About a week ago the deafult view of my calendar switched from monthly to daily; then, this am the default view changed back to monthly, and midday the default view is the agenda makes no sense how the default view keeps changing, esp as there is no way to change the default view (yes, you can change the views, but the default view is the most backstepped view prior to being back on the homescreen).

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make it so that when I push the camera (red) button on my phone, it launches Vignette rather than the stock camera. Does anyone know how to do this. I tried going to the "manage applications" and clear defaults on the camera, but the camera is not an application that shows up. I even reinstalled Vignette, hoping that it would prompt me to pick the default app, but no joy.Anyone know how to change the default camera, or else remap the camera button?

I find the default a lil weird because of the green 'bars' that fill up corresponding to what time of day it is (not knowing if its a holiday bar or an appointment because its always green). What I am looking for is something that will sync with google calendar and act as a replacement for the default calender - something that will maybe show something for that day w/o clicking on it in monthly view? and maybe a better 'agenda' or something to keep track of my schedules.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to get the agenda views on the Google and corp calendar to NOT show any events in the past? I don't see a way to do this. The calendars seem to show the current day at the top when you go to the agenda view, so it's not a horrid show topper, but it's still annoying. I don't want to accidentally be looking at wrong days in the past and not know it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I am going through my calendar day by day it shows me from about 8am to 5pm. If there's anything before 8am or after 5pm, I don't see it without scrolling. On my old Treo, it would get rid of some of the unallocated hours between 8am to 5pm to ensure other events fit on the screen. Anyway to do this within the Calendar? I'm using Agenda in the meantime but would really like to see just the day's events for whatever day I'm looking at.

View 16 Replies View RelatedO.K. I've seen in different themes or roms that the backgrounds are different than stock. Evil eris the robot on the dialer screen was blue. I've seen em pink. Seen em with checkerboard pattern across his midsection. Never seen a completely custom without the robot tho. My question is how do you change that screen and is the robot not removable? Can I just put some random picture that I think is cool at the time? Oh and how do I change the color of the call button and battery icon, if theres a way without installing other apps to do it?

Using Dialer One, or Phone. And it gives me the option to "Use by default for this action".So, lets say I want to use Dialer One by default, but then I change my mind. How do I set it back to the default Phone.Obviously, this question applies to more than just the phone app. After writing all that I think the simple way to ask my question is- I really just want to know how to undo the 'use by default for this action' choices I may make in the future.

When he set up his wife as a favorite, he accidentally chose to "send text" as the default action. He wants to change it to dial her cell number. I read the instructions for my Eris on how to do this.It tells me "To change the default communication method for a favorite contact, press and hold the contact, and then tap Change default action."When I do this, I do not get an option to change default action. Same for him.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore the OTA I was able to select which apllication was used when the large "phone" button was pushed on the homepage. I think what used to happen was that when you downloaded a new phone dialer and then pressed the phone button the first time you were given an option as to what app you want to use for this action. Once you chose an app it was always activated when you pressed the phone button. I don't see this happening anymore.
View 7 Replies View Relatedjust got the phone a week ago.i'm using Google Calendar exclusively for all my date keeping. it's great to see that the default calendar apps sync with google calendar (GC)now, in GC (the web version) i set up the default reminders for new appointments to be a) email and b) sms.i noticed that, in order to get notifications on my PHONE as well, i need to add c) pop up to it. tested and that seems to work fine. will that pop up show anywhere else as well though? i never used that notification option before.and i noticed the following two annoying things:
1) default appointment notifications not set when appointment made using phone calendar application
when i make a new appointment from my PHONE, it shows up on the web version after a sync, that's all very cool. BUT then the appointment does not get assigned the default notification options (email and SMS), it only has pop up. any way to work around that? can't seem to find options for that.
2) when appointment made via application, web version of the appointment shows me as a GUEST who has confirmed that's a bit rubbish?! i.e. the experience is totally different from the appointments i set using the web version of GC.
When adding an event in my calendar I want the default reminder to be none, but when you go into setup on the calendar there is no option under reminder time for none, just 5 min 10 min etc. Is there another way to get calendar reminder to default to none?

When i'm looking at the calendar and click on the "agenda" view on the bottom left, it only shows me the Agenda List for the current month. There is no way to swipe or scroll to the next month(s). Is this changed in Android 2.1? Or is there a better, free, calendar Widget out there that does this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Companion Link to sync my Outlook with Gmail and thus to my Eris. So far it works flawlessly. All my calendar events show up, all details and notes included. The one weird problem I'm having is that while all of my calendar events show up in Outlook, and in the Gmail calendar, AND on the Eris calendar in either Month View (it shows the notch indicating an event that day) or in Day View (all events are correctly displayed) but --- if I switch to Agenda View, most of my events are NOT displayed. All Day events are all displayed as a few "timed events", but most timed events are not. Can't figure it out. I know the data is there. It is correctly displayed in every place and in every way EXCEPT Agenda View.

However, I wish to change some of the icons it defaults to when I load them up (particularly the Market icon, which defaults to the Recycle Bin).Is there a way to do this manually? or do I need to download another software from the market? I see some people mentioned "Better Cut" but I'm unsure if that does what I am asking, or if it is just a replacement for Open Home.I'm not too savvy poking around the Android OS at the root.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep having to change my default ringtone to my choice, for some unknown reason, it keeps getting changed back to default. I have rings extended and have changed most of my contacts ringtones and they have stayed, but whenever I go to settings and change it and then either shut my phone off, plug it in, whatever, it causes it to go back to default. I have tried ringdroid and that seems to only work as a ringtone maker, it will not show up in the menu to change tones like Rings Extended does. I also moved my ringtones to an appropriate folder for access. I also have adw launcher now (previously Launcherpro plus-which made no difference)

However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?

By default R.Java will get created in gen folder under the package (of the application) directory. I have a common code (with UI) which has to go with different applications with different package names/branding. When ever I change the package name in manifest file, R.java will created inside that package so I have to change the import statement in all the files with the new location of R. How I can avoid it? Also is there is any provision to have two or more R files in one application?
