General :: HTC Sense Port To ZTE Blade
Mar 17, 2012So a couple of developers and I are porting HTC Sense to the ZTE Blade. I have come here for guidance for porting it. So what I have is a MPDI port from the HTC Salsa which boots. I want to port the ROM from MDPI to HDPI.
Should I get the system apps from the Desire S and put the .pngs into the other Salsa apps and overlap the MDPI ones? Also there are more pngs in the Desire S than the Salsa one. So would I copy over the existing ones only or all of them? And do I rename the folders from MDPI to HDPI or leave them?

In Portrait mode: normal size keyboard in Landscape mode: big size keyboard, should use about 70 -80 % of the screen.
Currently I am using Hackers Keyboard, 4 Row, 70% size. There are 2 lines left to see, when typing.
Is there a way or an app so the android status bar (clock, battery, etc) is hidden when turning the phone from Portrait to Landscape so the whole screen can be used for typing?

May 9, 2011I have a certain group of mp3 files on my device for which I wish to change the album art image. I used a program called "mp3tag" to edit and save each file (from my computer) with the new cover image embeded in the tag info.
However, when I play these tracks the original album art still displays on both my music players (stock player and Just Playlists). If I go back and mount the device as an external drive and view these files again with mp3tag, it still shows the corrected/updated image.
why the correct imbeded cover art will not display when I play the files on my phone?

Feb 11, 2012I downloaded Astro because I'm suppose to be able to change the names of my pictures with it but when I open the program I can find all sorts of files, but I can't find a folder for my gallery or my library where the pictures are suppose to be. I think they should be there anyway.
Once I found a place to type a "name" & search but that did not find those file folders either. I thought I might search the "Name" of a photo I have on the phone but now I can't even find where to type in the name/date & time again.

When i first synced that email account it automatically linked all my existing contacts to that email. so when i try to delete it it deletes all my contacts. Is there a way to change the email account that a contact is linked with? The password has been changed on that email account so im also constantly getting an error message that the account cannot sync.

Oct 24, 2010I keep having to change my default ringtone to my choice, for some unknown reason, it keeps getting changed back to default. I have rings extended and have changed most of my contacts ringtones and they have stayed, but whenever I go to settings and change it and then either shut my phone off, plug it in, whatever, it causes it to go back to default. I have tried ringdroid and that seems to only work as a ringtone maker, it will not show up in the menu to change tones like Rings Extended does. I also moved my ringtones to an appropriate folder for access. I also have adw launcher now (previously Launcherpro plus-which made no difference)

Oct 11, 2012I have a couple of FLV format movies on my phone that play fine with the MX Player video app. The problem is, they are not associated with the player. For some reason, they were auto associated with ZA Archiver (winzip type app), so clicking on the vids in my file explorer triggers that app instead. Plus it opens to ZA's browser, meaning I'd have to browse to the vids again to try and open. At that point, ZA then asks what program I want to open them with. Clearing data on ZA didnt' work (How I thought you could remove file type associations), and uninstalling it removed all associations with the movies. It then just gives me an error that the files cannot be opened.
Is there any way I can force FLV's to always open in MX Player? I know I could use MX's built in browser to get to them as well, but just a personal preference thing that I want to use the stock file explorer.

Feb 16, 2012I downloaded a theme (suave redone light) and applied it, and as its supposed to, the font changed. But now, whenever I apply a new theme or a font from a certain theme, there's always a few programs that keep the suave font, and after I mess around with the phone for a while, things like the settings, notes, the bible app, change back to the suave font.
It's not like it's a really big deal, but I don't like having some apps with a different font, specially when it's two completely different fonts.

Apr 6, 2013Few days ago I changed ROM to newest Kyrillos version in my Ace II and I saw that radio don't work correctly.
When I turn on the radio first time after rebooting it works fine and I haven't got problem, but when I set off radio and I want to start listening radio again it doesn't start playing, all the time on the top is an information that radio is "Turning on" and phone starts lagging. After about 30 seconds system says that FM Radio isn't responding and it is asking me if I want to close it. Before, when I had Android 2.3.6 and Kyrillos ROM for this version, I hadn't got any problems with FM Radio.

May 30, 2013how to change the cell phone frequencies of a phone. I'm looking into a knock off 4G phone, but the frequencies run on 850mhz. I'm looking to switch it to Verizon's 700mhz 4G LTE network. What are the kernels or ROMs needed in order to do this? The phone has the hardware to support GSM and LTE. I may even test it out on my Droid Razr, as I've heard they have both but Verizon disabled the GSM function on it.
