I would like information on how to use my Samsung Stratosphere 4g lte cell phone as an MP3 device? My car has a standard usb port and I can use a memory stick/I-pod for playing music but the usb doesn't recognize my phone as a mass storage devise, I was told I might need a data cable, not just the charging cable? These days I try and try to send data(stream) from an Android-Mobile to a PC VIA USB cable,
I made it good that a socket("10.0.2.2", 6543) on the android emulator sending data stream to a ServerSocket(6543) On a PC , before which I had run "adb forward tcp:12345 tcp:6543".
But when I setup a socket("10.0.2.2", 6543) on a REAL Android-Mobile and a serverSocket on the PC, the socket on the Android-Mobile can NOT send data to the ServerSocket on the PC.
Why can't I use the socket on the Android-Mobile to send data to the ServerSocket(6543) on the PC. What is the different between the REAL device and the android emulator. Or , is the IP setted to be wrong? How can I get the IP of the PC VIA USB ADB?
On the other hand, I make it out to send data from a PC to a REAL Android-Mobile as socket and serverSocket.
I have a droid razr maxx and have been trying to play musin on my car stereo pioneer deh-p4200ub using a data cable due to the fact that i don't have the bluetooth adapter for my head unit yet. everytime i connect to stereo i get "error 19" displayed on head unit. I've tried using mass storage and mtp to reconize sd card in phone. i found that if ihave the music stored on internal memory of phone it will work but i have 14gb of music on sd card that wont fit on internal storage. is there any setting i can change for this to be compatable?

Samsung Fascinate USB cable issue and Adobe flash player.I've got Verizon Samsung Fascinate a few days ago. I really like to phone but there are some things I can't figure out and their tech service wasn't able to answer my questions.First of all I couldn't figure out how to download my pictures from phone to my PC by using USB cable connection. I totally don't understand how USB works with it at all.Second thing, I was trying to watch some of my TV shows but I wasn't able to do so because requests to have adobe flash player. But couldn't manage to download. Is there another program I can use?If anyone has answers for me that would be great.

So, please charge when I plug in the power adapter, but please don't charge when I plug in the USB data cable. View 2 Replies View RelatedHow to connect my phone via USB cable to my computer. I know you turn off USB debugging option under development. I connect the USB cable that came with my phone to USB on my computer and then to my phone. At the top of my phone it comes up with the notification to mount my card touch on that and them my phone comes up saying to turn off mass storage. Using Windows XP and in explorer can see the SD card showing as a drive in my list however when I click on it it shows nothing.
I can see the notice of the usb drive in the listings showing that I can turn it off, which I do before I disconnect the phone from my computer. Then I try to connect the USB again to my phone and all it does is show its charging the phone now, usually the only way to resolve is either to restart my computer or restart my phone and the problem starts all over again. I am tired of taking the card out of my phone manually to connect it to my computer to move or copy files or anything to my card which is an 8GB sandisk micro sd card.
I recently lost the charger and cable that came with the phone, and bought another one, but the actual connector is slightly different. When I plug my phone into my computer, I don't get anything, either on the phone or on the computer, except that the phone does start charging. I get no "start USB service" or whatever option in the phone and the phone does not show up as a drive. Nothing, nada, zilch, zero. I'm guessing it's the cable, but I'd like to confirm before going out and buying another cable.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought an used Samsung Moment via Craiglist about 3 weeks ago. Initially, I had to wiggle my cable to get it charged. After few days, it was not charging nor communicating with my laptop via USB cable. Of course, the Craiglist seller was not willing help me.
After contacting Samsung, I had sent it in to be fixed since it was still under warranty. It just came back today with a note saying:

I know that I can charge my battery via some kind of external batter charger that is around, but can I update my phone and/or root my phone without using USB cable? Can I use a bluetooth connection? If not any idea or suggestion?

But all I get is an option to mount the SD card as a drive to copy files. It doesn't seem to be able to charge the phone. Do I need a special cable, or maybe a second charger from T-Mobile?
