I own rooted HTC Wildfire S. I had CM7.2 and it was great, i had no problems with it at all. I decided to install CM9, which should be better, but it won't work... The problem is: The CM9 logo shines at the start, but when i try to Touch the Android to begin, the table appears with "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped.". What should i do? I tried to Wipe cache, wipe dalvik, Factory reset, nothing worked.

i had a factory reset on my phone. But it keep stuck in activation wizard with an error, "The application setup wizard has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" . I can't bypassed the activation wizard and stuck there till now. Is there any stock ROM for this phone?

When you are in Setup wizard don't touch anything! Then one after another clockwise since the left top corner, press the most top left corner, then the most top right corner, then the bottom right corner, and at the end the bottom left corner!

Ok so I rooted my LG Optimus F6 yesterday, I used root uninstaller to get rid of stock apps but by accident or careless I must have deleted LG setup wizard.. I later on that day Master Reset the phone and Now I can't get my phone to load up.. It turns on and brings me to LG setup wizard but says it unexpectedly stopped, I've tried hard resetting and I've went into safe mode and it brings up the message at the home screen, Home screen has unexpectedly stopped. Is there anything I can do to restore my phone back or somehow download setup wizard and install on to my phone from the PC. Also my PC isn't recognizing my phone so I can't even get into the files from the PC..

View 4 Replies View RelatedGot my desire yesterday, having defected from Windows Mobile and spent all yesterday and today getting very frustrated! I successfully set up my various email accounts - except one which requires a SSL outgoing SMTP server on port 465. When I put the correct settings into the setup wizard it simply fails to complete the account setup. If I change any of the fields to an incorrect parameter, it gives an error but at least lets me save the settings and exit the wizard.
With the correct settings in place - it communicates with the server stating: "Verifying account information" and then promptly does nothing (it doesn't hang up, it just returns to the SMTP screen). The only way I can get out of the wizard is to enter an incorrect setting. This means that whilst receiving emails on this account is no problem, I am unable to reply to them or send any emails from this account. I know there is nothing wrong with my ISP (T-mobile uk) because I am using the same SIM from my Touch-pro where this account worked fine for the previous 18 months.
After some googling, i saw this has happened before, i had it for first time 2-3 days ago. It just stopped updating, when i try to open it, it crashes, i cant remove my accounts from it because it crashes, clearing of cache didnt help, reboot also does not help.

Do I have to set up folders on the card such as Music, Photos, Videos etc., or do I just pile all my files on the card and the phone then sorts out what's what?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm have been trying to create a second partition on my sd card using miniTool Partition Wizard.But in the end I never get a 2nd partition but just a smaller first one.My approach is as follows:
insert empty SD card (FAT32, 4GB)
open miniTool Partition Wizard
right click on SD card - "Move/Resize"
choose 1gb for unallocated space after - click ok
right click on 2nd partition and choose "create"
create 2nd partition with FAT32/Ext2/Ext3 (tried all options already) and "primary" and Cluster 4KB - click ok
Apply
Afterwards my SD card is still shown as one partition, but this has just 1gb less capacity then before.Neither the Wizard nor the phone detects the 2nd partition then.
When I hit the "phone" button on my HTC wildfire it brings up all my contacts on both my SIM card and in the phone memory. Is there anyway that I can see just the SIM card contacts as it shows up all of my contacts twice! When I hit the HTC people button it will just bring up a list of each contact only once, but this takes a few seconds to load.

I mainly can think in two approaches:
Having one activity+view for each screen and then i make the screen switch by calling each activity. What make this nice is that i can use the system back button as my back handler and i don't have to take care of that myself, aslo each activity will save it's own state.
Having one activity and many views, and what i switch views in each screen change, this helps me re-use more code, but makes saving states a mess.
What do you think? Which is the best way of doing this on Android?
I bought myself the HTC Wildfire about a week back. I have a few questions regarding the wallpaper and the lock screen resolution.
The Wildfire screen resolution is 240x320. What should the ideal resolution be for my lock screen and wallpaper images?
When I set a 240x320 image as wallpaper or lock screen it appears very pixelated. However, when using resolutions of 640x480 and above, the wallpaper looks great but the lock screen is still pixelated. Also, when selecting the lock screen image I can't select the whole thing. Parts always get cropped.
Somehow the HTC backgrounds that are present on the phone don't look as pixelated although they are of a lower resolution.
I bought an HTC Wildfire. And I cant turn its internet sharing option on . I also did download and install drivers and applications of htc from htc official site.

I have a 1 day old wildfire and have an annoying problem with my apps and widgets disappearing from the main screens. The apps and widgets that go are the one I put on it myself. It then replaces them with the one that are on the phone from new.

At the moment my software number is 1.14.110.1 and I know that there's an update to 1.25.405.1. But when I want to check for Software updates it says that there are none. What might be the problem?
Is it possible that the phone is still branded but without a sim-lock? Because I get T-Mobile start up screen,but use whole other SIM and there's no T-Mobile in the country i'm from.
what's the best video format to use on the Wildfire? I have successfully used 3GP, but, the quality isn't that good.According to the official HTC website, it supports MP4 and WMV, I tried converting an .avi to MP4 using OJO Soft Total Video converter, transferred it to phone, it shows up in the Gallery, but, when I try to play it, it just displays a static picture and plays the audio. Also, the only way to put it off, is to take the battery out as the phone totally freezes!

But then i started browsing different contracts, and found a 10/15 a month 24m cntracts, with reasonable packages
So at the end of 24 months, either by buying for simfree or doin contract it'd cost me similar amount of money..
So im not sure what to do? what do you think would be the best option and cheaper? what have u got? and if no then what would u do if u wer in my position ?
I have a nokia bluetooth car kit that supports voice dialing, my ancient nokia 6230i had voice dialing and I miss it on my wildfire. I see from some other threads that this seems to be an issue. Has there been any update on voice dialing on the lastest wildfire or are there any apps that enable voice dialing?

I wanted to get away from itunes/ Apple altogether.I have had a go at media monkey but it is a long way off filling my needs.But I have found Sony's Media Go.Media Go: Download - Sony Media Software and Services Inc.It is not perfect by a long shot but at least my Wildfire can use the playlists it creates and does a nice job on getting my podcasts in some kind of order.
The thing I miss most from my itunes/iphone setup is play count and ability to manage the correct placement of folders on the wildfire.Please can we have a discussion on your setup on this matter and what you peeps use for your media management.
Well one of those things are a lie. The wizard might have started and I exited it by accident, as I turned on and off the phone after first start. I have done some form of reset by dialing *2767*3855# but I have not been able to do the factory reset by pressing the power button while holding the volume down button. View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen i recently installed an app (Launcher Pro) and i wanted to restart my phone to clear everything an restart all the services, so i held down the standby button and selected shutdown.Whilst it was shutting down i was turning the screen on and off (really i dont know what i was doing) and it came up something similar to what i found here but it didn't shutdown just went straight to that screen.Accept it didn't say s-off, (and had a little android robot skating )
