We have 2 Eris Droids in our house, when I download something it also shows up in the other droid in the house which is the main phone line for our verizon account. Is there anyway to change that or no?

So i just got off the phone with a customer service rep from Verizon and was telling them about my issues because i'm on my 3rd replacement phone, and the 3rd one that just got sent out today is even worser then the ones i had to have replace, i told the rep that i wanted a new model phone, and all they could tell me was that well we'll have to just replace it with the same model, and if you're wanting to get a new model phone you would have to pay for it.How are some of you members getting the Moto Droid without any charges?? Do you guys just get nice reps? Because the rep i got was just a D*ck he wouldn't listen to what i was trying to say and kept cutting me off.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some strange reason I can't seem to set-up my personal e-mail account on this Droid phone. I click on "e-mail", I type in my e-mail address and my password, and then I click "next". And then I get a message that says my username and/or password does not match. But I am positive it does, as I have gone online to test it. I have tried retyping my username and passwrod over and over again without any success. I can't get passed that screen.
I have Verizon FiOS at my house, so my e-mail is set-up through Verizon/Yahoo.
I'm thinking of fixing my motorolla droid so I can give it to my dad so he can use it's wifi ability to do some stuff. He wouldn't be signing up with Verizon. Is it possible to use the phone without a Verizon account (no calling obviously but everything else)?

I am currently not rooted, but will be doing so in the next few days (I'm still trying to decide what ROM i want to flash to start out). View 14 Replies View RelatedSo, I've been having issues with my Droid X and downloads in the Market not starting, I've had to do a few data resets to fix the problem. I recently called Verizon complaining and they sent me out a replacement Droid X. The first app that I installed was Launcher Pro and then downloaded quite a few more apps. A few hours later I tried download more apps and they have again gotten stuck on "starting download". I called Verizon tech support and explained what was going on, he then proceeded to tell me that he can guarantee that Launcher Pro is the cause of the problems and that I need to delete it. He claims that it does not work properly with the X. I told him that I got an X on July 1 and did not have a problem with the Market until recently and he again said that LP is causing the problem. Has anyone else heard of this, it makes no sense at all.

Also whenever I do something like browse the Internet or run pandora and play a game my phone freezes and then shuts off. Is this all direct result of 2.2?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought my Droid on line via Phandroid/Verizon Wireless just after midnight on Friday and filled out all the info, picked a Verizon plan, gave them my current cell number (which is an AT&T Mobile number) and checked the boxes that said "yes, please port my old number on to my new Verizon phone".
So I get the phone today (superfast -- I hadn't even paid for overnight delivery). But when I follow the instructions to activate, the activation fails. I touch the Droid on the touchscreen, it brings up the phone, I follow the voice prompts and dial my cell number, but it doesn't work.
Spoke with a VW customer service rep (late night Saturday night). He gave me a different customer service # to call on Sunday for help with "porting."
I sure hope I get this straightened out quickly. Maybe I should've just bought the Droid at a Verizon store and let the VW store guys activate it for me.
The VW customer service rep was saying I should see a "temporary Verizon cell #" somewhere on my receipt or packing slip. But there isn't any. Just the mobile # that I'm trying to port over from AT&T.
Did I do something wrong when I ordered the phone? Or is it normal for there to be a delay in getting the old # ported?
I had to have a factory reset a couple of weeks ago and did not realize at the time that it made a difference which Gmail account was entered first. I really need to set a different account as the 'primary', but the only option for doing this seems to be another factory reset which will be a real PITA since I just got everything reloaded and the phone is running pretty well. I saw some instructions on another part of this forum which said that you could delete the data from Google Apps, but that is not an option and the other options (e.g., clear cache) are dimmed.

View 26 Replies View RelatedSo I returned my Eris today.The battery issues had been pretty much contained.I could get a full day out of a charge, but the lag was terrible.I had it all over the place despite running task killer, spare parts, clearing cache, etc.Then the phone started to get wacky. It would freeze with black screens when switching to home.Sometimes when going to home, I would get a black screen with an HTC logo displayed for about 20 seconds, then it would show Sense UI loading for about 10 seconds (dimmed picture, loading logo, no applications).Also, I would have periods where I could not switch between screens.The dialer was ridiculously laggy as well. I would press end, and the phone wouldn't end for about 5 seconds. Dialing the phone sometimes I would have a 1-2 second delay when pressing buttons.
View 12 Replies View Relatedi have a deadspot on my screen in the bottom left hand corner. so anytime i want to hit the Shift button or type "z" or "c" i have turn my phone sideways. then as soon as i start typing that way i have to turn my sideways again to type "m" or hit the NUM button.i signed a 2 year contract with Verizon after they convinced me to buy the Eris instead of the MotoDroid. after this one it will be my 3RD Eris. the earpiece in the first one died within a month and this one is the buggiest, slowest, most horrible batter life ever phone (not to mention a dead spot in the screen). are there any chances they'll upgrade me to a better phone and this p.o.s.? or when you bring it in to get it replaced do they just ship you a new crappy Eris?

When I send the phone back to them, should I put Leak V3 on the phone so that the numbers match up better, or do you guys think it will matter? Should I somehow just erase that HBOOT thing off of the phone and just send it to them all bricked? I'm trying to hide evidence of leak installation as best as possible so that they don't decide to charge me or something for the replacement. input Good news is my wife is finally getting a new phone after I jacked it up with the leak.

As of now, my cal and contacts are syncing fine but I do not use the e-mail account that is associated with thier username. I have my other account (personal e-mail) set up sepeartely....along with a few other e-mail accounts(work and etc.). I would like to know if i can leave my cal and contacts setup on the regular droid sync account but change the e-mail account to my personal acct. so it will "push" by default with out having it in a seperate palce on the droid.
