Media :: Why To Add Album Artwork Into The Album File
Nov 27, 2009why to add album artwork into the album file to have it show up on the Droid? I have added albums that all have the artwork in the ID3 tag but a few just wont show on the device so I'm wondering if there's another way to add it into the folder on the SD card that will have it show up in the media player?

Jun 12, 2012I recently began having a yellow star show up un my notification bar a few times a day. When I check it there are various ads that come from a domain called URL...how to determine which ap is causing these ads so I can delete or freeze it. I am usually not using any ap in particular when it happens so I don't know which one is responsible but I do want to stop it. It is most annoying when it is in the notification bar each time.

Aug 21, 2012A couple of weeks ago I noticed a number of apps that appeared on my All Apps list without me ever even installing them.
The two by martetrut and the casino one. I tried searching my phone for any trace of these apps and found nothing other than their appearance on this list.
Today, I looked at my list and now more mystery apps have appeared, with another app by that martetrut dev.
I downloaded lookout and Norton and ran several scans and they didn't pick up anything.... I'm a little concerned.

General :: Front Camera Pictures Appearing Flipped / Mirrored
Jan 4, 2014I just got the virgin mobile awe, and i took a couple pictures that i either didnt notice were flipped or werent flipped, because now all im noticing is how annoyed im becoming at them being flipped. What i mean is, after i take the picture, not the before image of me on the cell phone, the after image effect. I dont see any options to change this either. Its almost as if it changed settings itself.

Aug 16, 2012It happened today after I upgraded to the new firmware, 4.04 DXLR5.
Many strange files with an icon that is grey and looks like a square with 2 keyholes and a lightning bolt appeared in all my sd card directories when viewed with the gallery app. These files, when clicked, show a blank screen.
But these files don't exist when viewed with my other apps like quickpic and es file viewer, and when I view the sdcard on my pc with a card reader.
For example originally I had 49 files in my dcim/camera directory. When viewed in gallery, it says I have 114 files. When viewed in quickpic or any other app, I still have 49 files. I cleared data in the gallery app but the same problem exists.
General :: Changing MP3 Album Art?
May 9, 2011I have a certain group of mp3 files on my device for which I wish to change the album art image. I used a program called "mp3tag" to edit and save each file (from my computer) with the new cover image embeded in the tag info.
However, when I play these tracks the original album art still displays on both my music players (stock player and Just Playlists). If I go back and mount the device as an external drive and view these files again with mp3tag, it still shows the corrected/updated image.
why the correct imbeded cover art will not display when I play the files on my phone?

Jun 2, 2012I recently moved a hundred or so photos off my phone but the thumbnails still show in the directory view of photo album. I can remove them one at a time, but it's tedious. I can't find a way to refresh it, and can't find the directory where the thumbnails are stored to wipe them out en masse .

I deleted the winamp database but the artwork is still there.
I have also used the stock HTC app to get album art (from gracenote again) and can't get rid of that artwork
why after getting the artwork it shows on other music apps but not others?

I want to change the thumbnail picture displayed in the gallery app (I'd call that the 'key photo' from using apple products in the past). It seems to default to the first images in a particular album, I've tried various taps and swipes and looking in the app and album settings but can't find anything.

The idea is to remove the need for a M$ PC in my home, instead accessing all my content from the cloud via my Android units. So far it has worked wonderfully, and I'm really happy I did it. Earlier I used to make a photo collection or two each year of selected photos using a PC-based PhotoBook creator (CeWe: Digital photos, CEWE PHOTO BOOKS, photo gifts - Welcome to the CEWE photoworld! // CEWE - simply beautiful photos), and getting a nice, paper album sent home to me. The question then is, is there a way (app or (android browser friendly) solution) that would allow me to select images from my Google-Picasa-Photo-Cloud-Storage, set them up in scrapbook/album fashion with annotations etc. and finally ordering a printed album like I did before?

General :: Motorola Droid - Delete Pics From Only One Album?
Mar 16, 2012I just got a motorola droid and they transferred all my pictures from the old phone. I went back through the pics, named them and put them into albums. So far so good, simple. But I put some in the wrong albums and when I go to delete a pic from one album it deletes the pic from EVERY album and from the gallery entirely. Are they gone or can I retrieve them from somewhere and start over? How to just delete pics from only one album? or how to move them to a to a different album would work too.

Feb 28, 2012 I want to be able to prevent all of my album art from being displayed in my gallery, and only to show the images/folders that I've actually placed in my gallery.
When i open my gallery, I see all the images & folders that I've put there,but I also see ALL of the folders with ALL of the album art..and this can be difficult.
Is there any way to prevent this? I want the album art to display in my music player-(when that album is playing).But I don't want to have to scroll through every frickin folder of all album arts every time I open my gallery to find pics/images.
Get's to be too much when you have over 20GB's of music and pretty much all of them have album art folders. Is this do-able?

Oct 16, 2011I believe I have tried everything now to get rid of all my picasa pictures in the gallery on my tablet included reading the forum and the rest of internet and now my brain is soon exploding.I have a Iconia tablet with Taboonay 2.2 custom rom.What have I done:
-I have stopped automatic sync option in account/sync to my gmail account, there is now way to tick off gmail,contacts,calendar and picasa.Only option is to stop auto sync with the gmail account itself.
-in settings/app menu I have closed down gallery app and clear data
-with astro I have deleted cache in ..android/data/com.android.gallery3d and android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
-then I have wiped dalvik in recovery
but the pictures comes back like magic in front of my eyes every time I have tried.

May 4, 2012i don't know if this is normal of not - when i use google play (downloaded from play store) and the album cover pic doesn't change. if it switch between artists (different "folder") it will change, but if i have 1 artist with like multiple albums it won't change album picture. and yes i'm sure the song has an album art attached refer to sig for my phone specs

the only player that seems to do this is the Neutron music player (yea, I tried almsot every single android music player, almsot 50 of them). But Neutron MP has that crappy 2006 style theme! it's the year 2012! it looks so lame!
