I have noticed that when I am browsing web pages I cannot receive phone calls - they go straight to voicemail. I am using a T-Mobile G2 on the T-mobile network in the UK. Is this a standard issue and, if so, are they any ways of dealing with it?

I've just noticed a strange problem today, when I'm browsing the web on HSDPA or 3G and a someonce calls, the call takes over and I can take it, now when I'm on GPRS the call goes to voicemail, I've had my Desire since last Thursday and I have a 7 day return to shop swap out still in place (luckily) but is it a settings thing?
View 49 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone and put fresh 1.1 on it a couple days ago, it received calls after rooting, but recently it stopped receiving calls, and it never received texts or visual voice mails. Gmail still pushes new email to it, and the internet works fine to update things and look at websites.
I tried to restore with nandroid and it took fresh off of it but it still doesn't do text, don't know about calls but i doubt it. also when i rooted it i removed sprint tv, nascar, foot prints and a couple other stock apps. after i found it wasn't getting texts i removed advanced task killer, but it didn't have any effect.
Is anyone noticing lag on this? My phone will start to ring, but then like 4 seconds later the option to accept the call will come up. Also, when dialing out I feel like it lags with Fresh 2.1.1 - trying to use my phone as a phone!

So just yesterday 12-1-09 my phone stopped receiving text messages and phone calls. People try to call me and get 4 rings then voicemail. My phone doesnt ring at all. I can place calls and browse the internet, run sprint navigation and all my apps just fine. It has been a perfect phone ever since I bought it. (11-01-09). I did a factory Hard Reset and still my phone didnt receive calls. Called Sprint and they had me turn off my phone and refreshed some info. Had to change the MSID # when i turned my phone back on but still nothing. Has anyone else had this happen to them. The only way I can receive my text messages is if I place a call then they seem to come through.

The screen doesnt light up and no options for receiving calls. This happened before I installed Google voice. I disabled Google voice and still no joy. Everything else works. View 8 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my EVO has decided to stop accepting any incoming calls, texts, or voice mails. I was only able to receive these messages when I was able to get a call to connect and I got a flood of voice mails and texts as if it hadn't been connected to the network the entire time. It also does this thing where it doesn't connect the call when I dial someone. Instead of connecting and seeing the time duration for the call appear, it instead takes forever to connect and just says dialing for a really long time. It was doing it last night, and then this morning it seemed to be normal again, but now it's doing it again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I won't have time to go to sprint until Monday and this is really irritating me.

i just got new nexus 5 the issue is that when some one calls me , i can only hear the ringtone . and nothing displayes on the screen no caller id nor number just home page screen gets displayed and the ringtone can be heard
same way when i make a call the blank screen appears and nothing gets displayed on the screen..
When I first got my Vibrant a week after launch date, I noticed most people would tell me they had been calling me but I never received the call. Sometimes they said it would go straight to voicemail, sometimes it would ring and ring and ring with no answer and voicemail never coming on. Some times I wouldn't get text messages either, or just get the text messages hours after it was sent.
I ended up having to switch to Edge, which I really don't like because it's so much slower in my area than 3G. I know 3G is not what carries phonecalls, and that it shouldn't really matter. But my girlfriend and I both bought a Vibrant the same day, and we both have the same problem. She has gotten her Vibrant exchanged for a new one about a month ago since it ended up having a problem with the SD Card, and I had to get my Vibrant replaced a few weeks ago as well because my first one was lagging like crazy, and freezing............
The cell service is not very good at all at my house. Is there a way to make/receive calls via wifi on my dinc incredible?

I have experienced a number of problems connecting to 3G even when I have full signal and there seems to be no reason why it wouldn't work as on the odd occasion it works perfectly!
I have today found another problem. I was waiting for a call from my wife when I received a text message to say I had a missed call. The phone was on my desk right next to me with a full signal and did not ring. When I finally spoke to my wife she told me it went straight to voicemail with no ring?
I now appear to have a phone that can't receive calls or connect to the internet...smartphone indeed!
I have contacted orange who can confirm they have not been made aware of this issue before...
I am reluctant to give me phone to the Carphone Warehouse as a friend put theirs in for repair and didn't see it for 2 months and when it came back it was still broken!
I still think that it i a network issue but Orange don't want to recognise the issue.
Intermittent head-set issues, specifically No sound when placing or receiving calls. I receive a call, they can hear me...but I can't hear them. I call them back, only to encounter more of the same. I reboot my phone, all is good...until the next occurrence. Contacted Verizon Tech-center, who walked me through a factory default settings switch. Called Verizon back to inform them that the factory default was not help.
They updated my case, and will have the Tech. dept. call me back. Initially this would happen once a month, now it's two-three times a week. Everything else on the Droid works fine - Internet, Email-Sync, Apps...
When I make a call, or sometime when someone calls me, I have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the other end. Apparently, whoever is on the other end can still hear me before I do this, but it is pretty much happening all the time now. Has anyone else experienced this? I googled and looked for some kind of setting, but I have not found a solution yet.

Anyways, when there is an auxiliary cable, or headphones I'm assuming also, plugged into the phone, I can hear the person who I call/who calls me, but they cannot hear me through the phone. Is this true with everyone's phone? Listening to music and then having someone call me while it is plugged in is very annoying as I have to hang up on them and call back.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy SII, on O2 in the UK with their latest software release (Jelly Bean). Since the update the Jelly Bean the other month, it had been working like a dream, but starting this week, my phone seems to freeze whenever a call is recieved, or I try to dial out. The screen just goes black and the phone becomes unresponsive. Sometimes, the screen just stays black and I have to take the battery out to restart. At other times the phone will come back after between 1 and 4 minutes, after apparently rebooting itself (the Samsung welcome screen flashes up).
The phone will also now hang and fail to play media (MP3) files. Whether using the Google Player, the native Samsung app or VLC. Normally, the screen goes black for a minute or two and then the app will show the track as queued up with artwork) but it will not play and the app just freezes. Other apps, internet browsing and text messages works as usual.
I have tried removing any recently installed apps (only Dropbox was new recently) and I tried the factory reset. The problems persist after both.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Eris has been acting very buggy. I am running the OTA OS 2.1. (I have not rooted my phone.) Please excuse me if I sound fairly ignorant about my phone in this post. I'm not very technical.
My phone has very little internal memory left. I read that I needed to delete all apps I wasn't using, clear cache, export contacts to sd card, import contacts from phone back on and then delete any unused contacts. I've done all of that and my avail internal memory is still only 50 MB.
My screen freezes on occassion when making or receiving calls. I seem to miss occassional calls. And there is considerable lag.
These probably all sound like silly problems but like I said, I'm not very technical. I've read others have some of the same issues.. And like I said, I tried some of the solutions mentioned.
I have a Tmobile rooted Samsung Galaxy S III, I was running a nightly Cyanogenmod 10 ROM. Yesterday there was an update for that rom and I downloaded it and installed it, everything was fine and running smoothly until some people started telling me that they were not able to reach me by phone. I tried checking what was wrong and I finally realized that whenever I have my mobile data on or while I am using it I don't receive voice calls. I tried looking everywhere for a way to fix this and I came across the ##DATA# code in which I could turn off the DDTM option but unfortunately my phone doesn't recognize that code.

I thought that maybe something was wrong with the ROM itself so i decided to browse around here for one for my Tmobile samsung galaxy S 3 and I decided to install this one [ROM][4.2.2][RC1] LiquidSmooth ROMs - d2tmo - 2|14|13
after wiping data/cache and dalvik cache I installed this ROM and this is my current phone info and still when I am using my mobile data I cant receive calls nor put the ##DATA# code to turn off DDTM.
is there any other way I could access that DDTM option?
Another thing I realized is that even tho I did the factory reset, wipe dalvik cache and data cache on recovery mode my phone still says it only has 4gb free on its internal memory, isn't it supposed to be completely free after wiping all that stuff?
the connection via my wifi is intermittent at best - usually telling me page not available / connection error , occasionally it does connect but hangs up when searcging - the weather widgets / gmail update regularily . I have used the browser , google widget and downloaded mini opera - all same problem. Secondly , I havn't been able to view youtube vids and only minimal success with beeb player {this may be more to do with the connection dropping off but what I saw wasnt great quality.A nokia n95, which hadnt been used for web browsing until I tried it this morning, was fine browsing using the same wifi network & viewing iplayer.I so want to love this phone [ having rubbished my iphone / nokia friends ] but a quick look through the forums suggests there may be problems with Wi-Fi.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am the proud owner of a Hero, and like it! The only issue I have is that I use a website to book golf on-line. There's an icon which gives a list of all the courses. On a standard PC there's a bar on the right side of the list which you slide up or down to acess about 50 courses. On the Hero I can open the list, but it only shows the first 6 courses, and not the bar. For the life of me I have tried everything and I can't find a way to access the "hidden"courses. Does this problem ring a bell with anyone?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've just got a new Hero and before I replaced the bundled memory card with my own I had a really nice 'view' for browsing tracks in Music. Now I've put my own memory card in and applied the album art, I don't have this nice view any more. It used to show tracks with big album art pics that you could flick through horizontally, iPhone style. Now I get a crappy looking vertical list with tiny pics and can't get the other view back. How do I do this ?
