i installed a custom ROM an i flashed recovery an everything but when he phone starts up the whole setup process forcecloses an it keeps forceclosing and i cant even do anything!

I own rooted HTC Wildfire S. I had CM7.2 and it was great, i had no problems with it at all. I decided to install CM9, which should be better, but it won't work... The problem is: The CM9 logo shines at the start, but when i try to Touch the Android to begin, the table appears with "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped.". What should i do? I tried to Wipe cache, wipe dalvik, Factory reset, nothing worked.

When you are in Setup wizard don't touch anything! Then one after another clockwise since the left top corner, press the most top left corner, then the most top right corner, then the bottom right corner, and at the end the bottom left corner!
Ok so I rooted my LG Optimus F6 yesterday, I used root uninstaller to get rid of stock apps but by accident or careless I must have deleted LG setup wizard.. I later on that day Master Reset the phone and Now I can't get my phone to load up.. It turns on and brings me to LG setup wizard but says it unexpectedly stopped, I've tried hard resetting and I've went into safe mode and it brings up the message at the home screen, Home screen has unexpectedly stopped. Is there anything I can do to restore my phone back or somehow download setup wizard and install on to my phone from the PC. Also my PC isn't recognizing my phone so I can't even get into the files from the PC..

View 6 Replies View RelatedGot my desire yesterday, having defected from Windows Mobile and spent all yesterday and today getting very frustrated! I successfully set up my various email accounts - except one which requires a SSL outgoing SMTP server on port 465. When I put the correct settings into the setup wizard it simply fails to complete the account setup. If I change any of the fields to an incorrect parameter, it gives an error but at least lets me save the settings and exit the wizard.
With the correct settings in place - it communicates with the server stating: "Verifying account information" and then promptly does nothing (it doesn't hang up, it just returns to the SMTP screen). The only way I can get out of the wizard is to enter an incorrect setting. This means that whilst receiving emails on this account is no problem, I am unable to reply to them or send any emails from this account. I know there is nothing wrong with my ISP (T-mobile uk) because I am using the same SIM from my Touch-pro where this account worked fine for the previous 18 months.
Why does my music start up even if the phone is locked? It kills me everyday, my battery dies out because my Ally plays music all day long without me noticing it. Another, while I have your attention, and haven't looked around for the answer of this one: How do you keep your phone screen on during calls: Checking messages is a burden for me!

I don't want the start up sound playing. Even if the phone is on silent when I turn it off, the sound plays anyway. This seems like it should be a simple fix, but I have yet to see any change since the recent android update.
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe email account that I use on a regular basis is the email account that my high school set up for me. It is not an account that is organized with a bigger company such as google, yahoo, hotmail, etc. When I tried to set up my email account on my Droid ally, it asks me for a lot of detailed information about my server and then said it could not connect. I used to have a Blackberry Tour and it did not require any information other than username and password to set up an email account so I know my school does not have any restrictions on this type of thing.
Does anyone know what I should do? The Verizon store had no idea.
Beautiful Widgets force closes for me at least 20 times a day, it is so irritating. Anybody know why or a work around? Also widget locker doesn't seem to play nice with the lock screen on the fascinate. WHile charging I get a freeze and have to do a battery pull.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just installed Donut version 1.6 on my HTC Dream. The install went smoothly. But when I try to start my WiFi I get the "unable to start wifi" message. Never had a problem in 1.5. I see wpa_supplicant doesn't have access to others, I tried changing the permissions of the directories and wpa_supplicant.conf file to 777 but they keep getting set back again so that other doesn't have access. Do I need to set up a special user?
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhich you think is the best way of doing a wizard like application (user can navigate between screens with a next and back button, and each screen has to save some state data) in Android platform.
I mainly can think in two approaches:
Having one activity+view for each screen and then i make the screen switch by calling each activity. What make this nice is that i can use the system back button as my back handler and i don't have to take care of that myself, aslo each activity will save it's own state.
Having one activity and many views, and what i switch views in each screen change, this helps me re-use more code, but makes saving states a mess.
What do you think? Which is the best way of doing this on Android?
Well one of those things are a lie. The wizard might have started and I exited it by accident, as I turned on and off the phone after first start. I have done some form of reset by dialing *2767*3855# but I have not been able to do the factory reset by pressing the power button while holding the volume down button. It just won't work.You will find a duplicate thread on the SGS group in these forums, If you answer here please ignore it.

My LG Ally is stuck at the "VELOCITY" boot screen and is stuck in a loop. I had Velocity 0.3 flashed yesterday and I decided to re-flash today. I have tried wiping data/files/cache/dalvik cache. I'm stuck and I don't know what to do. Also I never did a Nandroid backup (because I'm slow).
View 16 Replies View RelatedMy Gmail account works great, and I have my aol and yahoo acounts set up no problem (well the yahoo was a little problem but got it to work so thats all that matters). I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI figured out how to full flash the LG Ally 740 to cricket but 3 out of every 5 phones I flash do not save the NV settings. When I go to manual programming (##program740 send) then select DATA. The MIP & DUN MIP settings always revert back to the default 0000000000@vzw3g.com settings. I've changed them in LGNPST,CDMA Workshop & QPST but still reverts back to VZW. It's rooted and tried several different ROM's to fix the problem. Could it be the kernel? If anyone can help, please let me know.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBefore applying the Turbo4 ROM, I ran Linpack to get a base number so I can compare it with the number I get after I apply Turbo4. I got a 4.188. The phone is rooted with many of the stock apps removed running the Zeam Launcher, but no other custom ROMS.
Is that a pretty good number to start with? It was higher than I was expecting because most linpack scores i've read about are in the 3's.
