Is there anyway of doing this easily? Iprevious phones that i have had you could 'mark' several recipients when going through your phone book.

Is there a way to select multiple people from the contacts list to send a text message to? I know I can type there names in the to field but I would rather be able to check off multiple names on the contacts. Is this a possibility, i need to send out a text blasts and need the easiest way to do it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSetup up the MMS APN correctly in mobile networks, if there is nothing in there, select sony erricson in the top menu in side settings, and download network settings.
Go into the MMS APN and setup as per the attached document.
Basically when a text is more than 1 is goes via MMS hence it's failing because the settings for this for vodafone on the X10 are incomplete...figures!!
Once your done power the phone down, take out the sim card power the phone back on.
Once in turn it off put the Sim card back in power up and your done you can now send
I just got my xperia yesterday but for some reason i cant seem to send text messages when i put my sim in the new phone. i can receive them, make and receive calls and get on the internet no problem. i have also tried resetting the factory settings twice!
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem recently with my phone sending text messages to random nonsensical numbers. i.e. I get a message failure because the phone tried to text "0110000100000" which is obviously not a phone number. I had installed handcent almost immeadiatly upon getting the phone. So I tried uninstalling it and putting on chomp. Still have the same problem. It seems to help if I use my task killer after using the sms app.
I am running the original firmware that came on the phone from Rogers, as everytime I use pc companion, it tells me i am up to date, and the update service locks up my computer (and my laptop and my wife's netbook).
I would rather not do a factory reset, but I am getting pretty close.
I recently bought a X10 mini/pro. Today I took a look at my latest invoice from the phone company. I was billed for sending a text message to a swedish phone number...........Searching the internet I found out that many people experience that their Sony Ericsson phones, by themselves, send text messages to a phone number belonging to Sony Ericsson, Sweden.

When I take a pic that I want to share, I'll tap "Share".
There, I will access the field to enter an email address that I want to send the photo to. If I have multiple people to send it to, do I have to type in each individual address, or is there a way to access my contact list somewhere so I can simply go through and select/click recipients?
Is there a way for sending a single message to multiple recipients for the message to be placed inside the conversation for each individual instead of creating a new thread for that one message?
I downloaded the Handcent App and even it does the same thing as the stock app. It appears there's an option to split the message up as described when sent to a group. But it still creates the new thread whenever sending to individual names.

I understand that this happens by design on some networks if you're sending a text to more than 10 people at once, but I was only sending the same text to 2 people. I'm with T-Mobile and I have unlimited texts as part of my contract, but MMS messages cost 20p each, so obviously I don't want this to happen. Can this be changed so the messages send as regular texts?

(As per user interface, I select an item from The spinner in one activity and send it as text msg.) The coding for text msg is done in another activity i.e the second activity.I m successfully able to select the desired item from the Spinner but am not able to pass it as text message. to select the item from first activity. I put my cursor in the "To:" textbox and then press the icon that lets me add people from my contact list, but after I select them and press "done," it says "The message must contain valid recipients and content."

Had my x10 for nearly 2 weeks now and absolutely love it, I have one niggle though, When sending sms i cant add contact instead having to enter number, This is really frustrating me as it takes ages to get number. All my other phones were able to add contact rather than number, Is there a solution?
View 8 Replies View RelatedThis might just be me being picky, but... after the update yesterday, when I go to select multiple contacts to send a text to it now gives a list of EVERYONE in my phone book and facebook friends listing their home/email/cell phone numbers all individually, which caused the list to go from about 50 names to scroll through to over 300. Now before the update when I went to select multiple contacts to send a text to it was just the list of the people who's phone numbers I have in my phone. (BTW, this is the stock messaging feature, not an app or any of that). I've looked for hours for a setting to only show phone numbers and not to show facebook contacts in the text selection but no luck at all. Can you guys help a semi tech savvy guy out here?

Also does not seem to receive any business cards sent to the phone from other phones.
