View 12 Replies View RelatedI happily switched from my Seidio Innocase to the Droid Commuter Case, and I have had it for about a month now. I really enjoy the case, but I have noticed that the sides of the back part of the case tend to give and squeek alot if I put pressure on them. Not sure how to explain that better, but hope that makes sense to some of you guys. Anyone else with this case notice a similar issue?

View 7 Replies View RelatedFirst one broke 2 weeks ago I don't know what from but I've never dropped the phone with the case on and next thing I know I took it out of my pocket and the face plate was broken in the top right corner.This evening as I was walking home with my phone and case on it that I just got replaced about 5 days ago I dropped my phone screen down first, I thought it was done. Luckily it was safe though again the face plate is broken on my case.
I'm getting yet another replacement from Otterbox which is good..Really wish I could get a refund or voucher to use on their site for the cost of the case.
So, another thread about cases got me looking around again and I went to otterbox.com to see if there was any news of them developing a Droid case. Much to my surprise they have, and it's coming soon! I still want a Defender case, but the Commuter is a nice series as well.DROID by Motorola Commuter Series Case // OtterBox.com What is nice about this though, the Otterbox case has plugs for all the ports on the Droid to keep out dust/ water and is made from a three layer protective material that absorbs shock fairly well, yet remaining slender. If you've ever dealt with their iPhone cases, you know how awesome they are.

View 45 Replies View RelatedSaw this in the store today and thought about getting it. It looks like it's made of something like aluminum or a cheap version of it. Fairly inexpensive, too. Just wondering if anyone has used this case. I like my Seidio Innocase just fine but looking for a change. My concern is how it snaps on and whether or not it would damage the case in the spots where it holds onto the phone. I am also wondering how the paint job holds up. Just curious. I'd post a pic but it's not on the verizon website and I can't find anything similar on ebay. This one doesn't have a bezel that goes all the way around the front of the phone.

What makes them different/better than the hard case I got off of eBay. Serious question. I have used the cheap screen protectors off of eBay and I don't like them as well. Might as well go ahead and spend the dollars each for OEM ones lol.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI got an Otterbox (IMPACT) case for my wife's Droid Eris. I have verified that when the case is on, the proximity sensor does not operate at all. Take case off, works fine. Case is on correctly (there's not a whole lot of ways to have it on wrong). Pressing it harder onto my head (which one shouldn't have to do) or holding it farther away don't help, either. Does the other Otterbox case do this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI currently have the leather snap on case that VZW sells, the little plastic clips that snap it on break way too easily so I am looking at higher quality cases and especially the Seidio and Otterbox cases. The Otterbox case looks higher quality IMO and also probably more protective. I just want to be sure that the plastic clips will not break and let the case fall off every 5 minutes. Any opinions would be helpful.

So... how easy is this? Is there a recommended phone or small range of phones within my price bracket? And... are there disadvantages, and do I get automatic updates and stuff? I'm a fairly heavy medium-term Linux and Ubuntu user but this is my first adventure with Android!
My camera key is loose, English, and wiggle. Looks cheap to say the least. Especially when compared to the rest of the structurally sound phone. I don't remember my first droid being this way.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I flashed XTRSense4.0.6.1 to both mine and my wife's Eris. My phone has been running great with no problems whatsoever. This afternoon my wife calls me freaking out because her contacts have disappeared... all of them. She said they were all there this morning and all of a sudden they're just gone. I told her to go to Settings, Accounts/Sync, and to Sync Google but that didn't help. She rebooted her phone, synced again and still nothing. Finally I walked her through the process of rebooting into recovery mode, wiping cache, doing a factory reset, and finally a NAND restore which got her back to pre-XTRSense and all her contacts came back without issue. What could have caused this issue and what can I do to prevent future occurrences? I'd really like to flash XTRSense back to her phone because it seemed to fix her other issues but not if its going to cause more problems than it fixes.
