General :: Changing MP3 Album Art?

I have a certain group of mp3 files on my device for which I wish to change the album art image. I used a program called "mp3tag" to edit and save each file (from my computer) with the new cover image embeded in the tag info.
However, when I play these tracks the original album art still displays on both my music players (stock player and Just Playlists). If I go back and mount the device as an external drive and view these files again with mp3tag, it still shows the corrected/updated image.
why the correct imbeded cover art will not display when I play the files on my phone?

After changing my SD card with a larger one, my music album pictures on HTC music player/widget does not show anymore. I copied everything from my old SD card to the new one. Also, the new SD card have a different name from the old one. Old is labeled as 'Removable Disk' while new one is 'Kingston'. Also, album thumbs folder becomes empty (before it contains files from old album thumbs folder).

why to add album artwork into the album file to have it show up on the Droid? I have added albums that all have the artwork in the ID3 tag but a few just wont show on the device so I'm wondering if there's another way to add it into the folder on the SD card that will have it show up in the media player?

I recently moved a hundred or so photos off my phone but the thumbnails still show in the directory view of photo album. I can remove them one at a time, but it's tedious. I can't find a way to refresh it, and can't find the directory where the thumbnails are stored to wipe them out en masse .

Just purchased album washer from winamp (which grabs album art from grace note), I was wondering where the artwork goes and how can I remove it when desired?
I deleted the winamp database but the artwork is still there.
I have also used the stock HTC app to get album art (from gracenote again) and can't get rid of that artwork
why after getting the artwork it shows on other music apps but not others?
Do different apps look in different data bases?

I've recently bought a Nexus 7, and am loving my first taste of android having been heavily into iOS devices previously. I want to change the thumbnail picture displayed in the gallery app (I'd call that the 'key photo' from using apple products in the past). It seems to default to the first images in a particular album, I've tried various taps and swipes and looking in the app and album settings but can't find anything.

I just switched from iPhone to Android and I uploaded all my iTunes files to Google play. However, there were several books that got transferred and now when I try to shuffle my music all I get is mostly book tracks . I don't want to just delete them, cause they took a while to upload. Is there a way to get them out of my music and into my books?

So I rooted my HTC One X and installed TripNDroid's Jelly Bean ROM on it. I have played around with it for a while now and something is bugging me. Whenever I'm listening to music, the lockscreen changes to the album cover art. Finding nothing about this in my search through the Internet. Is there a way to disable this function without having to install a launcher or something similar?

Google music is for some reason downloading album art to my xperia play's internal storage instead of sd card. As you can guess, it's eating up ~100mb of my 400mb internal storage and the music files are still downloading to the sd card. Is there a way to make Google Play Music download album art to the sd card?

I recently uploaded my entire photo collection (19.500 photos) to Picasa / Google Photos in an effort to make my life a bit easier. Last year I did the same with my docs, music and videos. The idea is to remove the need for a M$ PC in my home, instead accessing all my content from the cloud via my Android units. So far it has worked wonderfully, and I'm really happy I did it. Earlier I used to make a photo collection or two each year of selected photos using a PC-based PhotoBook creator (CeWe: Digital photos, CEWE PHOTO BOOKS, photo gifts - Welcome to the CEWE photoworld! // CEWE - simply beautiful photos), and getting a nice, paper album sent home to me. The question then is, is there a way (app or (android browser friendly) solution) that would allow me to select images from my Google-Picasa-Photo-Cloud-Storage, set them up in scrapbook/album fashion with annotations etc. and finally ordering a printed album like I did before?

I just got a motorola droid and they transferred all my pictures from the old phone. I went back through the pics, named them and put them into albums. So far so good, simple. But I put some in the wrong albums and when I go to delete a pic from one album it deletes the pic from EVERY album and from the gallery entirely. Are they gone or can I retrieve them from somewhere and start over? How to just delete pics from only one album? or how to move them to a to a different album would work too.

I want to be able to prevent all of my album art from being displayed in my gallery, and only to show the images/folders that I've actually placed in my gallery.
When i open my gallery, I see all the images & folders that I've put there,but I also see ALL of the folders with ALL of the album art..and this can be difficult.
Is there any way to prevent this? I want the album art to display in my music player-(when that album is playing).But I don't want to have to scroll through every frickin folder of all album arts every time I open my gallery to find pics/images.
Get's to be too much when you have over 20GB's of music and pretty much all of them have album art folders. Is this do-able?

I have the new single charts on my tab. It's an album. On my PC every track has a different cover. But in Play music on my Nexus 7 the cover of the first track is shown at all tracks.

I believe I have tried everything now to get rid of all my picasa pictures in the gallery on my tablet included reading the forum and the rest of internet and now my brain is soon exploding.I have a Iconia tablet with Taboonay 2.2 custom rom.What have I done:
-I have stopped automatic sync option in account/sync to my gmail account, there is now way to tick off gmail,contacts,calendar and picasa.Only option is to stop auto sync with the gmail account itself.
-in settings/app menu I have closed down gallery app and clear data
-with astro I have deleted cache in ..android/data/com.android.gallery3d and android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
-then I have wiped dalvik in recovery
but the pictures comes back like magic in front of my eyes every time I have tried.

i don't know if this is normal of not - when i use google play (downloaded from play store) and the album cover pic doesn't change. if it switch between artists (different "folder") it will change, but if i have 1 artist with like multiple albums it won't change album picture. and yes i'm sure the song has an album art attached refer to sig for my phone specs

Isntead, they either download from the internet, or they show the crappy scaled down version created by android! why! what's the problem! music players on iOS don't have this prolem! is my quad-core smartphone incapable of displaying a jpeg image!? Is there a way to change the compression level or something? I don't want to manually swap out every single thumbnail!
the only player that seems to do this is the Neutron music player (yea, I tried almsot every single android music player, almsot 50 of them). But Neutron MP has that crappy 2006 style theme! it's the year 2012! it looks so lame!

Thinking I was deleting a single photo, I accidentally deleted the camera photo album on my Droid Maxx (XT1080). It doesn't have an external memory card so I wanted to mount the phone as a disk drive and use Recuva that I have installed on my laptop. Well Recuva won't recognize the phone since I can only select MTP and PTP. I read that Google removed USB mounting? So how am I supposed to do this? I am unrooted. I was just about to backup all my photos too!

Whenever I boot my SGS2, PlayerPro Automatically starts (shows up in the notification bar, but doesn't play any music.), it states that it's playing a blank song (no name) by an unknown artist/album. I've cleared PP's data & cache, rebooted, done everything I can think if. How can I prevent this? GT-I9100

I am searching a music player for my android phone. I am looking for a feature where the application will post the song which I am listening on my Facebook account, with the album art of that same song.
I tried with PlayerPro, but it doesnt post the album art. Only the title of the song is diaplayed when I share on Facebook.

I accidentally deleted a whole photo album on my note 2. I have a program that will un-delete the photos however the Note 2 does not show up in windows 7 as a specific drive, only a media player or camera. Is there any possible way to un-delete these photos with any known software. I was able to do this before without an issue with CardRecovery 6.0 but now it will not detect the Note 2 since it is not showing as a drive.

I downloaded Astro because I'm suppose to be able to change the names of my pictures with it but when I open the program I can find all sorts of files, but I can't find a folder for my gallery or my library where the pictures are suppose to be. I think they should be there anyway.
Once I found a place to type a "name" & search but that did not find those file folders either. I thought I might search the "Name" of a photo I have on the phone but now I can't even find where to type in the name/date & time again.

I need to delete the gmail account from my old job off my droid. When i first synced that email account it automatically linked all my existing contacts to that email. so when i try to delete it it deletes all my contacts. Is there a way to change the email account that a contact is linked with? The password has been changed on that email account so im also constantly getting an error message that the account cannot sync.
