HTC Hero :: Error Downloading Apps
Dec 6, 2009i have selected 3 apps i would like to add to my new hero. i am very new to these types of phone and i am learning slowly.how ever the apps i have selected to download are still showing "Starting Download" and that's it. its been like this for about 9 hours. can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong or what i have missed

Feb 12, 2014I'm having an issue on my poor old Samsung S2. Suddenly I am not able to download certain apps in the google play store because they are not available in my country. I live in the U.S. and have always had this phone in the U.S. so I'm not sure why it suddenly started giving me this message. Currently the app I am trying to download is Guess the 90's which I know is available in the U.S. Is there an easy fix for this that does not involve rooting my phone or calling google support? Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection, and that your SD card is inserted and has free space!" I have about 25gb left on the SD card which is most definitely inserted. Plus I have full 3g and have no problem downloading and installing ROM Manager as I reinstalled several times. Any way to fix this or do i have to install ROMs manually?

Sep 11, 2010So I flashed back to sbf then rooted. Now I downloaded ROM manager and tried to boot into clockwork recovery through it to update back to 2.2. Well, every time I click "reboot into recovery", it just restarts my phone. I've tried clearing cache, uninstalling and reinstalling rom manager but nothing will boot into recovery. I've tried downgrading to a different clockwork mod recovery, but it gives me the error message "an error occured while downloading your recovery".

Jun 25, 2010I just got HTC Incredible, but am still using my blackberry storm and need to for another week or so - do not want to convert prior to the company moving to google mail. Anyhow, I managed to skip the activation and am playing with the phone on WiFi only - problem - I would love to play with some apps, but cannot figure how to get them to my phone! Googling it did not help me, and all I can see is what the apps are, not how to download them. Going into the "Market" app gives me "A server error occurred".
How the heck can I get some apps and play more with the phone prior to activating with Verizon. So far I am rather impressed with this device! Seems like the hardware/OS works very nice! Browsing, doing email some other things over WiFi is blazing fast, and in general the phone interface seems very nice and intuitive! Way better than by BB Storm! Sorry if the answers are out there - I just did not manage to find the right ones.

This is driving me nuts, I seem to be unable to download app updates anymore. It attempts to download forever, the progress staying at zero, and eventually gives me error 495.
I tried Googling this, and attempted every solution I could find. I tried signing in and out of my google account, clearing the cache of ALL my apps, rebooting my phone, turning off my WiFi, and clearing more space. Nothing worked.

I cant Install any Apps from the Google Playstore, it get "Error 110" and i cannot install .apk's therefore my device is completely crippled. The newest addition is, that i cant even get into recovery mode anymore, i just get a black screen with some green or blueish lines

Wiping the device with the built in "Recovery" 2x
Factory Reset 2x -> Is not working anymore now
Wiping Cache
Creating a second Google account for the Playstore and trying this
Trying to update Firmware with KIES, but it says that "THIS DEVICES FIRMWARE CANNOT BE UPDATED WITH KIES" ...

Jul 31, 2010All of a sudden, yesterday, my apps won't download or update! I hit the update button (or download) and it exits me back into the home of the market place, and I wait. I wait. And I wait. Nothing. I look back on the page and it is stuck on "Starting download..." Also, the "Google Talk" solution won't work for me - Talk just exits back to the home screens when I touch the icon.

Aug 29, 2010Just like the topic says. I had Froyo Android 2.2 and did do a successful download to android 2.1 and everything works but the market. Occasionally it will download a app or two but then it just gets stuck and never will download anything. I'm guessing this has something to do with being on 2.2 then downgrading to 2.1. It is a google server issue or something on my phone?
