View 8 RepliesLast night while i was out at the pub i managed to win a Tokio Tablet from one of those games machines.I booted it up this morning and found it was running android 2.3.3.I managed to root it with gingerbreak, superuser works etc...
The default rom is so clunky and slow, kinda makes the tablet useless.
I've been trying to find a tutorial on how to root my device, the Go Clever Terra 72, and still had no luck. Is there a way to root these type of generic tablets?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem is as follows: I'm having trouble rooting one of my customer's Android tablets (DIT 1010) version 4.0.3 and kernel version 3.0.8. (As far as I can tell there's no custom skin)
From what I've gathered Android knows 3 modes and ADB mode is the one that has to be active for me to be able to root it. However Windows stops recognizing the tablet once I've enabled USB debugging.
I've tried installing google android drivers, didn't work. I kept digging and found out I had to manually add my tablet's device ID to the .inf file. I tried this but still no dice. To be more specific these are the lines I've added (Without the Google.NTx86 and Google.NTamd64 lines, they're just for clarity):
[Google.NTx86]
; Android ADB Interface
%SingleAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006
%CompositeAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006&REV_0222
[Google.NTamd64]
; Android ADB Interface
%SingleAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006
%CompositeAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006&REV_0222
I can't really find anything about this tablet and apparently the ADB drivers are device specific.
I tried possibly ever option on le google (and some here) but to no avail. Installed every program suggested on the net (unlockRoot, onclickroot, etc etc) as well as the necessary programs (SDK, ADB drivers etc) but it just seems it is impossible. So I turn my plead towards you, after two full days of struggling with this stupid thing.
How can I root my 4.0.3 ICS generic tablet?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI suppose I shouldn't have been surprised, as any number of other highly improbable things were occurring but there we were, in the car, Droid plugged into the stereo, listening to MP3's, courtesy of the Music app, when a podcast started. At first I thought it was because the damn Music app picked up my podcasts that were in a different directory. Since we were at frequent complete stops anyway (Philthydelphia traffic), I looked at the infernal device and discovered that the Median app was playing a podcast - at the same time the Music app was playing music. I don't know if you can even do that on purpose, or why you'd want to, but there we are. Without any prompting whatsoever, I was getting two audio apps at the same time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 7 tablet and every few days I notice a few new apps on the device. I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just tested my WiFi speed on my diablotek d2 pad and it is really slow. I max out at .40 Mbps... It will not go higher that that. I tested the same WiFi network on my phone and it came out 13mbps. The only thing I did Is the replacement of the build.prop so it can look more tablet like and added gapps.

So awhile back my tablet was acting up and being slow. So I held down the power button to reboot it but when I try starting it back up again it goes through the normal process up until a black screen with the word android that is in blue and is flashing. It always stops here. Also whenever I plug it into my computer it just says that there is no driver found I have a MID M9000 9" Android 4.0 Capacitive Touch Tablet PC - 1.2Ghz, 8GB, 512MB, Wi-Fi (White) The picture is where the screen is stuck

I'm having an issue with my tablet, an Onda VI40 Ultimate. It was left off for a day or two, and when I plugged it in yesterday I got the battery screen, but it was in orange and showing that it needed to be charged. I figured I'd leave it alone for a few hours, then come back to it.
I left it plugged in for four hours, but when I came back to it the tablet is just giving the same message. I took out the charger, plugged it in again and got the same screen. I plugged it into my desktop pc via usb cable, and it just gives the same screen over and over. I got another charger, one exactly like it, and plugged it in. Same screen again. I pressed the reset button, same screen. I tried holding down the power button and volume up button, but no deal. I have the latest CM9 build installed on it, with ICS 4.0.4.
I have included below a terribly blurry photograph of what I'm seeing when I try to turn it on, or do anything with it. The tablet just never seems to charge no matter what I do, nor will it boot in any way.
Thinking about getting the moms a tablet for Christmas. Loving the reviews of the Asus Transformer but my original plan was getting her a 4G device so that she can use it even when wifi isn't available. Just wanted thoughts and opinions from those who have had experiences on either end and any recommendations.

Does Android 4.1 allow a device to serve as a Hands-Free Profile (HFP) device? Similar to the way many newer cars come with integrated Bluetooth/HFP, I would like to use my tablet (Nexus 7) as a front-end for my phone. When an incoming call comes in, the phone should relay the call over Bluetooth to the tablet; it should also allow the tablet to make outgoing calls via Bluetooth over the phone's network.
I am not interested in solutions such as GrooveIP, Talkatone, and SIPDroid. I am specifically looking for Bluetooth HFP.I wouldn't mind looking into developing such a product - but I first wanted to know if the HSP 1.6 host API was available in Android 4.1. I've seen resources stating it was available in ICS 4.0, but I believe this is to allow Android devices to connect to third-party HSP devices - I'm looking to do the opposite (i.e. have the Android device serve as the HSP host).
I bought a tablet without a name. I would like to install CWM to make a backup of the rom. How do I do? Rom Manager says: device not listed above The tablet is already Root

View 9 Replies View Relatedinstall quite a few roms on my phone, and i usually restore my apps/data with Titanium Backup.
What i am asking, could restoring these apps for each rom slow the rom down in general? Or will restoring the data not effect it at all. Its just some roms feeling a bit sluggish after restoring them.
