Aug 29, 2010Just like the topic says. I had Froyo Android 2.2 and did do a successful download to android 2.1 and everything works but the market. Occasionally it will download a app or two but then it just gets stuck and never will download anything. I'm guessing this has something to do with being on 2.2 then downgrading to 2.1. It is a google server issue or something on my phone?

Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection, and that your SD card is inserted and has free space!" I have about 25gb left on the SD card which is most definitely inserted. Plus I have full 3g and have no problem downloading and installing ROM Manager as I reinstalled several times. Any way to fix this or do i have to install ROMs manually?

Mar 30, 2010I have only had my phone for a few days and i'm starting to have some problems with downloading apps. At first I had no problems I downloaded 8 or 9 of them and they installed fine. Then I was not able to download anymore. Each one I tried to download said "download failed and did not install. When I looked at my status bar it showed 10 or 12 apps that did not download. So I did a factory reset and cleared everything out and started again. The same thing happens I get 5 or 6 and then the rest give my error saying not downloaded and not installed. So again I did a factory reset and tried again and came across the same prob. I got a few and then no more. I do not have a data plan yet. So I'm just using the wifi in my house. The ones that did not download i left them over night thinking they might get done by morning but no luck.

Feb 21, 2010I'm a new HTC Hero owner - just bought the phone yesterday. I have downloaded apps from the Android Market, but last night and today, my phone will get into a state where I will select an app to download, it will tell me to watch the notification bar for download status, and nothing will happen. If I select the app in the store to look at the download progress, it just says: "downloading...." with the animated bar, but never downloads. I tried turning off the phone and turning it back on, and that seemed to correct the problem for one download, but then subsequent downloads won't start up. I have barely installed any apps on it, and I'm not really sure what the problem is. Is this a known issue with the Android Market, or do I have something wrong with my phone? Has anyone else encountered this and know why it's happening?

When I try to cancel the downloads, market simply offers the "Sorry! the application market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again." pop up.Along with those problems, I tend to get a security update change notification at least 2 or 3 times for the email application (not the google one) every time I restart my phone.After searching forums the first day I encountered these problems (when I got the bb update) I decided to just ignore the problems until people had time on their own with their new setup.
