When I purchased my Droid, the Verizon sales rep told me about an app that would show where you have been...i.e. like if you parked your car in a large parking lot, then you could mark that location with this program and it would show you how to get back to that spot. I thought he said it was called 'Footprint', but I do not see a program like that. Do anyone know of an app that does this?

So this thing just started within the past week. My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIm the happy owner of a HTC Desire with android 2.1 and until lately it has been a pleasure. A few hours ago the GPs symbol in the status bar popped up and its been there since. Usually the icon disappears after I close the app which uses it but this time it just seem to have come out of nowhere (didnt use any app at the time) and it doesn't go away. It is animating so it seems like the GPS is really being used. Since I don't know which apps are using it I can't just turn it off either. Is there an app on the market which displays what programs are currently using GPS, wireless and so on?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy housemate and I both installed 3G Watchdog the other day (Desire and an X10, noth on different networks) and in both cases it shows small amounts of 3G data being used even when the WiFi connection is up and running. I have been at home all day, in good connection with the wireless, but it shows about 3 meg of data traffic. Could 3G Watchdog be misreading somewhere or is the an app or 2 that wont use WAN?

However, when I open this intent, the gps on the device starts and google maps first displays my location instead of the location in the URI. This happens only the first time you open google maps. If I go back to my app and make the same selection, then the correct position on the map appears.I tried using something like this: geo:0,0?q=*business+near+city, however this doesnt centers the map on a position, but in the nearest address.

I just published my first application to the market and the "Just in" display show my icon and app name, but under the app name is shows my birth certificate name! How can I change this? Is it something I am missing in my manifest? I'm sure my mom would it; but me -- not so much.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIf I don't use ATK, my phone runs very fast and smooth with a ton of crap listed in the back ground. It even scrolls fine. However, it benchmarks lower than when I use ATK to kill everything. My quadrant scores really get low when ATK shows a ton of programs. Kill them and the phone is slow, but benches higher. I stopped using ATK for the most part, but occassionally do for what ever reasons. High bench marks makes me feel good, but so does a smooth phone!

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Tablet shows black screen after a while animation android logo and no more work. So I tried factory reset. But factory reset doesn't proceed to recover menu. It shows only factory reset logo (Android logo with red triangle) like screenshot.
My tab has only 3 button (power, Volume up and down). I tried both of them. But the logo doesn't move. How to factory reset?

My phone (Cherry Mobile Bubble Android 2.3.5) was rooted before through Mobogenie's One Click Root. I don't have any problem my apps gaining root access. But i can't do software update, so i thought that's because of being rooted. So I did permanent root at SuperSU settings, and I have successfully updated my phone. But when I rooted my phone again, I can't gain root access through SuperSu. It always shows "Installation failed". I do have an update zip file on my sd cards root. But to no avail.

But when I go back to the Market Downloads it is still displaying the animated 'Installing' bar.
