General :: Twitter Notification Sound Incorrect Since Most Recent App Update (5.2.2)
Mar 11, 2014I got an update to Twitter version 5.2.2. I'm using a Sony Z1 Compact with Android version 4.3. Since the update, Twitter is now using the same sound as my SMS notifications - the phone default notification. I keep trying to set Twitter to use a different sound (within the application - Settings > Account > choose notification sound).

Dec 23, 2013I am receiving many emails from different accounts (approx 6 different accounts) and I would like to have a way to read the emails from the notification panel and mark them as "read" or "delete".
And, in the mail app, the best will be with a consolidated view for unread messages.
I don't want an application that "proxifies" our data (man in the middle; and they have the password of our mailbox).

Basically, whenever I get any notification like an email or text, the notification sound goes off as it should. However, if I decide not to look at the email or text, the sound will go off every minute until I read the message. Do any of you guys know if there is a way to stop this?

Feb 18, 2010Is there a way to mark text messages as read right from the notification bar? I hate when someone responds with something short enough that I can read it right from the bar. Then the only way that it will not show up as a new message on the message icon or be bold in the list, I have to click on it, open the message app, and then back out of it. Not that big of a PITA just kind of annoying when I already know the full message.

Nov 12, 2009I have a few gmail accounts on my Droid and that work fine, but my msn email that I added has a problem. If I get messages and don't open them, then 15 minutes later I get a notification of new mail, but when I check there's nothing new. So then I tried marking messages read to prevent this but some of the messages revert to unread on their own then renotify me as if I have new messages. So I either have to open them or delete them to stop getting false notifications.
Anyone else have this issue, any settings I can change that will fix this? Nobody has access to this email account except me so I know it's not a matter of someone marking unread from the desktop.

Aug 5, 2013One thing bugs me though. I've had to set ro.fs.fakerotation to 180 so that my tablet auto-rotates correctly, but in "recent apps" all of the thumbnails are upside-down.
I have a feeling it may be a matter of modifying systemui.apk but I'm not sure.

Jan 31, 2011What launcher intent should be called, to bring up the "Recent Apps" list in the default home launcher? I am using a Pandigital Novel, and the lack of hardware keys make it very awkward to navigate the system. The softkeys in the OP status bar allow me to get to the home screen, and if I glitch it by making it timeout through countless presses occasionally brings up the "Recent Apps" screen which is great, but not reliable like that. (If they had the source code released, I could probably just fix the status bar keys to intentionally [pti] bring the screen up)
What I need, is the actual intent, so I can make a quick toggle app to bring it up. Or if you know of an app that already does this (Or widget, but I'd rather not as widgets mess with sleep on this thing, with the Google Experience/market hack).
I know that it can be done by emulating a home key press that's longer than the longpress timeout.

I wonder if there is flashable zip or something, that adds "Clear All" button in Recent Apps multitasking screen, much like in Galaxy S III, that swipes out all apps from Recent Apps and closes them. Jul 4, 2013I just got the Samsung Galaxy 3 which came with Jellybean going from a Droid 2 with a older version of the operating system. Is there a way to dial directly from Recent Calls without selecting the actually contact. I can't find a way to do it. I have to click the contact and then click the little green phone icon. On my old Droid the little green phone icon was all the way to the right of the contact and you could just dial the directly. Also, is there a way to make it default to Recent instead of the Keypad when you select the Phone icon. Or is there a Shortcut for Recent Calls that I can get. Again, there was a Shortcut that came with my old Droid that I was able to use.

I've made a nandroid back up and a ROM backup before I made any changes. So far, I've only removed some of the bloatware from the stock ROM - 5 or 6 programs.Do I unroot, install the update and reroot? Is it that easy? Or do I have to install one of the backups?

Oct 20, 2011Since accepting the Gingerbread update, I have noticed that the Recent Calls feature of the Dialer now only shows timestamps in reference to the current time rather than the time the call occurred. Calls now show timestamps in the format of 1 hour ago or yesterday rather than displaying the actual time of the call.
