I have spent ~6 hours digging the forums, i have a .tar file, and an .img file i can flash, but i wasn't able to find a .zip file to flash through recovery mode. Both Mobile Odin and Flash Image GUI don't support the device, so they are out of the question too. Is there any other way possible to flash an .img file through the phone itself?

Mar 2, 2012I recently got my first android phone - Samsung Galaxy W.
I decided to install a custom rom. Before that i had to root my phone which i did without any problems. After that i had to flash ClockworkMod v5.5.0.4. I downloaded the file which was in zip however i didn't extract it (which is what i should have done) and copied into my phone's memory. After that i put this code in the command promt
adb shell
$su
#dd if=/sdcard/
recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ancora.zip of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
After rebooting the phone i can only get into the download mode in which nothing happens. And when i connent the phone to my pc the computer doesn't detect that my phone is connected. What shall i do now? Is my phone a brick now?

Apr 3, 2013I'm using JB 1.4.2 on Razr i. There's one thing that's annoying me a lot. I've installed the SNES Emulator SuperGNES and I've found that every single file type that have no app associated is showing SuperGNES icon and associated with it. Example: .log, .db, etc. Even files that have no extension is associated with it. The same problem occur when ZArchiver is installed. I don't know if it's a bug of these two apps or Android's in general. Remembering that this associations are shown only inside Android's native file manager. It's like every "unknown MIME type file" act like being the same.
