I am receiving many emails from different accounts (approx 6 different accounts) and I would like to have a way to read the emails from the notification panel and mark them as "read" or "delete".
And, in the mail app, the best will be with a consolidated view for unread messages.
I don't want an application that "proxifies" our data (man in the middle; and they have the password of our mailbox).
Is there a way to swipe a text message notification on the lock screen to open that message like you could do in Jelly Bean? My messages show up, but when I swipe them, the lock screen slides over to a second page. I tried playing around with some of the lock screen settings, but couldn't figure anything out. Am I missing something completely obvious, or is this somehow not possible to do?
Brand new S4 received yesterday, stock OTA 4.4.2 pushed by Verizon about 5 minutes after my phone was activated.
After playing a bit more, I found that if I swipe to the second lock screen page, then back, if I tap on the message notification it will open, but tapping before that yields nothing.
On my wife's Droid X, the status bar indicates that she has a voice message. After logging into her message box and clearing all voice messages, the status indicator never goes away. Any idea how to clear this out? It's been there for a few days now. I've tried powering down and removing the battery. We are on Verizon if that matters.

i have faced on my Micromax Smarty 4 A68 is that whenever I receive any message or Missed call on my phone, notification is not visible on the message icon and the phone icon. This is the reason i am using Holo Launcher and Apex launcher and unable to use Nova launcher or xperia launcher.

But the download status bar in notification view which comes when we drag it down is still there. I tried several things like restarting phone , deleting and downloading the related file again etc.
But still the problem persists.
I am looking for a app that will be able to add Notification Bar Brightness Swiping as featured on the Samsung Galaxy-S line, to my Evo. I have done a little bit of searching but nothing has turned up yet.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI connected my iPad to iTunes the other day, I learned I had a lot of space being used up in the 'Other files' tab and learned it's related to unused Cache information and stuff, and other corrupted files etc, and the way to get rid of it was to backup my iPad, restore it and put the backup back on the iPad - which worked.So I decided to connect my phone to my PC for the first time in a long while to find a similar problem on my phone, but would it be a similar issue? iTunes has an Apps tab unlike Android so I'm not sure if it would be space used by them, or the same problem as the iPad.
Furthermore, if I'm going to do the backup then restore thing, how do I backup my phone?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my eris for awhile now, no problems thus far Today, 3 times now I've gotten a text (first using handcent, now chomp) and when I pull down to clear/read it in the notifcations tab, sometimes its disappeared and then when I go into the messaging app, its GONE! WTH? Is there a setting I messed with that is making it do this, or how do I fix it?
I've had to ask people to re-send their text message, that gets pretty old for both of us. I rebooted and have yet to see if that has done anything, I havent gotten a message since I did.
Getting MissedIT! to display the correct unread count for AquaMail? I'm running Nova Launcher on my gorgeous Galaxy Note 3, and also have TeslaUnread installed. While TeslaUnread will correctly display AquaMail unread counts, it doesn't support the display WhatsApp unread counts. MissedIT! will do both, but for the life of me I can't get a true unread count in AquaMail.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to bring back the message notification numerals? i.e. I used to get a 1 or 2 on my phone when a message or two came in, showing the number of new messages. It has now disappeared and I cant find the information under Display, gestures & buttons to get it back. There is only 'notification flash' there but not like 'numerical notification'. I am in Australia and have been to my local Telstra store yesterday but they were not able to quickly bring it back. They said to wait for a technician but I did not have time to hang around.

This intent is then wrapped into a PendingNotification and used by a notification. All was well.yesterday, I had a Voice mail notifier appear and it was the symbol that looks like a cassette tape sort of. This ca be accessed through the basic SMS messages icon.It wants me to dial my # and listen to a message. View 2 Replies View Related i've changed three android tablets so far, rooted my phone, installed and tweaked dozen of roms on it,
on both my tablet and phone i have facebook and gmail applications. they are basically the same .apks since i have a backup of them on a sd card and if i format one device, i often use restire the apps from the sd card.
and you know how you get an instant notification on your phone if you receive a fb message or an e-mail? that doesn't happen on my tablet. it seems that a couple of minutes after i turn off the display on my tablet, it drops the wifi connection (a power save thing i suppose).
is there any way to ensure a constant wifi connection on my tablet so that i receive email/fb notifications in real time and just not after i turn the display on?
Is there anyway to clear the New Voicemail Icon from the notification bar w/o actually Checking the voicemail? It doesn't seem to go away for me when I hit clear notfications lol..... IDK why but having notfications on my screen of any phone i've had has bothered me immensly... and I hate checking my voicemail for one message I kno I will be deleting in the 1st 2 seconds of listening too it

Tap ehere to call Voicemail. Sat, July 24, 2010." I tap it, it calls my voicemail, but it says I have no voicemail. The notification doesn't go away.
