Oct 8, 2010Just rooted my DInc, trying to install ROMs using ROM Manager v2.5.0.3 but every time I select "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery" I get an error message stating: "Error while downloading from server. Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection, and that your SD card is inserted and has free space!" I have about 25gb left on the SD card which is most definitely inserted. Plus I have full 3g and have no problem downloading and installing ROM Manager as I reinstalled several times. Any way to fix this or do i have to install ROMs manually?

Sep 11, 2010So I flashed back to sbf then rooted. Now I downloaded ROM manager and tried to boot into clockwork recovery through it to update back to 2.2. Well, every time I click "reboot into recovery", it just restarts my phone. I've tried clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling rom manager but nothing will boot into recovery. I've tried downgrading to a different clockwork mod recovery, but it gives me the error message "an error occured while downloading your recovery".

Jun 25, 2010I just got HTC Incredible, but am still using my blackberry storm and need to for another week or so - do not want to convert prior to the company moving to google mail. Anyhow, I managed to skip the activation and am playing with the phone on WiFi only - problem - I would love to play with some apps, but cannot figure how to get them to my phone! Googling it did not help me, and all I can see is what the apps are, not how to download them. Going into the "Market" app gives me "A server error occurred".
How the heck can I get some apps and play more with the phone prior to activating with Verizon. So far I am rather impressed with this device! Seems like the hardware/OS works very nice! Browsing, doing email some other things over WiFi is blazing fast, and in general the phone interface seems very nice and intuitive! Way better than by BB Storm! Sorry if the answers are out there - I just did not manage to find the right ones.

Apr 20, 2013When I first got my new phone it downloaded a random .apk through chrome and installed it. I hadn't given it permission to do anything so I completly reset the phone deleting all data. Then a few minutes ago I was on the Sun website ( a UK news website ) and it began to download a random .apk named 1234hws3.apk, again I never pressed anything or gave it permission so I managedto quickly reboot the phone hoping it would stop the Download. But I turned it back on and it said download complete and Avast Antivirus popped up saying it had detected a Trojan in the file and did I want to delete it. So obviously I let avast delete it and scanned it again and it came back all clear.
So the questions I have is why does it download these random .apk, is there anyway I can stop it, and can I assume my phone is clean? By the way my phone is not rooted.

Apr 18, 2012I noticed a file was downloaded to my Samsung Galaxy S2 whilst the phone wasn't in use with the screen off and locked. I've attached a screenshot of the download to show the file name.
The same file was downloaded again approximately ten minutes later, again without instruction.I then ran AVG which didn't identify anything (the Settings Security Issue is having USB Debugging switched on)..I recently restored my applications using Titanium Back Up after flashing a new ROM.
