I was wondering if there was a way to link to standard go launcher folders to save the need for a separate folder app. So far I cant find them when I try to put a shortcut to them in programs like swipepad.

I have the HTC One X so if I use a different launcher now (ADW, Go etc) I get my desktop shorterned by the "Menu" on screen button.

Ive tried help that i found online, as in hooking up to computer and adding folders, but still, if i go to the gallery i have 2 folders regardless. "my pics" and "all pics". it doesnt show any folders. if i snap a pic itll be in "my pics", any other pic i add just goes into "all pics". this is frustrating as i want it neat and easily navigated... not going thru every picture i have.

I have installed Nova Launcher, press the Home Button and it asks me which launcher to go. I select Nova launcher and set as default. But everytime I lock/unlock my phone, default settings are gone and it asks me again. It's annoying. I have tried with other launchers.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is connect to a shared network drive located on the network it's connected to (eg \sharefoldersharesofficeshares) I open a file from the shared folder, like a word or excel document, and make some changes. Here comes the challenge: When I save the file, it does not save back to the shared folder but only locally on the tablet. That means that if I go to a computer on the same network, connected to the folder and open the file I just edited on the tablet; No changes has been made
The problem is that I have yet to find a android word/excel processor that has the option to save on a network drive.
The only solution without an app with the option stated above is to somehow syncronize the android folder where the edited file is saved. Unfortunately that requires some actions that I would not like to teach the non-IT personal who uses the tablet.
I must say LP is kinda cool, gives you a different feel of the phone. Right now i'm only using one screen, and 1 dock (not multiple dock screens), but i guess i'm just trying to find out if this is actually any different than the normal senseUI. I see there are limited icons, and we can either use the LP icons, or the default icons, but maybe there is an expansion pack for LP that i'm not understanding? Also, what are you guys using as a clock. With LP, i can only add the analog clock, or other wigdet clocks i've downloaded, but can't load 10 clocks that came with the phone. I'm assuming those are senseUI clocks, and will not work with LP. Should i download clock widgets that will work with LP? Also, since i'm only using 1 screen, and 1 dock, and i really not utilizing LP to the max here ? I should be using the dock more, and using it for more applications to quickly pull up right? Does anyone have any advice on how to customize it a little bit to make the experience more enjoyable, or make it worth the while ?Also, battery life? Any difference? Is it the same? I have ATK that i run every once in a while to kill some buggy apps/games, I noticed that LP is running and taking up a good amount of resources, has anyone reported a really bad battery due to LP being installed?

I have a folder where I store all my movie videos that I would like quick access. The Gallery is much too slow having to search all my pictures and videos on my entire 16GB SD Card to populate and it doesn't even display the video name (its difficult to identify movies by the small thumbnail it displays). The best way to launch these currently I find is to traverse the directory tree using an explorer app, but I prefer a quicker method if possible.
