how can i change the main icon on my statue bar i tried the xtheme engine and other xposed apps but it changes only the wifi and the battry and other things ... i am locking for change my signals icons .. .i have dous phone i want to change them both .. is there any way to change them and is there a tweek to remove the sim icon ?

Now, I can't see the STK icon in main menu, even though the RIL has sent the message "RIL_UNSOL_STK_PROACTIVE_COMMAND" about SET UP MENU to upper App layer. View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my 0.8 Desire from a guide on here. This seemed to go as the guide said it would. I then followed another guide to install the radio and sence froyo. This also seemed to go to plan. It wiped all my data and apps but I re-installed Mybackup pro and got everything back

When I press on the icon now it gives me the choice to replace it with a custom icon and that is what I would like to do. I actually would like to use the icon for the default calendar (on my Bionic) for the icon for this app but I can not seem to locate the calendar icon.

I made some changes to the status bar and for the most part it went smooth other than the signal icon. I have a D3 with the Eclipse 3 rom. I used Ninjamorph went into framework , apps, systemui.apk and changed the png files of the signal bar png's. when I reboot the new image shows up but changes back to the old style when the 3g or 1x kicks in. do I need to change a different signal png?

I want keep them as separate Google contact entries.But the problem is that the name that the linking software has chosen to represent the account is the one for the SMS-email (e.g. "Bob Smith SMS Email").I want the name that I see in various contact lists to just be "Bob Smith".The thing is that the account with the normal email and phone number is the one set as the default, so I know the Droid is not picking up the name of the default account and using it as the "main" name.I remember once, when I was linking and unlinking accounts, that it asked me what name to use as the main name.But I can't figure out how to get back to that.

However, wandering around here and asking a lot of stupid questions and getting most answered with a great deal of patience has led me to wonder: 1) Can you get scrolling calendars other than the Sense one, without rooting? (I can't find any - I like the CalWidget big one, but it wont scroll). 2) Can you do anything to the main appearance other than change the background, without rooting? I've seen talk about the app 'OpenHome' - but on the market it's marked with low stars as buggy. 3) On 2 - can you remove the names from below the icons? Change the icons (e.g. with a theme) - without putting things into folders? 4) Can you remove options without rooting? E.g. my photo sharing (I've returned to the basic app, as gallery had a few bugs, e.g. with the camera) has 12 options to share (I had more, but I uninstalled different twitter apps and got rid of a few - I still have two facebook shares, peep and tridroid etc), which means scrolling through to find. On the gallery app, which had no scroll for sharing options, some were pushed off the screen. Is there a way to limit it just to the ones I'd use?

What I need is a way for any changes that were made to be communicated back to the main Activity as soon as the preference is activated. At the moment the only way I could get it working is by using the intent data that gets sent back when the prefs activity closes but this isn't really enough. The reason why it needs to be instantaneous is that one of the preferences is a 'Clear cache' button, so I would like the data to be deleted when the user requests it and no later!

Try the following for instance: 1) Open an app 2) Click on something that takes you to another activity in the same app 3) Press the home button 4) Press and hold the home button to get the recent list of apps - select the app you chose in step 1 5) You'll be taken to whatever activity in that app is specified as the main/launcher Activity, rather than the Activity on top of the stack (as it was previously) It makes it appear to the user that the application has exited when the home screen button was pressed. I don't have my app set to clear history on launch or anything like that, and I can replicate it on the emulator and with any app on my device (Contacts, Gmail, Engadget etc) Anyone else notice this? Anyone know any reason for the changes? I must admit I quite dislike the new method.
