General :: HTC Wildfire S CM9 - Setup Wizard Has Stopped?
Jun 15, 2012I own rooted HTC Wildfire S. I had CM7.2 and it was great, i had no problems with it at all. I decided to install CM9, which should be better, but it won't work... The problem is: The CM9 logo shines at the start, but when i try to Touch the Android to begin, the table appears with "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped.". What should i do? I tried to Wipe cache, wipe dalvik, Factory reset, nothing worked.

Jun 4, 2013When you flash any custom ROM, sometimes there is a problem with setup wizard! When you choose any language in Setup wizard it gives "Unfortunately setup wizard has stopped" when you press OK, problem comes again?
When you are in Setup wizard don't touch anything! Then one after another clockwise since the left top corner, press the most top left corner, then the most top right corner, then the bottom right corner, and at the end the bottom left corner!

Jan 8, 2014Ok so I rooted my LG Optimus F6 yesterday, I used root uninstaller to get rid of stock apps but by accident or careless I must have deleted LG setup wizard.. I later on that day Master Reset the phone and Now I can't get my phone to load up.. It turns on and brings me to LG setup wizard but says it unexpectedly stopped, I've tried hard resetting and I've went into safe mode and it brings up the message at the home screen, Home screen has unexpectedly stopped. Is there anything I can do to restore my phone back or somehow download setup wizard and install on to my phone from the PC. Also my PC isn't recognizing my phone so I can't even get into the files from the PC..

Mar 28, 2010Got my desire yesterday, having defected from Windows Mobile and spent all yesterday and today getting very frustrated! I successfully set up my various email accounts - except one which requires a SSL outgoing SMTP server on port 465. When I put the correct settings into the setup wizard it simply fails to complete the account setup. If I change any of the fields to an incorrect parameter, it gives an error but at least lets me save the settings and exit the wizard.
With the correct settings in place - it communicates with the server stating: "Verifying account information" and then promptly does nothing (it doesn't hang up, it just returns to the SMTP screen). The only way I can get out of the wizard is to enter an incorrect setting. This means that whilst receiving emails on this account is no problem, I am unable to reply to them or send any emails from this account. I know there is nothing wrong with my ISP (T-mobile uk) because I am using the same SIM from my Touch-pro where this account worked fine for the previous 18 months.
General :: SD 2nd Partition Doesn't Work - MiniTool Partition Wizard?
Oct 19, 2012I'm have been trying to create a second partition on my sd card using miniTool Partition Wizard.But in the end I never get a 2nd partition but just a smaller first one.My approach is as follows:
insert empty SD card (FAT32, 4GB)
open miniTool Partition Wizard
right click on SD card - "Move/Resize"
choose 1gb for unallocated space after - click ok
right click on 2nd partition and choose "create"
create 2nd partition with FAT32/Ext2/Ext3 (tried all options already) and "primary" and Cluster 4KB - click ok
Apply
Afterwards my SD card is still shown as one partition, but this has just 1gb less capacity then before.Neither the Wizard nor the phone detects the 2nd partition then.
Android :: Make A Wizard Like Application In Droid
Jun 18, 2009Which you think is the best way of doing a wizard like application (user can navigate between screens with a next and back button, and each screen has to save some state data) in Android platform.
I mainly can think in two approaches:
Having one activity+view for each screen and then i make the screen switch by calling each activity. What make this nice is that i can use the system back button as my back handler and i don't have to take care of that myself, aslo each activity will save it's own state.
Having one activity and many views, and what i switch views in each screen change, this helps me re-use more code, but makes saving states a mess.
What do you think? Which is the best way of doing this on Android?

Jul 13, 2010Well one of those things are a lie. The wizard might have started and I exited it by accident, as I turned on and off the phone after first start. I have done some form of reset by dialing *2767*3855# but I have not been able to do the factory reset by pressing the power button while holding the volume down button. Jan 17, 2010My Gmail account works great, and I have my aol and yahoo acounts set up no problem (well the yahoo was a little problem but got it to work so thats all that matters). I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

For one reason or another, I didn't make a backup copy of the key signature.
After fixing some bugs, I tried to sign the application again as an update, through Eclipse's export as a signed app wizard.
On the screen where the alias is usually selected, i get a message saying "Invalid Keystore Format."
My real issue is how to handle publishing the update as a new, separate application, with regard to the users who have already purchased the application.
Would I issue refunds for the original purchase for users that purchase the new, separate application?
HTC Incredible :: Can't Setup POP Account Through Setup Screen
Nov 8, 2010I was able to successfully setup a POP account through the Setup Screen...in fact when I go back through Setup, I still see the account. The problem is I can't DO anything with it in setup (including deleting it to start over) and it doesn't show up in my Apps window with an icon! I see it on the setup screen labeled "Setup Accounts" but no matter if I tap it or hold it or swipe it or try to hit the menu key, it just sits there. There is a green button with the checkmark in it. I guess what I would think i ought to be able to do is to assign it an icon (or even get a generic one) and find the account listed on my app screen...I'm willing to reset it, but I can't even delete it to start!

Oct 24, 2012setting up UCCW so how the widgets created should be inside the UCCW directory..some of the new clocks, battery bars, etc. I downloaded come with just a "UZIP" file, some come with a UZIP file & an image and some come with a whole directory that has weather images, fonts, etc. inside.
In the posts & threads I found previously that didn't really explain how to set up the new widgets, they just said "put everything inside the UCCWoutput folder"....
now, if one widget I download unzips to a folder with all that widgets' contents inside should I just put that folder inside the UCCWoutput folder?or do the fonts go into the "fonts" folder on the SD card and everything else go into the UCCWoutput folder?
right now I have almost everything placed in the UCCWoutput folder...no folder for images or files or font or separate folders for separate widgets....and only a few of the widgets show up when I try to add one to my screens...I thought maybe that each widget should have it's own folder but from what I read in previous posts I found the explanations were pretty vague...."put so-and-so inside the UCCWoutput folder"....that doesn't explain anything really since some widgets have 1 file and some have a UZIP file, a font file and a bunch of images...

Mar 6, 2012I'm looking for a way to automate the installation of applications, setting up the phone as in: placing shortcuts on the homescreen, changing various settings etc. It is on new phones, straight out of the box, so I don't think Titanium Backup is a solution. I'm wanting to automate the process as much as possible.
I've played a bit around with adb install, which works fine except that the applications I install are not registered as installed in the Market (can't uninstall or update them, only open).

Aug 26, 2013SGH-T589R (Samsung gravity Q). I've been trying to flash back to stock rom ever since I rooted my phone. I've used Odin 1.85 and Odin multi downloader but they all get stuck! Odin 1.85 gets stuck at setup connection...I've searched everywhere they all say, try a different computer, try a different usb port, try a different cord, try re-installing the drivers, close kies, run as administrator, uncheck protect ops.
I've even tried this: [URL] ...... The only progress I've ever gotten is Odin multidownloader getting stuck on amss download then boot.img download. Is my phone ruined or is there still a chance to fix it? I am in download mode as I can't get into recovery mode and it says in yellow text "Downloading..."

Dec 31, 2012I want to setup CM10 build environment on ubuntu. The only problem I have is I could not get 10GB bandwith to download CM10 source on the first repo sync.
Is it possible if I ask my friend to download it and copy it to DVD then I put it to my PC and will behave like as if I sync it online?
