickly discovered it wasn't when my Orange Sim worked in it and no T mobile apps or logos appeared on my phone. I already have a Samsung Glaxaxy from Orange so instantly knew that my new phone from ebay was not up to date.As you can see one of my phones is running the latest firmware but the other one isn't AND also says it cannot be updated. What is going on? Has the seller messed with my phone or something?I am not interested in getting Froyo on either of my phones. I will get that when it is officially released. All I want is the ebay phone to be able to be updated. I have tried everything suggested on this forum including changing the product code. I tried to change it on the phone, no product codes were listed as a choice, I also changed the registry but nothing works. Have I got a dud phone because surely my T Mobile phone (which somehow allows an orange sim to work) can get JM3 update by now?
