i don't know if this is normal of not - when i use google play (downloaded from play store) and the album cover pic doesn't change. if it switch between artists (different "folder") it will change, but if i have 1 artist with like multiple albums it won't change album picture. and yes i'm sure the song has an album art attached refer to sig for my phone specs

Google music is for some reason downloading album art to my xperia play's internal storage instead of sd card. As you can guess, it's eating up ~100mb of my 400mb internal storage and the music files are still downloading to the sd card. Is there a way to make Google Play Music download album art to the sd card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen i was recently in the US i was given an HTC EVO VIEW. I have now taken it back with me to the UK but unsurprisingly my Google Play application is the US version. I am using the same Google Play account as i do on my Xperia Neo which is the UK version so the account isn't the problem.
I have factory reset the device in the UK and the 'Android Market' app that is preinstalled is still the US version (and so is the 'Google Play' app that it is updated into) which means that some apps are not available, some say they are not compatible due to location, and everything is in $$$.
I've recently bought a Nexus 7, and am loving my first taste of android having been heavily into iOS devices previously. I want to change the thumbnail picture displayed in the gallery app (I'd call that the 'key photo' from using apple products in the past). It seems to default to the first images in a particular album, I've tried various taps and swipes and looking in the app and album settings but can't find anything.

Last year I did the same with my docs, music and videos. The idea is to remove the need for a M$ PC in my home, instead accessing all my content from the cloud via my Android units. So far it has worked wonderfully, and I'm really happy I did it. Earlier I used to make a photo collection or two each year of selected photos using a PC-based PhotoBook creator (CeWe: Digital photos, CEWE PHOTO BOOKS, photo gifts - Welcome to the CEWE photoworld! // CEWE - simply beautiful photos), and getting a nice, paper album sent home to me. The question then is, is there a way (app or (android browser friendly) solution) that would allow me to select images from my Google-Picasa-Photo-Cloud-Storage, set them up in scrapbook/album fashion with annotations etc. and finally ordering a printed album like I did before?
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
How I can stop update the google play version automatically ??
Because if I donwgrade them to 4.0 he automatically update to 4.3 !!

I was wondering if any of you know of a good App Market that doesn't link to the Play Store? I tried GetJar, AppBrain & BAM but they all link to the Play Store page. (It always says "This item is not available in your country" unless Ive installed it before)I also tried SlideME but it didn't even have some very known apps.

Yesterday i saw under notifications that "google+" is auto-updating to latest version. but because of i don't want to use google+ (and i can't uninstall it), i pressed and hold (during the update-process - on the notifications bar) and tapped on "App Info". From there i selected to stop the task, cleared the data and deactivated. Then it was gone also from the notifications. -- i know i could have tapped only once and stopped the update in playstore, but i just wanted to make it quick.
But the problem started there: when i want to open playstore, it shows up for a second then closes back again with a FC. Reboot didn't worked.
I have done clearing data of "Google Play Store" and "Google Services Framework" and rebooting but this did not solve the problem.i received 3 Update-Notifications for some apps but when i tapped on the notification, playstore opens then closes after a second the same way.
I got also a com.google.gapps (as far as i remember) FC-error sometimes..I wanted to install the playstore from an apk, but interestingly i couldn't download anything from the (stock) internet browser (the download does simply not start or the download-page closes). I also tried with Chrome to download, but there i even got FCs when i wanted to download anything. So i think this has to do something with the playstore-problem.is there a way i could fix this, without restoring the whole phone?
I'm using the latest version of Google Maps on JB 4.2.2 [Nexus 4]..I noticed that I cannot edit the names of my locations in "My Places" in the phone app. So I used Google Bookmarks (google.com/bookmarks) from my PC to edit/rename My Places. However, the names do not sync or carry through to the Google Maps app on the phone. The names in the app are still the generic names, coordinates or street names.
Is there any way to change the names of My Places and get them to sync with the phone app? Really baffling!
Just installed the new Google Search. But i dont have any options to turn on cards, like TV shows, local transport etc. Do these appear over time? I only have 4 things in "Everything else" but i have seen people have like 20+

It doesn't show me apps to buy for money. Nothing. Also there are apps which I can't download because it says 'This item is not available in your country'
I used my friend's email to log into play store and the problem's gone. Everything work fine. I created a new email account but it still doesn't work I can only fully use play store using his email.

There is allways this problem... with youtube.. while having working internet wifi/3G.

I thing is, that my time in recovery mode is different... is there a possibillity to change the time in recovery? But is this really important ?It worked before without a specific recovery time.
im using the free version from the market. when i first opened it it gave me the option to do by songs or by album. for some reason i thought by album would be easier. when i went to play the songs i noticed that it was linking multiple songs with the same album cover..most were not even from the same artist. i uninstalled it, then reinstalled and still didnt get the option to do it by song.
how do i update the album for the ones that got the wrong cover? there are some songs that still dont have one at all as its not showing up in the list in the app of album cover..i have been using ayal music download to download the songs. i currently have music mod, and mixzing downloaded and the problem is happening with all of the music players. im hoping there is a way to fix this..i dont necessarily need the album cover, but it would be nice to have.

l uninstalled Google Search and Google Play store apps, but they were not completely uninstalled and now I can't reinstall them because the store says they are installed. I cannot find them on my android tablet and so I cannot use them. What is a good app to completely uninstall them. Some of these apps will not install on my Lenovo tablet.

I can't see an option to ask Google Play Music to look into Google Drive and upload the music from there. I have connected my Google play music app on my nexus 7 to my Google account' but nothing seems to happen. Surely Google is able to connect two parts of its cloud together and I don't have to re upload everything?

Does anyone know how to fix the default Music player's behaviour when long-pressing on an album and selecting "Play" ?
If you start playing by quick-pressing the album, it shows you the list of songs. If tagged correctly, this list is in correct song order, and will play the album in order from whichever song you select to start from. If not tagged correctly, it shows in alphabetical order.
So far, so good.. can't complain... BUT...
If you start playing an album by long-pressing it and selecting "Play", it plays it alphabetically, regardless of the status of the tagging.
Is there anyway to change the default album in HTC Album widget.
