View 1 RepliesI'm using a Spice Mi-350 phone (It is the same as Lenovo A60). On the stock Google Maps worked perfectly. But recently i flashed Yonip 5.3.7 Rebirth ROM. Since then Google Maps does not work anymore. When ever i open it, it says 'This application requires a working data connection'. I have a fully working data connection and every other app on my phone can access the internet except for Google Maps and it's related apps(like Navigation,Places,Local,etc).
Here is the download link for the Yonip 5.3.7 Rebirth ROM. [URL] .....
I am unable to flash hawk eye.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just did a flash of Cyanogenmod9 (Domination) and im getting full bars, but I cant do google searches, or access the gps. Clearly im there is something wrong with my connection. When I look at my settings I see full bars, but beside it it says "No internet connection".... very puzzling. The wifi does work perfectly though.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe ROM that I use on my phone pretty much discourages dirty flashing updates [CM10.1 based]. So for the last 10 or so updates, I have clean wiped my HTC Rezound, then restored from a TitaniumBackup.
First I disabled compression of backups.
Then to restore I go to /sdcard/TitaniumBackup/ and run a bash command:
# for i in *.apk; do pm install "$i"; done
Then I go to TitaniumBackup, and every app is installed but doesn't have my data. So then I batch restore my data for my apps [Pretty much only user apps, except a few system things like SMS, WiFi networks]. But the problem is, recently, TitaniumBackup will quit halfway through a batch restore of "Data only." So I've been manually restoring data 1 by 1 for the apps that I need data to be saved across rom updates.
But then I thought, "Hey, why can't I just backup my /data/data/ folder?" but then I also thought that would probably be like a dirty flash.
i need to flash my M-horse 920 mini which is a spread trum phone running under android 2.3. Now i don't know how to flash without making mistake and bricking my phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a GT-I5510, and it's usb port is broken due to an unfortunate contact with a puddle. So i am trying to flash it to CWM Recovery through wireless communication. I have spent ~6 hours digging the forums, i have a .tar file, and an .img file i can flash, but i wasn't able to find a .zip file to flash through recovery mode. Both Mobile Odin and Flash Image GUI don't support the device, so they are out of the question too. Is there any other way possible to flash an .img file through the phone itself?

I recently got my first android phone - Samsung Galaxy W.
I decided to install a custom rom. Before that i had to root my phone which i did without any problems. After that i had to flash ClockworkMod v5.5.0.4. I downloaded the file which was in zip however i didn't extract it (which is what i should have done) and copied into my phone's memory. After that i put this code in the command promt
adb shell
$su
#dd if=/sdcard/
recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ancora.zip of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
After rebooting the phone i can only get into the download mode in which nothing happens. And when i connent the phone to my pc the computer doesn't detect that my phone is connected. What shall i do now? Is my phone a brick now?
Just found this link to an apk that claims to port over the working full flash program from 2.2 to work with 2.1. From reading the comments, it appears it only works with HTC phones because of the flash lite already on them. I installed it, and tested a few sites and it seems to work great. I didn't to a test before I installed it to see what sites didnt work. ANyway, here's the link if anyone wants to experiment. Adobe Flash 10.1 full support for Android 2.0 and 2.1 Download and install apk.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince last two days I tried to root my lenevo A60 aka spice Mi-350 in India ( android - 2.3.3 ) without any success. I have first tried with the following
1. A60-tools-v2 in winxp (URL....)
2. URL....with winxp
3. gingerbreak (URL....)
No luck :( I have attempted the guides many times to confirm..... seems driver problem.
Now within linux I am trying SuperOneClick (URL....) and during the process I have found actually the adb can't communicate with the phone. If I run "adblinux discover" as root it shows as following
Code:
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached.And due to this the superoneclick is not progressing. obviously at phone I have usb debugging on. I have also added the following udev rules found at URL...
Code:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb" ID_VENDOR_ID=="0bb4", MODE="0666"
SUBSYSTEM=="usb" ID_VENDOR_ID=="18d1", MODE="0666"
SUBSYSTEM=="usb" ID_VENDOR_ID=="05ac", MODE="0666".
but no luck. Any way to activate adb so that I can run superoneclick..Or any other way to root it ..

how to Root the Spice MI-535 Stellar Pinnacle Pro device and how to install the CWM recovery for spice mi-535?.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Spice MI-350 Mobile phone. The phone is on Android 2.3.3
BasebandMP.V1.F9.P3, 2011/08/23
SOFT BUILD NO: SPICE_MI-350_IND_VER1.5 BUILD INFO 110901_1144
I tried to root MI-350 through Gingerbreak 1.2 and also Z4Root ( During GB and Z4Root installation, I put the APK file in SD root and then installing from there; then after installation, went to the icon and run the software).
In case of Gingerbreak, Gingerbreak went into infinite loop and ultimately after 45 minutes, I have to stop and start the phone.
In case of Z4Root, during 'Acquiring Seell' process, the process got automatically closed i.e. Z4Root went back to normal screen.
On checking, I found that Rooting did not happen. I tried this multple time to ensure that this is not one off scenario.
what can be done or where I have gone wrong?
Not able to load titanium back-up for this.
im wondering is there such way to create a zip file with multiple zips in to flash at once? Purpose of it is to save time flashing 5 different zips through recovery every time we flash new roms?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHow i can directly reboot into recovery and flash a .zip file via script for terminal emulator?
I think you know the ROMManager, you can download updates there, it automatically reboots into recovery and flashes without asking the .zip file, how can i realize that via script for the terminal emulator? cuz i want to create a updater for my and my friends roms
I rooted my phone using Z4 then used Titanium Backup for backing up and then recovery. Now while rebooting into recovery mode the phone took a long time in booting so I removed the battery and tried to reboot. But the phone makes the signature sound and after that only displays the following word 'spice'.
