Android :: Change Default View When Opening Gmail App
Nov 12, 2010I was wondering if anyone knew of a way or an app that would allow me to see all my gmail accounts when opening the gmail app.
Basically instead of it opening straight to the last account I had opened I would like for it to default to the page that shows me each of my accounts and their unread counts. You know, the page you get when you hit Menu - Accounts?

May 20, 2012I'm enjoying go sms pro. But I do have one gripe. In the default messaging app, no matter where I'm at in the app (settings, compose, group messages) and I exit/hit home button. When I re-enter the app, I'm viewing my messages by default..
Go sms pro doesnt do this. If I'm in settings and I hit the home screen, then re-enter the app, I'm viewing settings again.. I want to view messages by default.
General :: Windows 7 Default Folder View For Portable Media Players
Sep 28, 2013This is technically a Win7 question, but much related to Android. On my older Android devices, when connected to PC via USB for file transfer, they would "mount" the SD card as a standard disk drive within Windows. On my newer Android devices, however, they instead connect the device to Windows as a "portable media player." This is fine, except for one thing which really irks me. Every time the portable media player director structure comes up, it is displayed as giant icons. If I change it to "list" or "detail" view within Windows, there are two big problems:
- it doesn't stick (i.e. I'll reconnect later and it will be back to giant icon view)
- it doesn't apply recursively to all subfolders
With regular Win7 file explorer (i.e. for disk drives), it is really easy to set a default folder view for all disk drives on the whole system, and it will stick forever, and apply to all subfolders on every drive. Is it possible to do the same thing with portable media players?

Android :: How Create View Like The Default Android EditContact View
Jul 29, 2010Specifically, I'm curious about how they did the phone number entry part, where they can add additional phone numbers fields when the user clicks the little add button. I initially thought that was done with a ListView, and I got a ListView to work, but the ListView scrolls independently of the rest of the screen, which looks bad.
So I was wondering what the best approach for something like that is? Am I on the right track with the ListView and just missing something allowing me keep it from behaving like it's own scrollable container? Perhaps a custom AdapterView or maybe just with a TableLayout dynamically adding rows? I'm just not sure what would work the best.

Jun 11, 2010A few days after purchasing my EVO, my Gmail account was hacked and is now being used for evil (spamming). Is there any way to change the "default" Gmail account on the EVO without performing a factory reset?What I mean by this is that the e-mail address that I entered into the Gmail "setup screen" (for lack of a better term) is now compromised. Is this a "boom goes the dynamite" situation, or can I change the phone's e-mail address without going nuclear?

Sep 3, 2010I just got an EVO, and I'm loving everything except this one thing. I would like my gmail app to default to "all mail," instead of simply "inbox." Why? I have some messages skip my gmail inbox (like facebook notifications or weekly coupons), so I have set labels to fix that! Keeps a clean inbox. BUT I want to still be notified of Facebook emails on my phone without having to specifically look for them. Say someone tags me in an unflattering picture, and I'm away from my laptop? I'd like to know right away! I have different needs for my phone and my laptop Does anyone else have these problems? Or...solutions?

If so, do you think you could investigate why many users (me included) continue to lose ALL email accounts at least once a week, and sometimes twice a day. it's basically an unusable application that can not be relied upon for anything. nice phones though. iphone never lost my email account settings.

I made the mistake of letting my girlfriend fiddle with my phone while I was setting it up, and she chose mail instead of gmail for sending to email addresses AND pressed the 'always use this option' tab, so now I can't fingure out how to change it back - I know that under the 'always use this option' tab there was a message telling you how to change it, but I didn't get to read what it said before she pressed accept! Now whenever I press on a favourite that has an email address associated to it it takes me to the POP email screen, and I don't have a POP email account! How can I switch it back to gmail?

I just want to view the site in my internet browser the same way as I can on my computer but when I am on youtube and I choose the Desktop view at the bottom of the page it just reverts back to Mobile view instead. Dec 6, 2009I'm using GMail by default on my phone because it allows me to have my mail pushed to me. Receiving works great, but when I tell the phone to send an email such as a picture from the internet while in the browser, it makes me choose between Exchange or a POP account. How can I get it so it uses gmail instead? I tried adding my GMail account as a POP 3 and sending the emails, but I'm not receiving any of them.
BTW, after conditioning my battery for 3 days, I'm currently at 6 hours of awake time and 24 hours of up time, and the sucker still won't die, lol.
