General :: Get Working Steaming Audio To Wireless And Wired Headphones Simultaneously?
Nov 2, 2013
is that possible (at least theoretically) to get working steaming audio to wireless and wired headphones simultaneously [Android 4]? It doesn't matter, if you steam the whole system sound or just sound of single program (for example music player). The idea is to get audio output on 2 devices at the same time. If that is not possible, can confirm possibility to steam audio using A2DP to 2 separate headsets? I've met some old devices (for example samsung cell phones on their own OS) which allowed to select multiple bluetooth devices as clients and steam music from the player simultaneously to multiple headsets.

I have a rooted ICS tablet with wireless and RJ45 ethernet which both work well on their own. However once the Wifi is turned on and connected the lan is unusable. The lan (eth0) doesn't even list under ifconfig when the wifi is connected. For example... (loopback device removed from each) With wifi on (and connected) and no ethernet cable plugged in. Static Lan config details entered.
# ifconfig

I am running Android version 2.3.7 on a Samsung Infuse
Due to water damage my phone no longer recognizes when a headset is plugged in or not, and thus always thinks that it is plugged in.
I have found an app that forced the audio to play through the speakers of the phone, but i am unable to find an app that does the opposite which is forcing the audio through the headset.
The app that does the opposite of what i need says it does 4 things:
Headset false
A2DP false
SCO false
Speakerphone false
I also realize there are widgets that can accomplish forcing the plug/unplugging of the audio, but i really need a very simple app that forces the audio to headset when opened. (i need the app instead of a widget to use it with tasker and other things, widget is very limiting.)
if it could be done through tasker that would be great too.

I have an .avi file with a 5.1 audio stream, but the stream is messed up - most of the sound is coming out of the FR channel, because it was improperly encoded from a mono or stereo source. I can watch the video ok on a pc if I use gomplayer and set up AC3 decoder to downmix to mono - the audio from all channels is mixed and played through L and R channels of headphones.
The Question is:
Does android have an app or a plugin to downmix to mono audio, for Nexus 7?
I know Voodoo control panel can do this, but it doesn't work with N7.
I also tried a number of players - mx player, mobo player pro, moboplayer, dice player, vplayer, rock player lite, bs player. There may have been a few more I don't recall at the moment.None of these players have the option to downmix to mono.

I just got my EVO and so far, I love it. I have a question about Tethering. It says that Sprint will charge $30/month for using this feature, yet I see it available in the system settings. So if I turn it on, i'll start getting charged, or will it simply not work? (either wired or wireless).

Is it only possible for one object to access the microphone at a time? That is, could I simultaneously use an AudioRecord to do some audio processing and use a MediaRecorder to record the incoming audio?

I want to buy a pair of gaming headphones that I can use to play games and talk on vent at the same time, which bluetooth currently cannot do AFAIK its one or the other. So that leaves wireless USB. Having said this, it would be nice if the same headset could be used on my EVO through the micro usb, perhaps using this adapter:
Amazon.com: Pro-Techgroup USB A Female to Micro B Male - converts the USB A male.
My question is, do you think this will work correctly or is the MICRO USB just for charging and plugging in? I get the feeling it would need to install drivers or something. Also, I realize I could get a pair of wired headphones to do plug into the top but the whole purpose is to have wireless.

I got an S3 clone and the phone works fine but when I woke up this morning, I come to find out the audio stopped working. All audio function works when I plug in the headphones though (dialer, video, etc) Is there anything I can do to fix it? I've tried resetting, plugging and unplugging headphones, *#0*# (it says connection problems or invalid mmi).

Haven't been around these parts in awhile, but news of the update brought me back. I have a question about an issue I've had since day 1, but always just kind of accepted. When I listen with headphones to podcasts, music, etc. I get weird signal noise. It's most noticeable when listening to podcasts/talk as there is lots of room to hear the noise on the line. It's like low little hums, "chirps," not totally sure how to describe it. Just not a clean, clear silence when there should be silence. I've used different headphones, definitely not anything there. I'm wondering if this is a known issue, a problem with some handsets, fixable, etc.?

Ok we all know that our evo music playback on headphones is ridiculously low especially if you coming from the iPhone, but today I found Astro player beta which have some good equalizer that can boots your audio output to new level, even louder than the iPhone 4 output with the same headphones,so try it out and keep in mind its still in beta stage so it force close a lot but it doesn't affect music playback when it does that.

I have had my Droid since release day, and I am still carrying an iPod Touch as well. My problem is that I keep getting problems with audio playback using headphones with an inline remote. For me, it is absolutely essential to be able to pause/play audio when out and about. People talk to me, I get up to the checkout stand, etc. And, the process of pulling the phone out, swiping it on, getting to the app and pressing pause just won't work. Headphones with inline remotes are the only thing that really work for me.
The problem is that the Droid can't seem to play nicely with these remotes. The volume controls never work at all, and sometimes the pause/play works, sometimes it acts like a skip to the next track. Sometimes it just freaks out and starts cycling through my various audio apps (Listen, Pandora, the stock music app) and then eventually freezes. Has anyone found a workable way to do what I want? I need to be able to pause and play audio while the phone is entirely stashed away.

Anyone get the stock HTC tethering function to work? I installed the latest sync software from HTC, and my phone works great with sync and SD card up/download. But when I want to connect my computer to the internet via the phone I turn on network sharing and see the phone listed in network connections but it just says "acquiring network address" forever and I dont seem to be able to connect. I'm on an unbranded legend bought and used in Taiwan, unlimited 3G, Windows xp sp3.

Running Fab's NexTheme ROM that has Wired and Wireless Tether. Problem is Wired Tether doesn't work for me. The program runs without a problem, but my laptop that is connected to the Droid via USB cable doesn't access the Internet. Drivers and what not are all updated - just curious to know what the problem is. Funny thing is that when connected via USB normally, my laptop recognizes my Droid with no problem. It's only when I run the Wired Tether program that all of a sudden my laptop no longer recognizes my phone and, as a result, won't access the Internet.

I have a HTC ONE SV with Beats Audio speakers. I really love to listen to music so I bought a pair of Beats By Dre tour earbuds. They worked perfectly for about 2 months and then suddenly they stopped working with my phone. I plugged them into my iPod touch and they worked perfectly. I plugged a pair of SkullCandy earbuds into my HTC ONE SV and they worked perfectly as well. I tried the cotton swab cleaning method but that didn't work. I also tried the paperclip method to no avail.

When my hero was on 1.5, normal stereo headphones attached worked a-ok if I used the toggleheadset app. Now I have upgraded to 2.1, when I attach the headphones it automatically detects them but sends the volume down to vibrate... if I try to increase the volume using the volume switch it either tries to increase but forces it back down again or shoots up to maximum... Anyone else had this issue and how did you resolve it? I have removed the toggle app above, and I have restarted the phone. Also, when I attached the headphones sometimes the phone just goes into vibrate mode and stays that way... i.e. it just continoulsy vibrates until I press the home key.

MusicFX is working no longer. wen i choose sound effects in default ICS music Player. it Says "Unfortunately MusicFX stopped Working". i tried Clearing Cache and Data of Both Music player and MusicFX but nothing works. After putting a lot of thought into how to best backup my photos and videos while on the move, I decided that a tablet would be the best solution.
Now, I will shoot quite a lot of HD video in the near future, which means that even a 64GB tablet won't be large enough. Solution: Backup on a second SD-Card!
So right now I am waiting for the Acer A510 (with support for USB-OTG).
Can a Dual-SD-Reader like the one linked below will be working on Android, so both SD cards can be mounted at the same time?
[URL] .....
I know that I could also go SD->Tablet->Backup SD, but direct copy would make life much easier.

Is there a pair of in the ear headphones with mic that's in between the apple headphones and bose ones? I've looked into the bose headphones, but that's alot of money to go into some wired headphones.. Does anyone have them, can you say they're worth getting for that cash? I use my phone alot for music, so good headphones are important.
