Is there an app that hides the softkeys? I want the status bar to be visible but the softkeys should be hidden. (I am working with gestures).
I have encountered a problem on several different android phones. calendars are disappearing if I install+uninstall the Google Calendar App (the official one)
Steps to reproduce:
-install some calendar app (i.e. Business calendar)
-install Google Calendar
-make sure that your google calendars are shown correctly in both apps.
-uninstall google calendar
Now the calendars have disappeared from the other calendar app and there is no way to add them again (they are not showing up in the list).I have seen the problem on Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Note3, Nexus4+5, HTC One
Installing the Google calendar app again makes it possible to first re-enable the calendars in Google Calendar app and then they are again possible to add in the other calendar apps.
Is there a way to fix this without having to have the google calendar app installed (dont want it installed as it is a huge BatteryHog using 30-40% of my battery for "StartingAlarmService").
I'm looking for an Xsposed module that hides the keyboard input selector from the status bar. I know some custom ROMs have this but I'm looking for one that works on stock android.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a galaxy nexus and I am wondering if there is a way to permanently hide the Softkeys whilst retaining the status bar (yes I know about expanded desktop). I use LMT's PIE feature to navigate and I find it much more useful. I personally like PIE better so I have more screen space.

View 3 Replies View RelatedReceived my Ulefone U7 yesterday and so far impressed. Intention is to use in my car to replace the OEM satnav. To do this, I need to enable the softkeys/navigation bar as the physical buttons will be behind the dash.
I've rooted OK and have so far tried what I thought would work..
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 in build.prop
Xposed and as many modules as I can find!
Play store apps like softkeys enabler
So far, no soft keys
To enable softkeys on my Samsung Note 10.1 2014 I had to install a custom ROM. Do I need a custom ROM?
Thee Ulefone U7 is the same as other MTK6592 phones I believe, can I use one of those ROMs?
I'm using the Note2 with the TW-based Digiblur rom and am having trouble when playing HTML5 player videos in the stock web browser. Any time a video plays, instead of timing out like they are supposed to, the navigation softkeys on the device stay lit while the video is playing. If I pause or stop the video, everything goes back to normal and the keys time out like they are supposed to. The problem is not present in any video player application, including the stock YouTube client.

Is there any way to turn down the brightness on the soft keys. Mine are annoyingly bright. Especially the menu key. The backlight on the menu key is really bright in the middle and fades out on the ends. I wish the used the symbol instead of spelling it out.

I have searched most of the places but couldn't find a solution, the problem is that the GTalk service monitor screen shows 'aid' and a couple of other texts but no device id or the registered email is shown.
In the past the code has worked for me but this time only developers know whats happening. I am very eagerly waiting to download new apps from the store but this hurdle has got me for now.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app manager that will allow me to organize and push install apps to my android device. Google Play's web interface doesn't really allow me to do anything but manually scroll through the hundreds of apps that I have installed over the years...very time consuming. I'm familiar with TiBu and friends, but that's not really what I'm after right now. I'd like to be able to group my apps and install those groups to my phone. I'm pretty much tied to Google Play, I know there are alternative stores but I'm not wanting to go that route right now.
Just being able to sort apps into folders and install folders all through a web app (or PC/MAC GUI) would work.
