Android :: How To Login To New YouTube Account?
Dec 27, 2009I have two youtube accounts: one linked to my gmail (which I don't use that account) and then one that isn't linked to my gmail and I use all the time. When I go to my youtube app on my G1 it links up to the one that my gmail is linked too. I deleted that account from my computer but it is still showing up on my G1. I went to my youtube account that I use from my computer and set the email to my gmail account but it still shows up in my youtube app as the account that I don't use. How do I log into my youtube account from that app?

Oct 8, 2010I have a youtube account and have it linked to my google account but I can't login to it on my phone using the youtube widget. I can login on my pc but I can't on my phone widget. Is anyone else having this problem and what kinda of fix can I do? I did a factory reset for another problem and I still can't login into the youtube account after that either. I have also tried changing my password and it didn't work either.

Feb 1, 2010I forgot my gmail account password when purchasing my Eris and the sales person set one up for me and also said i can later switch my account once i rememebred the old one. Well...she spelled my name wrong and it seems like i cannot delete the default account or switch to my previous existing account.
I wanted to uninstall gmail and reinstall but this app is not available. is this a possible solution?

Motorola Droid :: Sharing Video On Youtube / Must Login Every Time?
Dec 4, 2009So, I'm having a small issue trying to share videos on Youtube. Essentially, I'm forced to log in every single time I want to upload a video. Here's how it happens: I take a video with the stock camera app. Go to the gallery, and click share. Choose Youtube. It asks me to login. I do, and it uploads fine over wifi. Take another video, same steps, and I'm asked to login again. The problem is, I have a long username, so this is really annoying. I'd think it would cache my username for at least as long as the youtube app is still open in the background, or gallery, or something. I've tried going into the youtube app directly, logging in, and then doing all this. No matter what I do, I have to login to youtube every single time. There are other Droid threads about login errors to youtube via the app, but I'm not experiencing that - I'm able to login fine, I'm just annoyed I have to do it every single time I want to use youtube, be it via the app or sharing through gallery. I'm learning to Cut All when I login the first time, then pasting each subsequent time, so at least I'm only retyping my password each time. Which makes it not a huge deal, but still an annoyance Especially since I tend to upload in batches. Anyone else experiencing this? Is this a security thing or did they just forget the "remember me" checkbox?

"Needs to communicate" message for ~ 3 minutes, then bombs out with - "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". 3G is fine, on a wifi connection that is fine, web browser works fine..... Google Apps account works fine.

Feb 3, 2010Whenever I try to log into my youtube account on my Droid, it freezes up. I will open the Youtube app, press menu and click My account. Then it has 2 choices: 1) My email address, 2) Add account. When I click on my email it freezes up and eventually the Droid gives me the option to "Force close" it, as it is not responding. I also tried "Add account" and typed in my email address (which had already shown up as the first choice) and password, and it said "authenticating" and then froze up too.

Jan 13, 2010I never watch YouTube videos in anything other than high quality. But the only way I can see to change the quality is via the menu on a per-video basis. It defaults to the lesser quality, which is REALLY crappy!
Is there some way to change the default to play videos in the best quality?
And also, what's to gain by playing them in the lesser quality? Bandwidth? Battery conservation? Load time? For a phone with such a magnificant display size & resolution, I can't imagine why anyone would want to view videos in anything but the best quality possible.

Jan 4, 2010So yesterday, my GMail account totally crashed on me. I tried to log on from a computer and it says that my account has been disabled. I've sent e-mails to google and everything and I have yet to get anywhere. I'm extremely furious because my GMail account contains everything. There is no number to reach google at Tech Support or anything like that.
You would think that a company like Google would stand behind their products 110% and would have a tech support center to get issues resolved immediately. Nope, they don't. Should I be worried or is it completely normal for my IP to bounce from different towers like that?
