Motorola Droid :: Default View Of Calendar Keeps Changing

Nov 27, 2009

About a week ago the deafult view of my calendar switched from monthly to daily; then, this am the default view changed back to monthly, and midday the default view is the agenda makes no sense how the default view keeps changing, esp as there is no way to change the default view (yes, you can change the views, but the default view is the most backstepped view prior to being back on the homescreen).

Annoying! Also, any idea how to change the color of the default calendar (exchange not google?)Seems like Samsung makes a lot of these kind of settings much harder to find/change than HTC.

HTC Desire :: Calendar App With Google Calendar And Default Notifications

Jun 8, 2010

just got the phone a week ago.i'm using Google Calendar exclusively for all my date keeping. it's great to see that the default calendar apps sync with google calendar (GC)now, in GC (the web version) i set up the default reminders for new appointments to be a) email and b) sms.i noticed that, in order to get notifications on my PHONE as well, i need to add c) pop up to it. tested and that seems to work fine. will that pop up show anywhere else as well though? i never used that notification option before.and i noticed the following two annoying things:

1) default appointment notifications not set when appointment made using phone calendar application
when i make a new appointment from my PHONE, it shows up on the web version after a sync, that's all very cool. BUT then the appointment does not get assigned the default notification options (email and SMS), it only has pop up. any way to work around that? can't seem to find options for that.

2) when appointment made via application, web version of the appointment shows me as a GUEST who has confirmed that's a bit rubbish?! i.e. the experience is totally different from the appointments i set using the web version of GC.

HTC EVO 4G :: Default Calendar Not Found

Oct 1, 2010

For the last week I've been getting a small system popup in the bottom of my screen that says "Default Calendar Not Found" I had a few calendar apps loaded and all working fine, so thinking it may have been one of those, I deleted all of them, now with just the stock calendar it still gives me that message. Sometimes not for awhile sometimes one after another just minutes apart. All my calendar app worked fine all synced right with my Google app.

HTC Incredible :: Default Calendar App

Jun 17, 2010

I have a few basics things I was hoping the Calendar app would do for me so that I could stop using my old desktop app (Calendarscope) and officially move to Google calendar with sync on the Incredible.

I mostly use the calendar for events and always include a reminder so that I can keep track of my life. However, when an event reminder pops up on the Incredible I only have two options: Dismiss or Snooze. I can't snooze for 1 hour or 2 hours or 2 days (the way I might in Outlook). It's just "Snooze".

When I press Snooze, it seems that the event gets hidden for 10 minutes and then comes back. When I dismiss it, I no longer get reminded of it but it sits in the notification area.

When I go into the notification area, if I want to dismiss any one event, I cannot seem to do it. All I have options for are "Snooze All" and "Dismiss All". If I long press on any event, I don't get a menu that says "Dismiss this Event" or "Snooze this Event". I don't understand this...Am I missing something totally obvious?

When I go the settings of the calendar program and then into Reminder Settings, I see a checkbox at the end that says "Hide Declined events" but I don't understand how to "decline" an event. I only seem to be able to snooze and dismiss (as mentioned above). Again...am I missing something?

All I want is to be able to easily manage the snoozing and dismissing of individual reminders/events but this doesn't seem to work properly.

Android :: How Create View Like The Default Android EditContact View

Jul 29, 2010

Specifically, I'm curious about how they did the phone number entry part, where they can add additional phone numbers fields when the user clicks the little add button. I initially thought that was done with a ListView, and I got a ListView to work, but the ListView scrolls independently of the rest of the screen, which looks bad.

So I was wondering what the best approach for something like that is? Am I on the right track with the ListView and just missing something allowing me keep it from behaving like it's own scrollable container? Perhaps a custom AdapterView or maybe just with a TableLayout dynamically adding rows? I'm just not sure what would work the best.

Android :: Default Calendar Setting

Sep 4, 2009

I am quite irritated by the feature in the calendar, that places any new events by default in My Calendar, that is NOT synced with Google cal. Is there a way to change this default setting, to have it choose my Google Cal instead? I have not been able to find any such setting, but reasonably there should be one somewhere (maybe accessible through command line instead of gui)?

Android :: Any Alternatives To Default Google Calendar?

Jan 20, 2009

I am looking forward to get my very own G1, but up to now i wasn't able to pick up one because G1 sale in austria will start by the end of January. There is one major question to me before pre-ordering:Are there already any alternative Calendar Applications available for the G1? I do not feel comfortable with the fact in mind that Google may potentially be able to read my appointments. My "dream application" would be a completely offline calendar on the G1 which is able to sync with Mozilla Sunbird/Lightning through my private WiFi-Network. Is any such or similar thing available? It seems there's coming agendus from iambic which is my favourite PIM-App on palm. Is there anything available already?

HTC Incredible :: Calendar Default Reminder Time

May 6, 2010

I hate calendar reminders, almost never use them, and I have my Google calendars set up to default to no reminder when I enter a new event. But on the Incredible, I can't figure out how to do that. When I enter a new event there is an option to set the reminder as "none" for that event. But under calendar settings, "none" is not listed as one of the options for the default reminder time - there's nothing above 5 minutes on the drop-down list. Anyone know if there's any way to do this? I just can't believe it's not an option and that I have to manually delete the reminder for every single event I enter into the calendar...

Sprint HTC Hero :: Set Default Reminder In Calendar

Feb 17, 2010

I see lots of threads about getting reminders to go off, but I cannot figure out how to set the default for new appointments to have NO reminder. I can make an appointment and go down to reminder, scroll up to "none," but when I go to set the default reminder in the calendar I am offered 5 minutes and less. I don't want reminders, and I would prefer to have it default to none every time rather than having to go the extra step to set it to none. Is there a way to change the default to no reminder? I have set up my google calendar online to have none, but when I enter an appointment in my calendar it won't allow that.

Motorola Droid :: Default Calendar With Green Bar?

Feb 6, 2010

Just wondering if there's a better calender application out there or do most of you use the default one? I find the default a lil weird because of the green 'bars' that fill up corresponding to what time of day it is (not knowing if its a holiday bar or an appointment because its always green). What I am looking for is something that will sync with google calendar and act as a replacement for the default calender - something that will maybe show something for that day w/o clicking on it in monthly view? and maybe a better 'agenda' or something to keep track of my schedules.

Android :: View On Press Onpress - Change Background Color On Press - How Do Show That The View Is Being Pressed

Jan 5, 2010

I have, for the time being, a custom view with a 9-patch image as a border.

That custom view is placed three times in a LinearLayout, so it looks like this:

+------------------------+
CustomView
+------------------------+
CustomView
+------------------------+
CustomView
+------------------------+

I have attached a click event listener to the View, so it is clickable. But then I click it, I cant see that I am clicking it - there is no change in color.

So, Im thought that I'd attach a "onPress" listener, and then change the background of the view but I couldnt find such a listener.

So, the question is - how do I create the behaviour on the View so I can see that it is being pressed? this is normally done in Android with a green background to indicate that it is now being pressed.

Android :: Default Program For Google Calendar Invites?

May 13, 2010

I have a Druid and a I'm wondering when I get a Google Calendar invite via G mail and accept it it pops up asking me what program to use. The list includes a browser and Calendar so I'm sure it's one of these but which is it for sure to set it to default? It also seems to ask a few times so it might need a certain combination of programs to work w/o a hitch. Maybe calendar first to update my calendar with the appointment/meeting then a browser to send a notification to the sender that I've accepted or? Anyone know for sure so I can set them to default properly so I don't have to randomly guess several times each time I get an invite?

Is there anyway to set-up Calendar (stock app) such that it will automatically set an alarm for every entry that one enters into the calendar? Example - I want all of my appointments to have an alarm, but I'm having to set alarms for each appointment I put into the calendar. Is there anyway to set-up Calendar such that it defaults to set an alarm for every appointment (when I set it up and such that I don't have to tick the box each time)?

Android :: Need To Refresh Default Calendar To Get Jorte To Update?

Aug 15, 2010

I am using Google Sync to sync my Outlook on my desktop to my Google calendar on my phone. I am using Jorte to view my calendar on my phone.Whenever I make a change on my desktop in Outlook (or even in Google Calendar online), the only way I seem to be able to get it on Jorte fairly quickly is to go to default calendar on Droid, choose "refresh" option", then go back to Jorte calendar and make sure it is there.

1) Does Jorte have its own "refresh" option?

2) Why do I even need to do this?
