HTC Incredible :: Lookout - Want Another App Like This?
May 13, 2010I used this app for my eris and it worked fine. Now when I try to backup from the web site it keep telling me there is a connection error but I get the text message saying it is connecting to my phone. I can back up from my phone but it never hit the web site . I have tried support no help and the forums on lookout are loaded with the same issues. Anyone know of another app like this one I can use?

Oct 31, 2010I have 31 pictures that are no longer accessible.Of course, they're all Halloween pictures of my kids. They WERE there.I've looked at them, been able to see them.Now, all of a sudden, they're grey boxes with a picture symbol and exclamation point.On my computer, they show up as a red X.I thought I might be in luck since I back everything up with Lookout. Well, apparently Lookout is NOT doing it's job. I've never checked up on it before, and tonight when I log in, although the option to back up pictures is checked, it DOES NOT BACK UP PICTURES! None of my pictures have ever been backed up with Lookout.

Dec 29, 2009sprint had to order me a replacement phone bc my hero was defective, so before i got it i downloaded the lookout app and backed up my contacts well i got my new hero activated last nite and downloaded the app and now im having the hardest time trying to restore my contacts!! has anyone been able to restore successfully? if so, id appreciate any tips.also, i didnt realize that all the contacts had to be saved under google in order for them to sync... but now im just trying to figure out how to transfer my contact from this lookout app so i dont have to input them one by one bc that would be such a hassle.

Jun 28, 2010I would like to move my Family Guy episodes and perhaps Caddyshack or any other great movie to my DInc but alas iTunes has shut me down with AAC protection. Some of the other posts I saw suggested using Doubletwist which I downloaded on my Mac and seems like it would work, yet the files are still protected so that doesn't help. Another said to use FairGame to take the DRM protection off of the file so I can transfer them, but that didn't work either. Is there ANY easy answer that won't cost me anything or be difficult to do? Anybody out there already do this on their DInc?

May 21, 2010I have an Incredible, and would really like to catch up on TV shows that I miss. I usually use hulu on my computer. I know that CBS has an app, but I don't really watch CBS much. Is there a way I can get ABC/ Fox to work on my phone? I know with 2.2 it will probably work, since it will have full flash but can I do it now somehow?

Aug 25, 2010Iv had lookout for a while now but it makes my phone very slow (moto cliq) i thought i found a better app called wave secure finds my location and can erase restore info too if stolen but its a 20 dollar monthly subscription. so i thought hmm maybe mobile defense is better but found out its in closed beta damnn so close. soo any other app i missed that can find my location,back up erase and restore my data from my phone or pc if stolen,lock down my phone, and sim card tracking would be a plus too but doesn't matter.

I sent feedback to them via their website but their silence is deafening. It keeps saying "connection error" and will NOT complete a backup.Is anyone else having backup issues? Or is it just me?

Aug 28, 2010Being able to store all my upcoming work schedule, birthdays, and several appointments is one of the most valuable things that I use my Dinc for. However, I have some issues with my calender. When ever I open calender and do a search (example: "dentist apt") the search always shows the appointment or event as being one day before it is actually scheduled. When I go to day view or agenda it then shows the correct date. I thought that this was a problem specific to my Dinc, however yesterday I was at a VZ store and tested this on a dinc in the store and the same thing happened. Does anyone know why this happens and if this is just a bug or it is meant to do this? Thanks

The first day it showed the right town then switched to a different one and will now not go back to the right one. After I set the picture or whatever and crop it, I return to the home screen and the Colorful Bubble HTC Wallpaper always shows up instead, only the live wallpaper really works all the time. My phone's stock gmail app will show new emails so I look at them and then they are all read, showing 0 new.But when I login to the web browser version, 5 minutes or even later(up to hours later), the web browser gmail is not updating to show that I already read the emails.I'm on JH2. So maybe it is a bug with the firmware?Or maybe a setting got changed but I'm not seeing how to handle the issue.

May 24, 2010Im the happy owner of a HTC Desire with android 2.1 and until lately it has been a pleasure. A few hours ago the GPs symbol in the status bar popped up and its been there since. Usually the icon disappears after I close the app which uses it but this time it just seem to have come out of nowhere (didnt use any app at the time) and it doesn't go away. It is animating so it seems like the GPS is really being used. Since I don't know which apps are using it I can't just turn it off either. Is there an app on the market which displays what programs are currently using GPS, wireless and so on?

Jan 6, 2012I've recently used Buzztouch to make my first simple Android app for my rugby team. It's made up generall of RSS feeds from a wordpress blog that show our results and match reports.
The problem I'm having is this: When I used the app on my wife's HTC desire, it works perfectly, with the display just right. When I used my Galaxy Nexus, the text from the RSS feed is tiny and only uses half the screen (here are some screen shots http:[url]....
Is this a case that I have to simply change a setting on my display or is it something a bit larger.
