Apr 26, 2010I just godt the HTC Legend the other day. Every monday, I sms/text 35 people about the time of a soccer match.
Today, when I was about to send out to the group that I've made with 35 people, the phone converted the sms to mms and could only send out to the first 25.
How can I solve this problem? I need to sms (and not mms) to 35 people. Can I download another sms application or something?

Dec 30, 2012I have noticed in the text message app if I create a new message and click the icon button next to enter recipient to choose a contact from my contacts there are contacts from just about everyone who has emailed me on my gmail account! This is not ideal at all.. I Would like just the contacts in my phone to be available. How do I remove all of those gmail contacts.

Apr 6, 2012I somehow (knowingly or unknowingly) touched & dialled a number from an adult content app and then hung up. Since that day, I keep getting text msgs from different numbers, with lewd text & asking me to call a number (constant across all these sms-es). I block the number using MyVerizon number blocking service; but in 2-3 days I get similar text, asking me to call the same number, from a different number. I keep on blocking this new number (from where the text came) and they keep on sending same text from a different number. This keep on increasing my text bill.
If I reply to one of those texts saying "STOP", as the verizon customer care rep suggested, wouldn't that flag my number as LIVE and they'll start sending me more texts?How about using sms blocker apps? Again, question there is - do the sms blocker apps just delete spam msgs upon receiving and will I still incur the sms cost in my bill?

I put my cursor in the "To:" textbox and then press the icon that lets me add people from my contact list, but after I select them and press "done," it says "The message must contain valid recipients and content."

I understand that this happens by design on some networks if you're sending a text to more than 10 people at once, but I was only sending the same text to 2 people. I'm with T-Mobile and I have unlimited texts as part of my contract, but MMS messages cost 20p each, so obviously I don't want this to happen. Can this be changed so the messages send as regular texts?

May 15, 2013I just got a Star N9300 phone and activated it with Ultra Mobile Service. I tried texting some short codes on it but keep getting the message: Free Msg: Unable to send message - Message Blocking is active. Text messaging to regular phone numbers works fine though. I called Ultra's support and they said that they block short code messages. They did not offer to unblock the messages so I'm stuck. Is there a way I can get around this by programming my phone or a program I can install that will allow me to get messages. I am running Android 4.0 and it is an unlocked GSM phone.

Sep 16, 2010Since day 1 of getting this phone, I've been bombarded with text messages from TMZ (hollywood gossip company). I usually get anywhere from 5-20 text from them a day. Like I said, this has been an ongoing thing since day one and it's progressively getting worse. Ive never been to their site, no one has touched my phone and gone to their site nor text them. I keep a close watch over my phone at all times.

May 20, 2010I use TAB and Shift-Tab in Visual Studio to indent an entire selection. This does nothing in Eclipse, and I can't seem to find another way to do it.
Update: I wasn't really paying all that much attention to this initially and did not ask the question correctly.
I now realized that it is in XML files where TAB still does not indent a selection. I did not find a setting for this in the properties, so I assume it is not possible.

I downloaded the Handcent App and even it does the same thing as the stock app. It appears there's an option to split the message up as described when sent to a group. But it still creates the new thread whenever sending to individual names.
