Samsung Fascinate :: Stereo Cable With Mic For Car
Sep 24, 2010I am able to connect my Fascinate to the Aux input of my car stereo but when I make a call with the cable still connected, the internal microphone doesn't work. I have to disconnect the stereo cable and put the phone on speaker.
Ideally, I want to be able to keep the stereo cable connected and hear the person over the radio, and be able to talk. Is there a stereo cable with a microphone built into it that can be used for this purpose? I had one for my HTC device (Amazon.com: Handsfree Stereo Headset Headphones + Microphone + 3.5mm Adapter Converter + Car Home Charger Plug Port For All HTC Phone Smartphone PDA: Cell Phones & Service) that worked very well, but it would only push mono to the stereo.
My car doesn't have bluetooth so I can't go that route. What's my best option here so I can play music in my car and make handsfree calls without bluetooth?

Nov 26, 2010I am going to be buying a new head unit soon and I have a question. The receiver has an Ipod and usb input. Will my epic play music and Pandora through the receiver? If so, what is needed? Will I use the USB cable or buy an Ipod type aux. cable to plug into the headphone jack? I have plugged my epic into another car with an Ipod cable and it plays Pandora however with the volume up I can barely hear anything through the car speakers.

Nov 29, 2012I have a droid razr maxx and have been trying to play musin on my car stereo pioneer deh-p4200ub using a data cable due to the fact that i don't have the bluetooth adapter for my head unit yet. everytime i connect to stereo i get "error 19" displayed on head unit. I've tried using mass storage and mtp to reconize sd card in phone. i found that if ihave the music stored on internal memory of phone it will work but i have 14gb of music on sd card that wont fit on internal storage. is there any setting i can change for this to be compatable?

Aug 24, 2010Is there a hidden setting somewhere where I can tell the phone not to charge when I plug in the USB data cable? So, please charge when I plug in the power adapter, but please don't charge when I plug in the USB data cable. The reason I'm asking is because with all of experimenting I'm doing, trying to get my USB PC to phone connection working, my battery is being overcharged. Yes overcharged to the extent that the phone has even popped up a message once or twice telling me to disconnect, that the battery is fully charged.

Dec 28, 2012I am trying to connect my Samsung Galaxy Express to my W7 PC with a usb cable. I was able to do it last week. I have changed nothing. Suddenly, it won't connect. But it does charge when connected to the PC. It also does not work in my W7 laptop, though it charges in that also. Further, my wife has an identical model phone, and it works in both computers. And just for fun, I tried two different usb cables, not that I even expected that to make a difference.
I have been through the abysmal tech support attempt - which basically told me to do everything I already tried from a google search. Settings changes, all that junk.

Jan 31, 2010How to connect my phone via USB cable to my computer. I know you turn off USB debugging option under development. I connect the USB cable that came with my phone to USB on my computer and then to my phone. At the top of my phone it comes up with the notification to mount my card touch on that and them my phone comes up saying to turn off mass storage. Using Windows XP and in explorer can see the SD card showing as a drive in my list however when I click on it it shows nothing.
I can see the notice of the usb drive in the listings showing that I can turn it off, which I do before I disconnect the phone from my computer. Then I try to connect the USB again to my phone and all it does is show its charging the phone now, usually the only way to resolve is either to restart my computer or restart my phone and the problem starts all over again. I am tired of taking the card out of my phone manually to connect it to my computer to move or copy files or anything to my card which is an 8GB sandisk micro sd card.

Aug 12, 2010I bought an used Samsung Moment via Craiglist about 3 weeks ago. Initially, I had to wiggle my cable to get it charged. After few days, it was not charging nor communicating with my laptop via USB cable. Of course, the Craiglist seller was not willing help me.
After contacting Samsung, I had sent it in to be fixed since it was still under warranty. It just came back today with a note saying:
Your phone is damaged beyond economical repair in the form of a warped board, or missing or damaged components. The factory warranty has been voided.
I know that I can charge my battery via some kind of external batter charger that is around, but can I update my phone and/or root my phone without using USB cable? Can I use a bluetooth connection? If not any idea or suggestion?

But all I get is an option to mount the SD card as a drive to copy files. It doesn't seem to be able to charge the phone. Do I need a special cable, or maybe a second charger from T-Mobile? I hooked the epic up to it today and I could hear the person on the other end talking through my speakers but they couldn't hear me. This used to work on one of the first Palm Pre's I got but when I had to get a new one it never worked again on it.
