HTC Tattoo :: Text Block Goes Blank In Landscape Mode
Apr 22, 2010When I input text for SMS the text block goes blank when I flip the phone to landscape mode. Any ideas? When I flip it back to portrait the text appears again.

HTC Incredible :: Anyway To Use Enter Button As Send Text In Landscape Mode?
May 1, 2010I switched from my Motorola Droid to the Incredible a few days ago and the one thing I have noticed is that on the Motorola in landscape mode on the touchscreen keyboard was a send button to send the text right from that screen. Is this possible on the incredible in anyway on sense ui? Its driving me nuts to have to lower the keyboard or hit back button to send it. Any idea? I know its a minimal problem, but its annoying to me.

Mar 26, 2012there are those of us, who due to whatever reason (helmet cams, preference for posture, etc) want to record videos in portrait mode.
What happens (on my sgs2) is that the video records just fine in whatever resolution I pick... but it records it 90 degrees rotated to the right.
The solution that is usually offered is that "you can rotate it after!" yes... but then you have to CROP part of the image and lower the resolution. 1920 x 1080 recordings end up having to be cropped so that half of the view is cut out , or even more if you are maintaining a real aspect ratio.
The questions about "why not just hold it sideways", are just as pointless as the statement by steve jobs telling iphone4 users that they were holding their phones wrong.
is this something that can be remedied ? or has google decided that people should only record videos when their phones are in landscape mode?
i understand that we cant see landscape resolution in portrait mode; but can't we just have a viewport into the camera, but record in properly oriented landscape mode? so that playback on a computer will show the full resolution, even though we will only see part of it on the phone..

HTC Incredible :: Recovery Mode - Goes To A Blank Screen?
Nov 9, 2010I had a older dinc. that had 2.1 on it and it got broke so i got a new incredible that has 2.2 factory on it. i went thru the root process, and rooted it using the guide and everythign looked ok and went thru fine. "s" off and everything. well when you go into recovery mode, it goes to a blank screen and has the two white bars on each side of the screen. i thought i had this fixed with a link that had a update that i ran. now it is happned again. also when i tried to download a new rom and went to install it gets hung up in the htc screen for 45 min and during the process it seems to have bries screen flashes of siff colors... im not a pro at this but when i had my old dinc, never had any problems rooting or changing roms or anything... is there something missing? should i downgrade to 2.1 on this on and try to go that route?

Oct 10, 2010I found that when EditText in placing at the bottom of screen, and the activity's android:windowSoftInputMode="adjustPan", and the apps run in ldpi(240*320) mode, then when EditText has focus, the content of the activity is panned too far to the above, thus leaving a blank screen between the content of the window and the soft input panel.

When I test further, if the same apps run in hdpi(480*800), when EditText got focus, the content of the window panned too small thus causing the soft input window cover the EditText view. It seems the distance of the window panned not compute the screen density.

I got the auto-adjust option for the Display turned on but for some reason the screen won't switch to the landscape mode as long as I don't pull out the physical keyboard.
