I have searched up and down the web but can't find a way of making the HTC Sense launcher transparent WITHOUT changing launcher.
I have the HTC One X so if I use a different launcher now (ADW, Go etc) I get my desktop shorterned by the "Menu" on screen button.
How I can stick to the standard launcher but have a transparent dock?

I accidentally deleted all 3 icons out of the standard dock bar at the bottom (CM7) and want to reinstate them.
When trying to reinstate the "contacts" button, I can't find the proper ADW-launcher icon for it. Where are these located, how can I chose them?
I was wondering if there was a way to link to standard go launcher folders to save the need for a separate folder app. So far I cant find them when I try to put a shortcut to them in programs like swipepad.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Apex Launcher with the Tablet ModUI on my E4GT (Sprint GS2) and for some reason I don't have anything related to "dock" in Apex Launcher.
I have dock options, and a dock in ADW and Nova. I prefer Apex just because I can have 8x8 as compared to 7x7 in Nova, and ADW makes the icons too little.
With all this screen space, I can tolerate not having a dock, but I still want one. Where are dock settings? Maybe I turned them off or something.
The weird thing is I don't see anything related to the dock. Lyk "scrollable dock" or "dock pages" or anything. It's as if Apex Launcher doesn't have a dock.
Here are some screen shots of the Apex Settings and home screens. The tiny icons are ADW and the ICS icons are Nova. The screen with no Dock is how Apex looks.
I even uninstalled and re-installed the app.
I have been using nova launcher and have been able to add sms unread widgets to the dock area.
Is it possible to add widgets to the dock area in apex launcher. I have tried and failed.
Using aokp build 33 rom.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe other night, something updated on my HTC One (running Venom with GoLauncher EX) and the icons got all jacked-up. Some Google apps reappeared on the dock, a widget got pushed on top of another, etc. It looks like when the Google apps updated, they felt the need to reinstall themselves on the dock -- not sure, but that's not my main question.
When all of this happened, I lost the "grid" looking icon that will show All Apps and I'm not sure how to get it back. At this time, I can only see the apps I've put on my "home" pages, and in order to see All Apps, I must do an "add" and browse that way.
How do I get the all-apps grid thing back?

I am a galaxy s2 gt-i9100 user and i use touchwiz launcher in landscape mode. I have edited my launcher to look like a tablet for my s2 but i wanted to know how to hide the dock from the launcher or move the app drawer icon on top right or bottom right. Is there a way to do this? Also i dont want to install a different rom or launcher.

Even when you get out of the car? Or do you take it on and off as you use it? I'm just wondering how secure that disc is to the glass.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've always wondered, why hasn't the HTC sense Launcher (Rosie) ever been ported to other devices, from other companies, without means of a ROM port? After all, a vast majority of other launchers have been ported - Touchwiz, Xperia eDream, LG UI, Pantech UI... The list goes on really.
So why no love for Sense? I've never heard of any version of Sense ever being ported. Is the underlying framework stuff too complicated or something?
I downloaded Launcher Pro a few days ago and am loving it. As most of you know that after downloading it, pressing the home button gives you the option of which home screen launcher that you want to..well.. launch..either HTC Sense or Launcher Pro. Well this morning I picked Launcher Pro, but accidently clicked the "don't ask me this again" box before that, so now I'm stuck on Launcher Pro and can't get back to my, or any, HTC Sense launcher. I've gone all through my settings and can't figure it out. I'd like to either get back to my old HTC Sense home screen, get to the DEFAULT HTC Sense homescreen, or get back to being able to have the option to pick which one I want to launch.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my DX almost two weeks ago, and immediately ordered the Motorola Car Dock. When you dock it, and it goes into car dock mode, it has a "My Location" button, which takes you to a google map with some overlayed buttons (some kind of skin, essentially). You can select "Nav" on that screen, but it does not take you to the Google Nav app, instead it opens up a dialog box, where you can enter your destination. Then it will work like Google Nav. It really stinks that if you return to the cardock home screen, to change your music or something, when you come back to the My Location> Nav, you will have to re-enter your destination.
Another huge frustration from the lack of integration with the Google Nav app, is when you use the standard Google Nav App (like set a destination, before you leave the house), and then get in the car and enter car dock mode, you can not access your current Nav through car dock mode. You can still get back to it, but you have to exit "car dock mode", and open the Google Nav App. Anyone have any solutions to this? If it were possible, the simplest thing would be to remove the "My Location" button and replace it with a shortcut to the Google Nav App. It does not appear that you can change any of the preset buttons. There is one button that you can set, but I have it set for Pandora, since I use it frequently.
I have looked there, and xda is my next stop, but I would like to ditch Sense and use the standard Android UI. Does anyone know if this is possible? I am not talking about flashing the ROM but rather stopping Sense and loading the normal UI. I am not having any real problems with the Sense UI per se but from playing with other Android devices I think I prefer the normal interface.

I was just wondering if there is a way in the settings to adjust the transparency of the status bar like it has for the app drawer. I currently have the 8.2 version of adw that I downloaded from the devs website and I can't figure out the settings to adjust the transparency of the status bar.

Right now i'm only using one screen, and 1 dock (not multiple dock screens), but i guess i'm just trying to find out if this is actually any different than the normal senseUI. I see there are limited icons, and we can either use the LP icons, or the default icons, but maybe there is an expansion pack for LP that i'm not understanding? Also, what are you guys using as a clock. With LP, i can only add the analog clock, or other wigdet clocks i've downloaded, but can't load 10 clocks that came with the phone. I'm assuming those are senseUI clocks, and will not work with LP. Should i download clock widgets that will work with LP? Also, since i'm only using 1 screen, and 1 dock, and i really not utilizing LP to the max here ? I should be using the dock more, and using it for more applications to quickly pull up right? Does anyone have any advice on how to customize it a little bit to make the experience more enjoyable, or make it worth the while ?Also, battery life? Any difference? Is it the same? I have ATK that i run every once in a while to kill some buggy apps/games, I noticed that LP is running and taking up a good amount of resources, has anyone reported a really bad battery due to LP being installed?
View 7 Replies View Relatedi'm torn between two worlds the world without HTC sense where you can have a shortcut dock on the homescreen as provided by LauncherPro, and the world with HTC sense where more homescreen widgets work.So, the question is - can you get a dock like the one offered by LauncherPro and keep Sense, or, can you get more widgets to work with LauncherPro. Widgets like the agenda calendar where your facebook contacts and any other events show up in a list?

Sense only gives 3 of which the '+' button is pointless as it is just the same as a long press. Would rather avoid changing altogether to LP if at all possible.

Dec says launcher is on the Rom but when I open launcher I see it , then hit the home button and it goesback to sense. Is there a way to set it as default?
